Tough call. But if it was about a combination of Creatively Thrifty, Courageously naughty and Stunningly impactful it would be this ad belowBaby models for advertisements. Trikaya Grey under Ravi Gupta was - Short Lived, But Memorable!

What are some examples of failed advertisement campaigns?

Coke Disaster of 2017 Superbowl season(Moral : Play your audience. Don’t do something just because celebrities are doing it)Coca-Cola (soft drink) started the ‘America is beautiful’ campaign during the superbowl to promote a feeling of one-ness."It's Beautiful" sees a cast of diverse people singing "America The Beautiful," first in English, but also languages like Hindi, Arabic, and Tagalog. The ad is designed to portray the multi-cultural make-up of the US population. The ad, created by Wieden + Kennedy, took on a certain importance in 2017, given the current political climate following the election of Donald TrumpNice idea isn’t it? Promote diversity and have a go at the President whom many people speak up against. WRONG. It blew up in their face!"One simply does NOT sing America the Beautiful in ANY language but English! Get on board or OUT!" - Facebook post (I’m not kidding)#BoycottCoke hashtag became trending right away. It is an irony that they tried this in 2014 as well and they had such bad reaction.—————-The sales of Coke was not affected too much but it was a PR nightmare for all those involved—————-Whether or not the people opposed diversity is a different thing but they managed to offend a huge chunk of people. Don’t believe me?Exhibit AExhibit BThen things went south to a whole different level and posts started going the racist and other bad kind of waysNow all these images are genuine and not fakes. How can I critically analyse the Fair and Lovely ad?

My sister with a wheatish complexion used it. Guess where’s she now?So the story goes like this. I have a fair skin tone and my elder sister has a wheatish complexion(she is far prettier than me though. Yes I am a bit jealous of that). Anyway, sticking to the point here. Well, during our school days, there weren’t much cosmetic products in the market or let’s just say we 90’s kids werent as aware and knowledgeable about the same. So my sister and I used to put up Fair & Lovely neatly and diligently on our faces before leaving for school(Come on! We all wanted to look pretty back then. Externally ofcourse). After a point of time we both realised or maybe heard about the ill-effects of such creams(like they use bleaching substances etc) and stopped using them.Bored ? Don’t get the relevance of my answer here? Well. Read on.From here on let me focus on what drastic changes and appalling things happened with my sister years after she stopped using that cream. As these ads claim that how your life is turned upset down by applying these creams, well my sister’s did too but I guess mainly because she stopped using them. LOL.Jokes apart. She scored 90%+ both in her high school and Inter(10th & 12th. Supposedly it’s a big deal *rolling my eyes*)Worked in a well known MNC for 2 years.Gave GRE exam and went on to study in a decent university in USA.Works(currently) with Johson & Johnson now.Oh! And well, aces all her interviews like a pro.As of me ? I am still a CA student, struggling to clear my finals.MORAL OF THE STORY: If the colour of your skin determined your success rate, our places would have been swapped. Unfortunately my fair skin isn’t helping me with my Final exams Oh wait ! Maybe it’s the effect of putting F&L in childhood, that might be helping my sister now. Who knows! On a serious note, it is about time that India stopped the maddening obsession with fair skin tone.Pretty long answer there. Thanks for reading though.

Who owns the copyright of old TV commercials and ads?

The copyright term for most things shown on TV is 95 years from the "date of publication". (http://copyright.cornell.edu/res...) This is longer than TV has existed, thus all commercials are still under copyright; none have lapsed yet.The copyright holder is almost certainly the company whose product is advertised. You would probably have to ask the company for permission to include them, unless you feel that your commentary in the documentary allows inclusion under fair use (a lawyer could make this determination for you). In the case of companies that are gone, those commercials would now be orphan works. With no one to ask permission from, they are essentially impossible to display without infringing a copyright.
