Who has the greatest upside in the 2018 NBA draft?
In my opinion Doncic has both the highest floor and highest ceiling in this draft. At worst he is going to be a secondary creator that can knock down shots and at his best scouts have compared him to a 6’8” Steve Nash.Nash is already a 2 time MVP and Hall of Fame point guard. Now imagine him at 6’8” playing in the modern NBA’s up tempo style and that is what you might get in Doncic. Sounds like an all time great player to me.
Are the Pittsburgh Pirates for real this year?
Absolutely. The Pittsburgh Pirates are a solid baseball team right now and have the core players to continue to be into the future. As of this writing, the Pirates are two games up on the Cardinals in the NL Central and have the third best record in baseball, despite playing in a division that is likely to produce both wild cards. By most accounts, the Pirates have a 98% chance of making the playoffs at this point. So I would say that it's tough to argue that they are not for real, given the position they have put themselves in. The reason why is somewhat simple, the Pirates have received star performances from Andrew McCutchen and Starling Marte on offense, Jeff Locke and Mark Melancon pitching, and Russell Martin on defense. They've coupled that with some great contributions from a variety of players both veterans (Burnett) and rookies (Wilson) alike. It's a complete team, built around a star in McCutchen, but they win games by having multiple players capable of contributing at any one time. Case in point, last week seldom-used utility player Josh Harrison hit a walk-off HR. They've lost some guys to injury (Rodriguez, Grilli, McDonald) but the guys who came up have filled in capably. As a result, they are in control of their own destiny which is not typical for the Pirates in their recent history. Have the Pirates outplayed their talent? Maybe a little bit. Fangraphs predicts that they will go 23-21 the rest of the way but that will likely be enough to at the very least make the playoffs. Once the playoffs begin, it's anyone's game. The Pirates will likely, even if they win the Central, be a bit overlooked especially by teams with star pitchers like the Dodgers (Kershaw) and Cardinals (Wainwright) who can take over individual games. That said, we've seen plenty of teams win by playing "team baseball", and the Pirates have enough pieces to compete with anyone. I wouldn't necessarily put my money on the Pirates winning the World Series (I think most playoff teams will have a better chance) but I do think the Pirates are a top-10 team right now -- with some upside and a window to make multiple playoff runs behind the core of Marte, McCutchen, Cole, Taillon, et al.
Should I drop Anquan Boldin for someone with higher upside?
12 team standard league, I'm leading the pack at 3-1 thanks to some nice waiver pick ups. Anquan hasn't done much this year and while he is riding my bench. I wondering if I should take a chance on some guys with higher upside. Also, wonder if I should stash another WR cause I have a lot of mediocre RBs. What qualities define a great team leader?
The best leaders are those who can lead and direct without misuse of their power. They must be able to inspire others in a direction or greater good. They must be strong enough to stand firm in decision making and leading others without an egotistical attitude. A great team leader will encourage others to brain storm and contribute to the whole. They also lead by example and intelligently. They are also good listeners. Charisma helps a team leader. Rev. TomCat
Whos better willie parker or reggie bush?
The fact that the two can be compared proves its Parker. He wasn't even drafted, let alone No. 2. You tell me who has the drive and heart to succeed. Here We Go, Steelers! Here We Go!
HELP SPILT TEA ON LAPTOP?
You've done everything you're supposed to do to avert catastrophe in this situation. The only thing you could have done better is to dismantle the laptop into component parts to let the air get to it better, but I don't blame you if you didn't feel up to doing that. The part of the laptop that holds your files (the hard disk) is actually quite small, and there are usually a number of layers of material between it and the keyboard, so the chances of your files being damaged are less than the chances of the laptop being damaged overall. Hard drives are sometimes the only working part left in laptops that are damaged by fire, crushing or other unfortunate fates. If you want the best chance of making sure no files are lost, you can remove the hard drive and connect it to another computer in order to make copies of your files. That way, even if the laptop destroys its hard drive when you turn it back on, you've still got your files stored somewhere else. If the hard drive is wet, you'll have to dry it out some more on its own before you connect it to anything. (Don't dismantle the hard drive, though, as this will let tiny dust particles get inside and corrupt it.) The hard drive is likely to be dry if you placed the laptop keyboard-side down in a box of rice to dry out. If you get your pictures back, make a habit of keeping copies on multiple different computers, memory cards and/or hard drives, and have your most important pictures professionally printed (professional prints are more likely to last longer than home prints, which can fade alarmingly fast). Although digital photo files can stay in pristine condition almost indefinitely, it is all to easy to lose them, so sometimes an album of prints is a more reliable archive.
