Which Ps4 Games Are Worth Getting This Year

Is titanfall worth getting for the xbox 360?

Visually there will be a significant differences, but not to the extent that it will hampers the core gameplay.

Whether you buy it on the 360 or not is up to what you look for in games. If you play games because you play them for the fun of it and the experience, then go for the 360 version, but if you play games to look at pretty pictures then upgrade to the X-1 or PC versions.

Side Note:
It's using a heavily modified version of the Source Engine. Yes the original Source engine is over 10 years old, but so what. Why does every game have to have a new engine. If it works then what does it matter, also using an older gaming engine means they are more familiar with it and likely to have less bugs at launch *cough* BF3 *cough*

Is ps4 still worth getting?

Short answer: YES. A true PS5 is still 3-4 years away.

However, now you have to ask "Should I buy a PS4 now, or wait for Neo?"

Ok, what's Neo? So, rumors surfaced a few months ago about "The PS4 Neo", which you could call "The PS4.5".

Neo is a PS4 with slightly more powerful hardware which will give it some new features such as the ability to play games and movie in native 4k resolutions (not just upscaling.)

Neo is NOT a replacement for the PS4.

The regular PS4 will continue to be on shelves right next to Neo.

All PS4 games, both present and future - including VR - will run on both the PS4 and Neo.

Developers will have the option of adding special Neo-only features (such as 4k) to games.

Unfortunately, Sony did not give a release date of Neo, nor an expected price. Given how little Sony intentionally spoke about Neo at E3, which was earlier this week, it seems to me that Neo is headed for release sometime in 2017.

This means you have a somewhat difficult decision to make.
1. The safest choice would be to wait until Sony makes more formal announcements about Neo (capabilities, games, price, availability) so you can make an informed decision. However that may not happen for another year(!)

2. If you can't wait that long then you might as well buy a PS4 _now_. Just know that when Neo DOES come out, and you want one, you're looking at buying a whole 2nd console.

Is it worth getting a PS4 if I'm a girl?

If you’re a girl? This shouldn’t matter in your decision making. What matters is what you want. There is absolutely nothing wrong with girl gamers. At the moment, I would say the non-pro model of the PS4 would be worth getting in general (for all people) ifYou don’t care about a new console generation coming in 1–3 yearsYou don’t want to mess with PC hardware or build your own, etc.You don’t care too much about graphics (if so you should get a PS4 pro/PC)More of a casual gamerIf you are a really casual gamer or you don’t care about the latest titles, then you should go for a PS3/XB360 instead. They have plenty of cheap titles and classics, and they’re not bad.If you want the best graphics, best hardware, want customizability and/or don’t want to worry about new console generations coming to replace the current ones, then you should buy/build a PC. They give you much more options, and they don’t get “replaced” with new generations every 6 years or so.However, if you want good graphics but would like a console (consoles are much more “easy” to game with since it’s ready to go, and you don’t have to tweak with any settings or such), then you should get a PS4 Pro. It definitely has better graphics, and I’m sure you would like it.Good luck!

Is it worth getting a PS4 just to play the exclusives? I’m not that rich, nor have a job but I have the money to buy it.

That’s what you’re supposed to do. You need to buy consoles because it has exclusive games that you want. It wouldn’t be worth it if you bought it for anything else. Library of games and exclusives are the reasons why you buy consoles. For example, there’s literally no reason to buy Xbox One other than the library of games. They have little to no first party games other than the usual Halo, the usual Gears of War, the usual Forza, etc. They also have Rare, makers of Killer Instinct, however… That’s not enough. Sony puts out at least 1 or 2 first party games a year. We had at least 2 this year. God of War, Spiderman, Detroit: Become Human, and more. In 2017 we had GT Sport, Horizon Zero Dawn, Uncharted: Lost Legacy, and more. Third party support is strong, and they actually got exclusives out of those third party partnerships: Nier Automata, Nioh, Yakuza (Zero, Kiwani, etc), Street Fighter V, and more.

Is it still worth buying a PS4, or should I wait for the PS5?

Buy a PS4. Although the PS5 may come out at the end of 2020, the first version of anything always needs improvement. The PS4 Pro was originally released with a CUH-70xx model number. Later, Sony tweaked things under the hood and started shipping the CUH-71xx model of the Pro. Today, the RDRII bundle ships with a CUH-72xx Pro.If the PS5 pumps 4K at 60FPS, the first model may generate so much heat that the fans cause the console to levitate off the shelf unless you stick a potted plant on it. After a few months, Sony may figure out how to reduce the power consumption or improve the cooling and start shipping a model that doesn't need a potted plant. It would be better to wait for that PS5 model so you can focus on gameplay without having to worry about watering a plant.More importantly, two years is an eternity that you cannot allow to go to waste waiting for a PS5. In that time, you could sink 1000 hours into Horizon Zero Dawn, start a Twitch stream called "Make Some Shards", and become famous. Or, on a glum note, what if you catch an incurable disease before the PS5 comes out? Do you want to be thinking with your last breath, "I should have bought a PS4."? Of course not. That would suck.Life is short. Buy a PS4.

