Buttt idk I kinda like this pic. Is this a good pic to put on there or should I put another one? Be honest but not disrespectful please.

I'm too self conscious to make my Facebook profile picture a picture of me. Help?

Ever since I was little, I've always found myself unattractive. I hated getting my photo taken and I despise it when my friends take photos of me without my permission.

Recently I got a Facebook and my profile picture is a photo of an island. I'm friend requesting many people I know but some are ignoring my requests because they see that my profile picture is a photo of an island - not me. Should I make my Facebook profile picture a photo of myself? I feel ugly and I don't want people to think badly of me because of my outward appearance.

Someone is using my profile pictures on Facebook?

Found out because my friends sent me a message that some random guy is using my picture on Facebook and I do have a Facebook account that I use to get connected with my friends I don't normally add random people on the web this user is using picture of me two years back.

Does anyone know if Facebook can terminate all my older picture being use on someone else profile account? My account is set to private now friends to friends can only see what I post on my wall and what I upload pictures or videos of me and someone else. Facebook is a great way for me to get re-connect with my old friends and make some new friends from my other friends on Facebook or set a time to hang out.

How do people lock their profile picture on Facebook so no one can like or comment, just view?

Click on your profile picture. It will open in a picture viewer of facebook. On the right side below your name, near the date, there will be a symbol(by default the globe symbol). Click on this globe symbol, a dropdown of  "Who should see this ?" will appear. From this drop-down click on "Only me". The globe symbol should now be changed to the closed lock symbol. Done, your profile picture is now locked.

How can I reuse an older profile picture on facebook without creating a new picture in the profile pic album?

The real answer is this!!

Step 1. Log in. On the main page, look to the left under your profile picture. You should see various things (Favorites, Groups, Pages). Scroll down to Apps. Under Apps, you should see Photos listed. If you don’t, hover over the word Apps and you’ll see “more” just to the right. Click on it. This will bring up your App page. Scroll until you find Photos listed and click on it.

Step 2. You’ll go to a new page where all kinds of crazy-*** picture albums that belong to your friends will pull up. Ignore those. Look again to the left. Under Apps>Photos, click on “My Uploads”

Step 3. Under your Profile picture album, you will now have an “Edit Album” option. Click it.

Step 4. Directly under each picture is a radio button you can click marked “This is your Profile photo.” Just click it under the one you want, Hit Save at the bottom of the page and your profile picture is set. Simple! :/

Someone is using a photo of me as their Facebook profile picture without my permission, what should I do?

If it is a picture that was originally yours, you can report this to Facebook as a copyright violation. If you did not take the picture, this may not be successful.Otherwise you are probably stuck with “harassment” or “spam”/“fake profile”.Do you know this person? If so, just tell them you don't like it. People can't read minds, and they may have thought it’s okay. Especially if it’s a picture of the both of you.

People are using my picture as their profile picture on Facebook. Is it okay to let them use my picture?

From a legal standpoint, you own the copyright on anything you create from the moment you create it, regardless of if it's registered with the government or not.  This means that the image can only be used is ways that you approve. You certainly have every right to tell them they need to stop if it bothers you.  Unfortunately, the internet being what it is, it can be hard to enforce these rules.  Are the people using your image crediting you?  Would you feel better about it if they properly credited you?  Sometimes it's easier to get people to comply with simply crediting you instead of taking it down.I think that most people, if you ask them in a polite but firm way will remove your image and you have every right to be upset about it being used without your permission.  On the other hand, having people using your image must mean they really like it, which can be potential exposure for you.  I doubt that you'd ever, say, be offered a million dollar commission from someone seeing your image on someone's Facebook profile, but if you're anxious to get your work out there, this is one way.  If you wanted to allow them to use it, I would just require them to credit you and provide a link to your site.Again, anything you create can only be used with your permission and it's completely understandable why you'd be upset about it being used in ways you hadn't intended!  The internet is a crazy beast though and you might have trouble tracking down every unauthorized use of it and making everyone comply.  I hope you're able to get it all under control, however you decide you want to handle it!

How often should you change your Facebook profile picture?

There is no outline or rule of how many times you should update your profile picture. I think it's important to balance pride with justice. Spamming friends with profile picture updates, is not a good idea. Do it when you have something to convey and when people are online. It might be on a weekend or towards the middle of the week. Is it bad to wear sunglasses in your Facebook profile picture?

Hey guys,
I was just wondering if it looks bad to wear sunglasses in your profile picture. I've noticed a lot of people don't use sunglasses in their pro pic, so I was wondering if it is "socially acceptable" to use a picture of myself near the beach with sunglasses on. I googled the topic, and apparently it makes it look like you have something to hide, but it's not like I was wearing sunglasses indoors or at night, so I wonder if that makes it okay.
A quick side note, I'm Asian, so I tend to feel self-conscious about my eyes.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions!
