What is the best way to build your own website?

I would like to give an answer form a different perspective: from a web design and coding noob!I had my wedding planning business for quite a while but I (taught) never had a need for promoting my work through a website. Eventually, when all parts of business went completely online I wanted to build my own site…but how?1. First thing first: Domain name.In my case, I just used my company’s name, but you need to check if the name you wish is already used by someone else. Anyway, after you choose your perfect name you should register it. Get informed about the benefits that some providers offer and chose the best solution for you.2. Website builder: Time (and money) saver.Like I mentioned, I didn’t have a clue about coding and web design, so a drag&drop website builder was my only option. Again, get informed about different benefits and options website builders have and chose the one most suitable for your needs. My choice was Ucraft, since it is simple, cheap and has a free logo maker included (which I needed).3. It’s crafting time: Create your website!Now comes the fun part: template choosing, icons organizing, content adding etc. Be creative as you can, but keep in mind that the whole website look and organization must be user friendly…and mobile friendly, as well.4.Now comes the promotion: SEO, social media and stuff.Well, I was already active on social media so this wasn’t so difficult for me, basically I just “announced” that I launched a website. If you are starting from the beginning, don’t worry, just read a bit about the social media hacks and you’ll have followers in no time! Don’t forget to use Instagram, it is getting more and more popular!As for the SEO, again, find tips&tricks on the internet, forums and blogs and just be patient-results will come!
