Car's battery died, got it charged, then car dies at stop lights?

Typically when a car battery is disconnected or dies, the PCM (powertrain control module) returns to a factory default program, and resets the adaptive fuel trim, in other words, your car has lost its memory, and will have to relearn the minimum air flow before proper idle operation, this can take a few drive cycles to restore. Sometimes the engines internal idle air passage can become partially restricted from carbon and affect idle quality. This may cause some difficulties in relearning the correct opening rate and position, so if it does not cure itself within a few trips, seek out a professional to look at key elements of the engines fuel and air intake system.

Is it illegal to get out of your car at a stoplight?

It was raining one day and I was at a stoplight. A homeless guy in a wheelchair with no legs was out sitting in the rain with nowhere to go. So I went to my trunk and gave him my extra raincoat. The light turned green before i got back into my car but the other drivers didn't see it as a problem or anything

My Dad got a ticket because I ran a red light??

There are no points on the ticket. It is issued to the registered owner of the vehicle. Just pay it, it doesn't go on the driving record unless you get it from one of the few places that takes a picture from the front showing the driver's face.

Red light camera ticket?

Unless the car is stolen, a red light photo ticket will not get your license suspended lol. A red light camera takes photos of your vehicle and its license plate number. Law Enforcement may choose to act on it or not. If they do, They will most likely send a ticket in the mail. This goes to the registered owner of the vehicle, regardless of the driver at the time of the photo capture. It is as a normal ticket would be issued by an officer. 3 or 4 points for the violation. It takes 12 points in a 12 months period to result in license suspension in the state of Florida, and it is almost identical for all other states. Since this is your first ticket, ask about driving school to eliminate your points off of your license, so that it appears you have no record of that ticket. The course usually costs around 20-30 dollars, and is a 4 hour course, available locally or through internet, and it sometimes reduces your ticket cost.

One more thing that may be helpful. If the "flash" that you saw is a little white light located right above the stop light. At most intersections this is there so that at any angle, when the light turns red, officers can see it (i.e. An officer is sitting at the intersection adjacent to you and cannot see the stop light, this white light shows the light is red, and allows officers to see that you have made a violation). Red light cameras are a fairly recent addition to intersections. Depending on your city, there may not be many cameras. When you see the video camera looking things, they are exactly what they appear to be... cameras, to capture violators, and in some cases monitor traffic.

I hope that I was helpful in answering your questions :)

Song, only got 1 stoplight and all it does is blink. small town.not hal. saturday in a small town. help?

Sounds like Sweethearts Of The Rodeo. The song is "Midnight Girl Sunset Town".

"I was born in a small town momma was a farmers wife
We knew everyone for miles around we lived here all our lives
It never even entered their minds I might not wanna stay
But I'm young I still got time I got to get away
And there's one stop-light blinking on and off
Everyone knows where their neighbours are
They roll up the streets when the sun goes down
I'm a midnight girl in a sunset town I'm a midnight girl in a sunset town

Seen places on the TV where they stay up all night long
Around here it's early to bed and they rise before the dawn
They say the old ways are still the best I cannot deny it
But I can't get no rest cause it's just too quiet
And there's one stop-light...

Now I lay me down to sleep pray the lord my soul to keep
If I should die before the world turns round
Lord don't leave me in this one horse town
Lord don't leave me in this one horse town
Well there's one stop-light...
There's one stop-light..."

Hopefully that's what you're looking for.

Red light camera ticket?

First, was the camera that flashed in front of you or behind you? The camera that would capture you would be about 50 feet behind you and to your right. If the camera was in a different location, it wasn't capturing you.

Second, here are the ways that our RLCs (Red Light Cameras) ticket people:

1. You stop beyond the stop line.

2. You stop prior to the stop line, move forward beyond the line and then stop again.

3. You don't stop at all while the light is red.

If you were even inches before that stop line when the light turned red and you kept going, you will probably be ticketed. I've seen tickets where people crossed that line 1/10th of 1 second after the light turned red. (Approximately 6 inches of space)

If you were beyond the line when the light changed to red, then you should be considered to have entered the intersection on the yellow and not ticketed.

Keep in mind that I'm going upon how our cameras are set. I can't guarantee that LA's aren't different.

As for trying to find out about the ticket, there really isn't any way to know until you get the letter in the mail. The movie clips are processed in the order they come in. Until they get processed though, nobody will know whether you got the ticket or not. (It's just a computer file sitting somewhere until they look at it for license plates.)

At a red light, is it illegal to make a right turn, a U-turn, and then another right turn in order to go straight?

Both right turns on red after a stop are OK, but at least in California you can only make a U turn in a business district at an intersection and according to your scheme, you have just left the intersection. If you are not at an intersection you need to have 200 feet of visibility each way which means you would have to go halfway down the block and wait for traffic to clear, by which time you would have already gotten a green light. So the answer is no, you can't do this legally in California. Other states are likely to be similar if not more restrictive (I believe some prohibit a right turn on red)

I drive a 95 Camry & the red brake light came on today, but the brakes seem normal and fluid is full? Problem?

I had to really press hard on the brake last night to get it to stop and there was no brake warning light, but then took it back out a few hours later last night and brakes seemed normal/fine with still no warning brake light. This morning, the brake warning light came on but the brakes seem fine, the brake fluid is full, and the emergency brake is not on. What is the problem?
