Which Photo Do I Look Best In

Why do I look so ugly in Photos? Is it me?

Well i used to wonder the same before i started studying photography, i can tell you this could be for 2 main reasons..

1. you are taking the pictures from the wrong angle, example: if you take a picture of your face from a down angle, you are going to look with a double chin, if you take it from upper angle you are going to look skinnier.
you also should take a picture of you in every single profile until you find the best for you.

2. For self pictures put your camera as far as possible from your face and if you wanna take a closeup ALWAYS use your ZOOM, but NEVER put your camera too close because that just gonna make your face look weird. example: a bigger nose, a bigger forehead, ugly lips.

I hope this helped you!!

(English is not my first language so sorry if a messed up!)

Which photo do i look better in? (PICS)?

I think the second one........................!!

Why do some people look much better in person than in photos?

Photos can never interpret a person's real life. It's not only the face that matters. Behaviors, attitude, style, smile plays a major part too. When you will see a person in real life, you will not only notice his/her face. You will see him/her smiling and the real life smile express more than just a photo. You will notice the behaviors and how he/she laughs, how he/she cares. You had also noticed some beautiful landscapes captured by the camera. You will not get the perfect information about that landscape (place) and how it feels looking at it in real life. You have to be there at the place to feel it.Some things cannot be predicted with the imagination. But there are things, well, you have to see and feel.

Why do I look better in real life and in the mirror rather than in photos like I look completely diffrent?

Your timing is interesting, as I recently read something about this. I don’t remember the term used, but basically it boils down to this - what you see in the mirror is, of course, a mirror image of what you really look like, and that’s what you’re used to seeing. When you see a photo of yourself, you’re seeing yourself (that’s clumsy writing, isn’t it?) from someone else’s perspective, not your own. So it’s not really that you look better in the mirror, it’s just that you’re not used to other people’s viewpoints.
