Who is next best wicketkeeper in India after Dhoni, post his retirement?
I believe replacing MS Dhoni in Indian cricket team is indeed a herculean task, even more so than Sachin Tendulkar (Virat Kohli is an able successor). Dhoni’s unorthodox yet effective technique has brought results for India. He has super-quick reflexes & has cheeky ways of saving runs & effecting run-outs. He is one of the best finishers in limited-overs cricket & his record with the bat & as captain is extraordinary – being the most successful Indian captain.Dhoni isn’t a traditional keeper who uses conventional techniques, but still is arguably one of the greatest wicket-keepers the game has seen.But Dhoni is much more than just a wicket-keeper, a pugnacious batsman, tactful finisher & astute captain too.One can find a better keeper than him (W Saha) but someone with the all-round talent is quite difficult.Since he has already retired from Test cricket, Wriddiman Saha has done a decent job with the bat & gloves.The present chief selector MSK Prasad is an wicket-keeper himself , so he is expected to understand the role & challenges of the task.For somebody like Dhoni who averages over 50 in ODI’s & has strike rate close to 90 finding a replacement is indeed difficult.But my choice would be Rishabh Pant as he has shown lot of promise in IPL & domestic cricket. As back-up options for these two K L Rahul & Sanju Samson could be groomed for future, given their talent with the bat & proclivity behind the stumps. At this stage there is no point in including earlier discards like Parthiv Patel or Dinesh Karthik in one off series.
What is your view on selecting DK as the alternative keeper-batsman for India; keeping WC 2019 in mind?
Quality decision!!Not to forgot that DK has lived under the shadow of MSD for most of his playing career so far, but in spite of that he has managed to carve an identity of himself.. he is technically more Sound than buddy wkt keepers like shreyas iyer or rishabh pant..and keeping in mind the Prestigious world cup, u definitely need someone who has got experience under his belt( since he is playing from ganguly’s era ) .So yes Kartik definitely fits in that role of secondary wkt keeper batsman after MSD..

What's the best way to make my electric guitar sound like an acoustic guitar?
If I want a different sound, I go looking for a guitar that has the sound I want. But that’s just me, and I’m not known for doing what other people think is obvious…… which brings me to one of my ‘keeper’ guitars, the Washburn SBT-21. Loosely based on a Fender Telecaster, but with none of the usual pickups, it has a Fisher piezo transducer under the bridge saddle.And the sound is amazing! Without feedback worries at volume levels that cause the speakers to do your breathing for you.Rather than looking for an old SBT-21 and then stuffing your favourite pickups into it to regain the electric sounds you’re used to, I recommend researching some piezo pickups that can be installed under your existing bridge saddle(s) or a piezo bridge that is easily substituted for the one you have now.There’s always the modelling approach, represented by the Variax, but I find that kind of stuff to be seriously unsatisfying. I’m an Olde-Skhool dinosaur who still thinks a gig should start off with dragging heavy tube gear into the venue that leaves my arms shaking from the effort. Makes playing barre chords a bitch, but the fret-hand tremolo is sooo natural. YMMV.As I always say: “Ears and mind open - Eyes closed.” And smile!Enjoy your Tonequest!
You’re the primary zoo keeper for the only white rhino left in the world. A child falls into its enclosure & the rhino charges. If tranquilizer is not an option, what do you do?
You kill the rhino to save the child.Here's my logic :The child could grow up and discover the cure for cancer. Invent clean fusion energy. Find the way to reverse global warming, et al. Of course equally the child could grow up to be the next Hitler or Pol Pot. Who knows ? My point is by allowing the rhino to kill the child and letting it live destroys all and any possibilities. Not to mention allows the death of a child and the pain and anguish of that child's nearest and dearest.The rhino, it being the last rhino left actually makes this descision easier not harder. The species for all intents and purposes with one left is extinct already.Save the kid - and hope they are exceptionally gifted and are not a monster !Seriously, I can't see how not killing the rhino is morally correct under any circumstances, but that's just me.
Victor Valdes: Underrated or Overrated?
Underrated for Barca..... he would probably do much worse in other teams but other GKs would do much worse at Barca too, Barca has special players and the keeper mus be special too.... Victor is Barca's best option, Casillas is 3 times better keeper than Valdes but he would do worse for Barca than Valdes. Valdes is not among the best in the world but is is THE BEST keeper in the world FOR Barca.
