Which Dallas Cowboy Players Are Single

How many cowboys players have criminal records?

Now, now! Let's NOT be negative! A couple of the guys you note have
merely been charged, and Johnson's last run-in while with the Bears
proved to be a fraudulent DUI stop in Gilbert/Mesa Arizona, where the cops are unethical predators. Just being arrested is not even interesting, let alone PROOF of anything, especially when the charges prove to be fake, bogus, or
ridiculously exaggerated. The child molesters and wee-wee exposers on the Cowboys are GONE, years ago. At least, most people think they are. And the former coach who figured he was immune from firearms transport regulations is gone, too. In fact, except for withholding testimony on a few felonies and an assault charge or two, why, they're... Well, you know who they are.

Who is the best Dallas Cowboys player of all time?

Reasonable folks can disagree, but I would have a top 10 something like this:1. Emmitt Smith, RB2. Roger Staubach, QB3. Bob Lilly, DT4. Larry Allen, OG5. DeMarcus Ware, OLB (current)6. Randy White, DT7. Troy Aikman, QB8. Michael Irvin, WR9. Ed "Too Tall" Jones, DE10. Tony Dorsett, RBDeion Sanders would make this list, as would Charles Haley, had they played longer with Dallas.Mel Renfro, Lee Roy Jordan, Drew Pearson, Everson Walls, Charlie Waters,  Hollywood Henderson, Harvey Martin,  Nate Newton, Erik Williams, Jethro Pugh, Jay Novacek, Tony Romo, T.O. (briefly), Miles Austin, Dez Bryant and a few others might make some lists. All were great players -- but tell me, who don't you like in the Top 10 I submitted?  BTW, ranked by AV (approximate value), pro football reference has Lilly #1 (172), Emmitt #2 (169).  So it's a horse race.

Why do NFL players sign one day contracts before retiring?

In football especially—a sport where age and injury take a heavier toll on players than other American professional sports—it is common for there to be disagreement between superstars and team management late in a player’s career. The superstar tends to think that he’s still got quality years left and wants to continue playing on a big-money contract, while management may doubt the player’s continuing value. Sometimes, a player may want the chance to win a Super Bowl, but may doubt management’s commitment to winning now; indeed, management may be entering a rebuilding cycle, which is the last place someone in the twilight of his career usually wants to be. The NFL is a brutal sport in more ways than one: given the salary cap, you simply cannot be competitive by having players signed to bad contracts, and so even players who have performed at the highest levels are often faced with the prospect of being released, traded, or made to take significant pay cuts if they want to stay on a particular team. Typically, players aren’t happy about the latter option, and will seek to test the market elsewhere. As a result, no matter what is said in the press—typically, everyone’s professional and comments that it’s “just business”—there’s usually some hurt feelings on the way out the door as a star player is released or traded or it’s announced that he won’t be resigned in free agency. The one-day contract is often a “make up” between player and management, a way of saying “we know you finished your career with a (usually mediocre) season or two elsewhere, but you’ll always be a member of our team, and we’re thankful for everything you did.” There’s usually a press conference where the player, other players, the coach, and/or the GM get together and share jokes and memories, and the player—usually someone who is Hall of Fame caliber or who made significant contributions to the team—gets the send-off that he didn’t get a few years earlier. It’s a nice ceremony in a game that is often cruel, even though it has no bearing on Hall of Fame considerations or any material significance.

What are your thoughts on the Dallas Cowboys 2019 regular season schedule?

What are your thoughts on the Dallas Cowboys 2019 regular season schedule? Here are some of my thoughts:They are still America’s Team - they have the max of 5 prime-time gamesA New Tradition? - another season opener against the GiantsBuild a big division lead - it looks like another brutal December (Bears, Rams, Eagles, and Redskins)Getting screwed with Thanksgiving - they continue to get screwed by the scheduling around the Thanksgiving game. They have the late game in New England the week before and then a Thursday away game the week afterScrewed again - 1 of 4 teams in NFL history with 0 back to back home games

Why are there so many Cowboy Haters???

The Cowboys throughout their history have either been despised or appreciated,no middle ground, both reasons are because of their success, the Cowboy haters come out of the woodwork every time the Cowboys have a team that might make it to the super bowl, they can put them down all they want, but how can they not accept the fact that 5 super bowl throphies belong to the Cowboys, and getting ready to go for # 6
As for being America's Team, that was pinned on them by the media when they saw that everywhere they played there were thousands of Cowboys fans

Can Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones actually bench a "disrespectful" player over the National Anthem?

Yes.The free speech in question is not that of the players that is in question it is the free speech of the team owners in question. Will they allow their players to protest? The constitution protects your individual right to free speech. Not your right violate workplace norms or engage in inflammatory free speech while on the clock.I acknowledge the issue of pervasive police brutality largely against young black males. It’s terrible how much police officers get away with. However I am worried we are on a slippery slope when it comes to performers (and that’s what pro athletes are) to express political views while on the clock.Your free speech is not protected while you are on the clock, you can still be fired for expressing unpopular opinions and doing so in a way that violates norms and could expose your employer to financial loss.If you lose your boss money or bring negative publicity to their business they have every right to fire you or in this case bench you.
