Which country is better for nurses, Australia or Canada?

The one where you can become a nurse in.Here are the rules for Canada.Becoming an RNYou also have to immigrate to Canada. The entire process is set up for self-service. Here is the full set of instructions.Canada prefers young and well educated immigrants. If you are, your path will be short and sweet.First try your luck on the fast route. This may give you a Permanent Residence visa in as little as a few months, if you are really good:Immigrate as a skilled worker through Express EntryIf this fails you, and you will know in the first ten minutes, then there is the long and arduous way. Start your process here:Do you want to come to Canada, or extend your stay?Every step is explained and clear. Just answer ALL the questions honestly.Be patient, it takes from one to five YEARS to get a visa. Any visa costs about CAD 2,000 to get. You also need to prove that you have CAD 12,300 for yourself, more for a family, BEFORE you get a visa. There are no shortcuts. Don’t waste your money on agents, lawyers or consultants. (I said that.) All they do is to take your money and some may even delay the process so they can charge you even more.Looking for work is pointless. No Canadian company will even look at your resumé before you are in the country with a visa. Canada is a country of well educated people. 53 % of all working age Canadians hold at least a Bachelor’s degree, that is the highest rate on the globe. I doubt that your skills are interesting and unique enough that any one will choose you over an applicant that is nearby.(Sorry.)

Is xray tech school harder than nursing school?

The radiologic technology (or "radiography") student needs to be strong in "the sciences" (e.g, biology, technical physics, and "general" anatomy & physiology). I'd heard that the rad tech program is supposed to be quite intense with a lot of information and concepts to be learned.

A rad tech may need to stand on his/her feet for long periods of time and may need to lift or turn patients with injuries or disabilities.

I suppose that a rad tech doesn't have the same types of liabilities (risk for lawsuits) as a nurse, but there is still a great responsibility and need for the individual to be competent.

Please be aware, however, that those in the medical imaging field (including rad tech and sonography) have said that there are *not* supposed to be too many jobs these days. Perhaps you may call the local hospitals and outpatient radiology centers to inquire that way, too.

Before taking pre-req courses for rad tech (or any field), please do some "job shadowing"/observing those in the field. You may want to consider volunteering in a health care setting as well.

If you're still interested in rad tech, please make sure that the program is JRCERT-accredited.

Who make more money nurses, radiology tech or ultra sound tech?

in health care the amount of money you make is pretty much directly impacted by how much school you have under your belt... so you can figure it out from there. there is demand throughout healthcare, but especially in elder care. consider also what you would ENJOY doing long term, even if you make a little less, there are a lot of low job satisfaction from people who didn't know what they were getting into, go do some information interviews with people doing the jobs you're considering.

If I had to choose between becoming a nurse or radiology tech, which would be the best choice?

It depends on what your resources are (time and money) to make that decision. A radiology tech has experience in one specific area of medicine and therefore doesn't require as much education (time and money) as a nurse does. Even if you choose to become an entry level nurse (LPN), you're looking at one solid year of Monday through Friday classes, all day, just to get your diploma. As a nurse, you'll have many more job opportunities than a radiology tech as you can work in literally any department within a hospital, anywhere in your state, or any of the other 49 states. I looked into all sorts of medical positions when deciding on what to go to school for and going to nursing school made the most sense. I love working with patients, nursing pay is above average compared with other 2-year Associates Degree programs, and once graduated, can work anywhere in the country. You have to WANT to be a nurse though. Even though I mentioned pay, money is at the bottom of the list as a benefit to becoming a nurse... If you don't have it in you to do the job, it doesn't matter how much you get paid.

Which is a better field to pursue Medical Laboratory Technician or Radiologic Technologist?

I think it depends on how much you like interacting with people.

A Radiologic Tech will be working hands on with a wide variety of patients all day and traits like compassion, patientce, and people skills would be important for this job.

The Medical Labratory Tecnician would be better suited for those who anre not as outgoing or people oriented as most of your time would be spent in a laboratory without much contact with other people.

There is not really one job that is "better" than the other, The question is which one is a better fit for your personality.

Which is better: nursing, optometry, or radiology?

Nursing. Although, all disciplines have their benefits. Radiology is definitely a discipline that is important for medicine as many people depend on the expertise of the radiologist when determining diagnoses. However, nursing is a career that can literally take you anywhere. There are so many options for nurses. Do you want to work with children? Do you want to help women deliver babies? Do you want to circulate in the operating room and see some really cool surgeries? Do you want to help those with complex wounds? Do you want to work in an office? Do you want to work for a school district? Do you want to travel the US? The options are limited only by your personal desires.

Radiology Tech. vs Nurse vs Dental Hygienist vs Medical Assistant. Help?

I am going into college next fall and i really want to choose a good career, something that i will like. I only want to go to college for 2 years. Im interested in going into the medical field but i cant decide on what to do! I know working in a peaceful environment will work great for me.. Which one of these is the hardest? Do nurses make a lot of money?

It really does entirely depend on the interpretation of ‘a lot of money’.For example, I am a Senior Nurse in one of the busiest Emergency Departments in the UK - I am frequently running the department - in charge of 40+ staff and up to 150 patients at any one time. My gross annual salary is approximately $48,000 (US dollars)I don't consider that to be a huge salary but I appreciate that it is significantly more than some people earn.
