What laptop brand is better? Acer or Hp?
My mom is going to get me a computer from either qvc or hsn and I don't know what laptop I want. The Hp touch laptop amda 10 8gb ram one looks really appealing but I've heard Hp's break down after a year. Acer also looks like a nice laptop maker. I've read pretty good reviews on their laptops. Please help me out! I really need to know! Thank you!

Overall which is a better laptop; mac or dell?
Mac, definately. I believe that the Sims are compatible with in OSX, since Apple has Sims 2 listed as one of the recommended games for a couple of its lower-end computers, and even if they aren't you can always run VMWare Fusion to play them. I prefer to use my iBook G4 (5 years old and running great), with 256 MB RAM and a 1.2 GHz processor than my 2 MB RAM 2.1GHz desktop just because of the operating system. There are some amazing freeware programs for OSX as well, such as Quicksilver (keyboard shortcut to your whole computer), and TextWrangler (great web-development text editor). I've only had my iBook for 3 months, compared to my 10 years on Windows and I've already decided that my next computer is going to be a Mac.

Windows is notorious for being vulnerable to viruses, spyware, adware, trojan horses, hacking, and even registry problems from within the OS itself. Essentially, if you aren't a computer guru with enough knowhow to keep on top of all of Windows' problems, there's no reason you should have to subject yourself to it. Mac OS X, as ridiculous as this may sound, has none of these problems. On the merits of OS X alone (Linux is also more secure than Windows — heck, just about everything is — but it often requires even more technical expertise), I'd recommend that you get a Mac. I agree that Mac software isn't nearly as prevalent in brick-and-mortar computer stores as Windows software, but that's where the Internet shines as an extremely handy resource. :) There's a bit of a learning curve involved in switching from Windows to Mac, but it's well worth it and there are resources to help you.

Which laptop is better, alienware sentia 244 or alienware sentia 3450?
i would say the 3450 one if u want something good and will last longer and if u just want something like ok then get the other one the 3450 costs more and it just tells me that it is more worth it
