Which Should I Join Navy Or Army

Should i join the army or navy?

Hmmm. Since you never mentioned the Marines and you did mention the Navy I can tell what you don't want to do! Go to War! So what is it that you do want to do? If you aren't in it for war or adventure, what is it that you want? Find this out before you proceed. The Navy is way better for technical jobs and foriegn travel. The Army will guarantee you your job and duty-station.

That being said I have to say--if you are worried about going to Iraq then just don't join. If going to war is the least bit unsettling to you then stay home. We don't need your kind nor do we want it. The military is a job centered around warfare. I mean, I can understand about the minimum enlistment thing-- nobody likes long contracts. The minimum enlistment is always 2 years, but you will need to enlist for four if want any say in where you go or to be eligible for any bonuses.
The military actually has a deal with Rosetta Stone that soldiers can access for free on the Army Knowledge Online web site. I've heard about it but I haven't checked it out--it sounds cool, though. Otherwise the Army won't send you to language school unless you are a linguist or do some Special-Ops type job. Sometimes chances roll around, bu they are rare.
As for hand-to-hand, the Army focuses on Jiu-jitsu. Only combat-arms jobs ever really spend any time on it, though. It is also really basic (what they teach) however MMA is huge in the Army so you can always find guys that train constantly and go to civilian schools and all. But really--does any of this matter? I mean this is all COMBAT focused training. Not martial-arts. Its fighting. Which implies that you would want to fight. Which means...You shouldn't join the Navy! Thats right--go Army and go Infantry!

Should I join the navy or army?

I am already 90% done with getting recruited to the army I just haven't sworn in yet. I feel like my recruiter has done so much for me at this point I feel obligated to join the army.

I think I notice that more navy people are overall happier than army people. I mostly want to travel and protect people and do good. I also want to train in boxing and other martial arts while I'm in. I'm 26 now and feel that I haven't traveled or become the man i've wanted to be.

I'd rather have air conditioning while I'm deployed so the navy seems good while I'm in the middle east or something. But I also want my privacy at times and I think the army gives me more of that. I would like to travel all over Europe mostly.

I want to be happy and have some stability in my life for once. I don't have much money to travel on my own and i haven't felt like I was going anywhere with the jobs I've done in the past. I tried college but hopefully I can finish while I'm in.

So is the navy or army right for me?

What should i join the Army or Navy?

I was Army, my oldest brother was Army and my little brother is Navy. If you like pull ups and swim tests join the navy, if you want to run, a lot and rank up faster and easier join the army. Both tranings are easy, but ARmy basic traning teaches you a lot about military customs and courtesy, marksmanship, first aid, drill and ceremony, searching for mines etc. Both will get you in great physical shape. If you're confused about which one, think about what you want most out of your military experiance. My oldest brother was stationed in Germany, Italy, Iraq, Afghanistan, and the States, I was in South Korea, and my little brother has been on remote island, and the middle east. No matter what you'll travel.

Should I join the Air Force, Army, or Navy?

It all depends on what you want. I was in the Navy for a while and was fortunate enough to work with members of all branches on a regular basis, depolyment-wise. If you want the true grunt lifestyle, complete with useless nonsense and wastes of time, Marines might be what you want. If you like equal amounts of wasted time, but a slightly larger emphasis on your chosen job, the Navy would be good. Though the Navy has a bad habit of not training many of their people as well as they should. I never met anyone in the Army that was truly happy. In fact, when I was in Baghdad, there was an entire Army light vehicle mechanic battalion that was turned into ECP and tower babysitters. They didnt sign up for that, certainly. Now the Air Force is what I would reccomend, if you just have to join up. I found myself among many members of the Air Force from training all the way through my five year contract. They all seemed to have the best attitudes and living accommodations, seriously. Not once have I ever heard an Airman say they weren't doing what they signed up for. On the other hand you could just stay a civilian. My time personally was a complete waste. My “experience” didnt count for jack here in the real world. Once I got out it was back to square one all over again. Had I known that before enlisting, I either would have made it a career, or never enlisted at all. I hope this helps.