Worth buying new ps4?

thinking about getting a new ps4 but i know the new consoles are going to come out within a year or 2. i had a ps4 not sure which version i assume the oldest version then sold it because i wasn't playing it and it was collecting dust, bought a xbox one and same faith happened sadly tried to play it and it's broken even though it has just been sitting around for a year, probably cpu overheating from dust so it can easily be fixed.

anyways i am bored out of my mind and set on a ps4 due to exclusives that are currently out and was wondering if it is worth buying right now?

i do have a gaming pc i built that can run the major games with intense graphics if need be but right now there are no PC games im highly interested in playing i just quit WoW after 7 years.

if so could you name some really good games that do not require PSN. don't think i have enough money to buy the console and PSN and a game right not, no fighting games like tekken not really into those.

Should I buy a 2.5-year-old PS4 500GB + 11 games for $290 dollars?

The cable isn’t worth it. I wouldn’t exactly say that’s a great deal in my opinion because having an Xbone with 1 tb I can say that I sufficiently fill a lot of that with games. Out of all of the games you have there I’d personally only take six or so.Assuming that you like all of these games and they are on disc and the discs are in great condition then it’s still not that great of a deal. If those are older controllers they are likely to suffer from drift by this point (drift being where you don’t touch the controller yet the game receives some type of input from the sticks). I’ve had that problem with both Xb and PS.The thing that you need to be worried about though is the shape that the console is in. If the owner treated it poorly then you won’t have a system for very long and you will need to go buy a new one. If I’m not mistaken the games that come with it are worth around $190 if they are NIB (new in box) or like new. That leaves you $100 for the console and the extra controller. I’d be very leery about that console and make sure that you aren’t buying something that will explode or die when you start using it.Good deal? Possibly.Bad deal? Likely.

Is the PS4 really worth it?

I have a nice gaming rig and a PS4 as well. My outtake is that they both have advantages and personal preference has its role as well. The PS4 pros and consCons: Limited upgrade potential: you can upgrade the hard drive and that's about it.New games generally cost more. You will not be playing games in 4K.You are tethered to Sony and must pay for PS plus if you want to play online or even use some features of games you have already paid for.Pros:Ease of use: hit 1 button and you are playing your game. No game compatibility issues: on the PC sometimes you must find work arounds to get a game to run. Because there are so many different system configurations you may have to wait for a patch or a driver update to play a game you just bought on a PC. You may have to play around in the settings on a PC game to get it to run at all. Plenty of people to play online with at almost any given time: I work swing shift so I find myself playing late or very early. PS network is huge there are people to play with all the time.Social atmosphere is fantastic: you can watch and join games that are being played on twitchtv with 1 click of a button. You can share some of your games with your friends online. Great deals on games that are not brand new: if you don't have to have a game at launch you can normally get it a few months later for a whole lot less.PS plus discounts and freebies: Because you more or less have to have it anyway there are some great benefits to being a PS plus member. You get 2 free games every month and sometimes they are really good games. You get a lot of discounts and dlc for games. You get discounts on movies and TV shows. Game streaming service: You can pay a monthly fee and play many older PS games streamed right to your PS4.Video Streaming: Netflix, YouTube, Amazon, vudu, and many more channels streamed directly to your PS4.Get New Day 1 Games Without Leaving Your Home: You can download all the new games directly to your PS4 without wasting gas or fighting crowds.Surf the web: hook up a keyboard to easily surf the web.PS Vita complements PS4: You can use a Vita as a controller, or you can outright play your game on it, some games will give you additional functionality with the Vita.PS Plus is linked to all of your devices: You only need 1 PS Plus account to receive the benefits on all of your Sony systems and handhelds. You get free games for PS3, PS Vita, and PS4 if you happen to have all 3

Is it too late to buy a PS4 when the PS5 is coming out in 2 years time?

Are there games that you want for the PS4 now?If there are and they justify the amount of money that you will spend on the PS4, go for it.Forget that PS5 will be released in X years, there is no proof of that. It can be released this year or in 4 years. Also, its not like the PS4 will lose the support from one day to another.Probably you will be able to stick with the ps4 for the first years of the ps5 playing most of the games released on the PS5.Not only that, it will allow you to “wait” for the PS5 to drop the price while you enjoy the same games, but downgraded (I actually dont mind, as I still play PS1 games from time to time)
