Who Do You Think Is The Most Influential Celebrity In History

Who was the most powerful and influential Gangster in history?

Lucky Luciano and Al Capone were infamous and very powerful, but in my opinion the most powerful and influential gangster in history was the less well known Meyer Lansky. He was so influential that he bought an election in Cuba which brought President Batista back to power to make Havana more friendly, he took over for Luciano when his presence brought too much heat onto the Havana mob. He was powerful enough to order the famous hit on Bugsy Siegal. He had powerful friends as well entertaining the likes of Frank Sinatra and President Kennedy at his clubs in Cuba. This was all brought to an end however when Castro overthrew the Batista government and the Havana mob fled to Florida. The most impressive thing however is that unlike Capone, Luciano, and Gotti is that Lansky was never convicted of anything major, and died in his home at the age of 80 rather than as a target or in prison.

Google Doodles have helped us discover many Indians, famous in their particular field, who would have otherwise slipped under our radar. It began with an idea to celebrateholidays, anniversaries, and the lives offamous artistes, pioneers and scientists who have helped shapehistory.

Are celebrities more or less influential now than in the past?

Id say, MORE influential now, but to be honest, its hard to measure that. For one, the idea of “celebrity” was almost always the same as “influential” for much of human history. The popular people were the wealthy people (the lords and ladies), the wealthy people were the influential people (they controlled the properties / people), the influential people were the popular people (they were the lords, they were the only individuals that large numbers of people generally even talked about). These days, there are many celebrities who dont have the kind of literal Influence that classic lords and ladies had. However, since modern celebrities are more of the “people’s celebrities” ie , they are not lords of another class, they are more often seen as people of the community who “just got lucky” or otherwise Earned their position. That gives modern celebrities a different, more viable appeal to the average person. This can result in celebrities earning places of power through popularity without having the credentials or necessary experience to actually do the jobs they are given. But to be honest, this isnt really very new.

Who do you think is the most influential person in Donald Trump’s current circle of family, friends, business and political associates?

Without trying to be sarcastic, the answer is that nobody influences Trump the most because nobody seems to influence him at all. By his own admission Trump decides issues relying on his “gut” and not on the advice of, or information provided by, others. It has been widely reported, even by his supporters, that Trump does not typically read reports presented to him concerning the complexities and consequences of the issues at hand and he has repeatedly remarked that he is smarter than his expert advisors whether they be in the military, intelligence community, politics or business/economics. Trump is a one man show. While his core supporters find him “refreshing,” the rest of us believe Trump is a dangerous threat to national security, domestic tranquility and international stability.

Influential people of the 1980's?

I can give you a couple people like President Reagan, Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher of Great Britain and possibly Mikhail Gorbachev of the Soviet Union. Not sure about a 4th person sorry that is all I could think of right now.

Who do you think is the most positive celebrity? Why?

Michael Jackson is the most positive celebrity because he worked his way to the the top with only his talent to sing and the determination he had to make his performances make an impact in history. He may have been accused by child molesting and so but he still has a mind set of a child with a body of a grown man. He was not able to experience a childhood like every other kid in his time and age because he was thought to only focus in his career and performances. He gave almost all of his income from performances to the victims of HIV, AIDS and etc. He made songs that had messages for the people. He did not care if his songs are nominated for an award, he only cared for the message he wanted to give to the whole world to hear and reflect. He does not care for the fall of his career but the the duty he needs to do for the entire world. His downfall was of drugs and we cannot blame him for this because he was influenced by a lot of people during his late times. He made history when he released the legendary Billi Jean and made the baston pants trending in the Philippines. He also made history when he released the song thriller because it is where most of the magic we have now in the present time have. He was a fashion icon and early during his time. He created the famous sequencing in dance. He made music videos a trend because of beat it. He is also a perfectionist that is never contended with his own performances. He never brags his own money, music and fame. He is the King of Pop, most influential artist and most probably the greatest entertainer of the world.

Why is will smith voted as 1 of the most influential people of 2006?

In a society where celebrities display no morality whatsoever, it's nice to see Smith get some respect. The man has gone from geeky teenage rapper to highly respected and talented actor. His marriage seems to be going strong. He seems to be raising his children right. And he is a fantastic role model. Why wouldn't he be influential? Especially with the timing of his last film?

EDIT: Yes, it is sad that America looks to celebrities for guidance, but if you are going to seek fame and celebrity, why not use that to act as a positive influence rather than an idiot?