Should I join the Army, Navy or Air Force?

Joining any one of the three is a matter of pride and honour.ARMY: Face it, an Army is a very important branch of the Armed Forces in any country. It does a really important task; either seizing control of land or defending the lands. If your country is not a very major economy but it is decent enough, then it is OK not to have a Navy or an Air Force, but an Army becomes a must. Because in such countries, no one would bother with aerial attacks. Army has to undertake missions in jungle and mountain warfare. And major countries must definitely maintain a very strong Army. Borders are very crucial, because most of attacks occur only through ground, as ground attacks are cheaper and easier to execute.NAVY: A Navy is really crucial if your country has a long coastline. Most of the smuggling routes are through seas and oceans. So the Navy can stop those. Moreover, any major country must have a strong Navy. It is because invaders from a very far away land will come through sea route only. Before they reach land and wreak destruction, they must be finished off at sea itself. It is also helpful to have a strong. Navy when during war, your aircrafts need to reach far-off foreign lands. It is the aircraft carriers in the Navy that help in that transportation, to save the fuel of those fighter jets.AIR FORCE: An Air Force is also a must for very major countries, in addition to a Navy. Because an aerial attack is the worst one can ever face. An Air Force is the most powerful branch of the Armed Forces in any powerful country. It can wreak much more destruction than the Army or Navy. Maintaining a strong Air Force also becomes a necessity. Plus, it can also provide a lot of support to the Army, when the Army Aviation Corps do not have enough aircrafts. Your enemy country can go to the extent of full-fledged aerial attacks if your country is a major economy. That is why air bases are in major cities. Oh and an Air Force is also very helpful in conducting rescue operations where an Army alone won't be enough.I hope I have given you enough information about all the three services. You decide what to join.

Should I join the Army or Navy for active duty?

I talked to recruiters from both the Army and the Navy today. Originally I went in completely set on joining the Army. I wasn't very interested in joining the Navy because I'm not much of a fan of being out on the open ocean for extended periods of time.

I'm interested in linguistics jobs and any type of foreign affairs or culture job.

Now the Navy recruiters told me there are not only plenty of linguistic jobs, but their branch does the most traveling. They are also looking for a lot of strong woman in leadership roles specifically and apparently out of the other branches their enlisted people are the smartest. And also it's not likely I'll actually end up on a ship.

Now the Navy recruiters talked to me for close to three hours. I went over to go talk to the Army and as silly as it may sound I got completely different vibes from their office. I was basically just shown the money I would be making from joining and the college credits I can earn. Of course that's great, but it's not just the money but experience as well. Also, they seemed to be trying to push the reserves on me which I much rather be in active duty.

So now I'm at a crossroads. Honestly I really don't see much of a difference between the two since they both have the job that I'm interested in. But is there anything specifically I should know that the recruiters conveniently left out?

Should I join the US Navy or the Marines?

My father was a retired Navy Officer, when one day shortly before graduating from HS I came home and told my father that I was joining the Army, He threw a fit. I asked him just what the hell he expected of me. He told me that if I was going to join the Military I should join the only Military organization left in the United States. Thinking he was talking about the Navy I asked sarcastically" and which one might that be?". The Marines. My father took me to the recruiting station and introduced me to the Recruiter, the Recruiter explained that He didn't give a shit what I did, that the Marines did not want to join me. My father was sitting behind me and eating this shit up. He spoke up after a while and said to the the Recruiter" Sgt Brown there is one thing about Bill that I have to point out to you, When I come home from work I never have a problem finding him, I just have to follow the trail of clothes through the House and they lead me straight to him. Is this going to be a problem. Sgt Brown never cracked a smile, he replied " Mr. Cooper, I promise you Sir, if We cannot break Bill of that habit we will assign a Sergeant to follow him around and pick up his clothes for him.To the point, If you want to be a Marine, if that is ALL that you want, is to be a Marine, then join the Marines. If you want to be something else, if you want to be a Doctor or Lawyer or a auto mechanic. Then Join the Navy.
