Well it makes sense from an acting point. Natalie Dormer has admitted she wasn’t aware of the “sparrows around the neck” comment from Margaery so she didn’t play that with foreshadowing. Because that’s what it was. Foreshadowing. But for Melisandre, to play her and KNOW her, you have to know what she knows. It makes sense Carice had to know the meaning of the lines she was given (indeed there are many hints in her dialogue) and she played it like these were truthful statements because they were.To answer your question: she played the lines about long time, history, etc. with a certainty and honesty of someone who genuinely remembers her life versus someone who is just being a bit dramatic or condescending.

There are a lot of hot actors on Game of Thrones. But honestly, I’m really confused between these two so I’m going to name both of them. I swear my expression was like Deadpool’s when I saw them, except with more love! Haha.So here they are:TOM WLASCHIHA (Jaqen H’ghaar):I seriously have the hots for him. Does Lena Headey look like Cersei?
It is not like look of Cersei , it is that Cersei is supposed to have the classical features of beauty that Westerosi prize like high cheekbones, green eyes , blonde hair which looks like beaten gold and an innocence about her which would be wholly deceptive. When people look at Cersei, they are supposed to forget that how full of fury she is and how much angry she is at the whole world. Her beauty’s power is that it works as a weapon against her patriarchal setting and Cersei uses it to the hilt. She is supposed to look like her…Yeah! i find Sophie’s look matches the book description perfectly minus the green eyes. She is classically beautiful and can carry both Robert’s rebellion and post rebellion 15 years later perfectly if she tried. But alas! she is not Cersei and GoT is not ASOAIF.Cersei’s look is not much of a problem with Lena actually. Lena Headly is stunning in her own right and any women who could carry off such fugly , maggie noodle hair style has to be a rare beauty indeed . The quality that Cersei uses her beauty as weapon is missing and hence she doesn’t need to have Sophie’s feature anyway. Lena doesn’t play Cersei’s role. She plays the role of a Tiger mom, who is sexually harassed by unreasonable men and her children are assholes and she has to handle everything while laments how awful her children are and how stupid her boyfriend/brother is.And anyway, what is there to complain? it is not like Lena and Nikolaj are twins either and the significance of it is also cut-off so who cares?It is funny how book readers in general are complaining about insignificant things when big chunks of the plot is butchered in front of their eye and they can’t be bothered. I wish our book-show fandom was more like Harry Potter’s. They make sure any deviation gets the criticism it deserves and GoT fandom claps happily while one by one Starks are disrespected in an adaptation which was supposed to respect their ethos!edit: as a humorous bonus, i would like everyone to marvel at how Lena Headey makes ugly hairstyles and wigs normal and pretty because wow! whoever she plays even if she is not “Cersei”-cersei, at least she does it will panache!I mean look at her with that maggie noodles! the hairstyle, the wig the color is so rank ugly and yet she looks beautiful. how does she do that?
