Is it better to apply for a job directly through an employer, or is it better to use a third-party job site like Hcareers or Indeed?

In today’s fast paced world, both methods can have its advantages and disadvantages. While it is true that you can just upload your Resume on these third party websites, many of them do require advance questions for your profile. This is used to then send you jobs they think you may be interested in, other than those that you have applied for.Third party websites has its advantages when it comes to small companies seeking potential employees, as they often do not have a HR department and these websites such as Indeed. It can be expensive, so most of these companies would only use third party career websites for hard to get positions, that requires an extensive screening of potential candidates.Employers website application, may be more extensive as they are “screening” you out to see if you are qualified for the job you are applying for. This lets them know if they should call you in for an interview or not.Just be aware however, that even though it is not said and hard to prove, some recruiting websites can blacklist an applicant if they have applied for tons of job and have not been selected for the same and also if your job profile is not up to date. Also once your Resume has been submitted to a company, sometimes you can get locked out for a few months before you are able to submit another application again. This old adage would be great to remember in this scenario, “Don’t put all your eggs in one basket.” Try various websites and application process. If you can apply directly with the company, do so. If you have to apply with a career website, do so and make sure your profile and Resume is updated.Good luck and thanks for the A2A.

I applied to a few jobs with the wrong email?

It turns out that email doesn't work and nobody can send emails to me through it. I used all electronic applications for the jobs but gave them the wrong email address. Would they call me or if not, what else should I do? Should I call them?
P.S. Im 15 and I applied to places like Six Flags and Joann's Fabric if that info helps...

Should I call, walk in or email about a job?

I already applied online and lets just say that I am DESPERATE for a job. Its been on my mind for a while. I am 16 years old and applied to 4 starbucks. Should I follow up by a call , email or walk in the store? Any tips that will help me get the job?

Is it bad to apply for a job after 5pm?

If a job is posted, do you wait and apply tomorrow morning or would right now (after 5pm) be best?

If you do apply after 5pm, would that put your email and application at the bottom of the barrel in the morning? Or do they check their emails starting with the oldest in the morning (so yours would be at the top) then go through to the present ones?

I never know the best time. I'd say 6-8pm isn't bad and would be a good thing because it shows you were on it. But I don't know.
