Which Is The Best Name To Call My First Born Daughter

Do you no any women who name there daughters after themselves?

My mother gave me her first name for my middle name.
I also had my great grandmothers middle name as a first name, she died the day before I was born.

My mother has passed away, so I wanted to continue the tradition she started and did the same for my daughter, she also has my first name as her middle. And my mother[her grandmothers] middle name for a first name. Well its a variation, My mothers middle name was Ann so her name is Annabelle.

This only goes for first daughter.

It worked out like this..

Rita Elizabeth [Great Grandma]
Jane Ann [Mother]
Elizabeth Jane [me]
Annabelle Elizabeth [my daughter]

What name should I give my first born child?

Think of a name that is intelligent, dignified, and is respectable in older yrs.One good source of names is on TV show credit lists that are run after the show.Movies too.(But I am not a movie person.)Do a lot of thinking on that.Do not chose a name is weird, stupid, mindless, way out in left field, or stand out too much, too unique, or ridiculous, or something that the kids in school will pervert and laugh at it, or find something that rhymes with it. Make it a name that the child will be satisfied or proud of in adult yrs, or not self conscious of.Or when every time, some one asks their name, and they say it, it draws attention and begs questions, what the mother was thinking?Or so strange, that when they say it, they are asked to repeat it.Or more than three syllables. Two syllables is best.If in doubt, run the names you chose, by someone you respect or recognize as at least half intelligent that you know, someone that you know that has a reputation for making good decisions, someone that has at least half a brain.

Help please what should my son call my stepdad?

I am due with my first baby in september. I'm having a little family dilemma. I have my mom & stepdad & dad & stepmom. obviously my mom will be grandma & dad will be grandpa, my stepmom won't be anything since we don't get a long. my mom wants my stepdad to be grandpa, but I don't because I just really don't like him & he'll never be his grandpa in my eyes. & I don't want my son to be confused, but if my son doesn't call him grandpa it will cause a lot of arguments in the family. I don't want him calling him grandpa, but I don't want him calling him by his first name either since that's disrespectful. What should I do?

What do you call your baby? (Nicknames)?

What are some of weirdest, most regrettable names you’ve ever seen someone name their kid?

I swear I’m not making this up. When I as a nurse midwife in the US Air Force, I took care of a patient whose name was Justa Duck. She was the last of seven sisters born to a couple named Smith. They had used all the good girl names already. When the clerk asked her mother what name to put on the birth certificate, she said, “My husband and I aren’t sure. For now she’s just a Smith.” The clerk listed the name as “Justa Smith” on the official birth certificate. Her parents had a good laugh when they went to the Vital Records Office to obtain a certified copy of the birth certificate. They intended to change it at some point, but never got around to it, so the name stuck. Later Justa Smith married Air Force Technical Sergeant Duck, and her name became Justa Duck. She told me that her odd name earned a brief appearance on the David Letterman show for one of his “Stupid People Tricks” segments.

Would Jericho be a good name for a boy?

I think Jericho's a good name.

The obvious shortened nickname version would be Jerry. However, that rhymes with "fairy", thus leaving potential for schoolyard taunting.

So if you do name your kid Jericho, I would push for "Rico" as the dimunitive if people insist on using one.

Would you name your child Khaleesi?

Seriously?! Good God, no! Sure, it might be cute on a toddler, but what if your daughter grows up to be a neurosurgeon or a judge? Giving your daughter a name that is not even a word, never mind a real name, puts her in a position to not be taken seriously. I guess you could give her a normal name, and call her whatever you want. I love Daenerys, but I had a daughter ( born with a head full of platinum hair even) after reading ASoIaF and it never would have occured to me!
