Who Is The True Welterweight Champion; Mayweather Or Bradley

Is Floyd Mayweather still fighting Amir Khan in May or is the sweepstakes still up for grabs?

Following his pattern last year of taking on gradually increasing level and quality of opposition ( Guerrero and then Alvarez ), I think he will take a lighter opponent first ( possibly Khan, Maidana or Porter ) then going against a biggie ( possibly Lara or Pacquiao if Arum holds true to his words that he will release Manny if needed ). My guest is that Floyd will most likely be fighting Maidana or Porter in another welterweight unification this May. Khan I think is not yet ranked in the welterweights to make possible a title defense against him. Unless the WBC again miraculously rank him as high as top 5.

Who is the most skilled boxer in the welterweight division?

Assuming Floyd Mayweather is finally, really, truly, retired, it is either Terence Crawford, or Errol Spence.Terence Allan Crawford, age 31, is a world champion in three weight classes, having held the WBO welterweight title since June 2018; previously he held the WBO, Ring magazine and lineal lightweight titles from 2014 to 2015. He then held the unified and undisputed WBA (Super), WBC, IBF, WBO, Ring and lineal light welterweight titles between 2015 and 2017. Crawford became the first male boxer to simultaneously hold all four major world titles in boxing (WBA, WBC, IBF, and WBO) since Jermain Taylor in 2005, and is one of only five boxers since there were that number of alphabet titles to be unified champion.Crawford is the world's second best active boxer, pound for pound, according to the Boxing Writers Association of America, and Transnational Boxing Rankings Board and third by Ring, ESPN, and BoxRec.He is a highly skilled technical boxer, with power in both hands. He is also known for his extraordinarily fast hand speed, and defensive skills. He can also comfortably switch hit from an orthodox to southpaw stance.Errol Spence Jr., 28 years old, is a boxer who has held the IBF welterweight title since 2017. In his amateur career, he won three consecutive United States national championships and was part of the US Olympic Team in 2012, where he reached the quarter-finals; in the welterweight division.Spence is ranked as the world's seventh best active boxer, pound for pound, by Ring magazine; he is also ranked as the world's best active welterweight by the Transnational Boxing Rankings Board, and second by Ring, and BoxRec.Spence is a huge welterweight, 5'10" with a 72 inch reach. (Crawford, 2 inches shorter, actually has a 2 inch reach advantage over Spence!)Spence has real power in both hands. He is a sound technical fighter, with excellent fundamentals and good hand speed. While he cannot match Crawford's handspeed, he is stronger, and hits harder. While I would favor Crawford to beat him by decision, it is anyone's fight.

Who is greater; Julio Cesar Chavez or Floyd Mayweather Jr.?

Chavez fought in a similar style as Jake Lamotta.

Mayweather fights in a similar style to Charley Burley.

Chavez facts;
At his peek he was 87 wins 75 ko's 0 losses 0 draws
Retired with 107 wins 86 ko 6 losses 2 draws
Had 38 championship fights.

Mayweather facts;
Currently has 45 wins 26 ko's 0 losses 0 draws.
Currently active fighter.
Had 22 championship fights.

Who is greater & why?

Who had the better legacy; Mayweather or Pacquiao?

& why?

Manny Pacquiao is a record 8 division paper champion & the first fighter to ever be lineal champion in 4 weight classes.
Floyd Mayweather Jr. is a 5 division paper champion & a lineal champion in 3 weight classes.

Pacquiao is The Ring fighter of the year 3x.
Mayweather is The Ring fighter of the year 2x.

Pacquiao's record so far is 55 wins 38 ko 5 losses [the same record Muhammad Ali has].
Mayweather's record so far is 45 wins 26 ko 0 losses [almost the same as Joe Calzaghes record].

Don't be bias. Superstars rise and fade, give me a constructive argument on who will be regarded as greater in 30 years when both men are out of the spotlight, like Joe Calzaghe & Roy Jones today. Don't talk about who is more humble, or who makes more money, just talk boxing legacy. No nuthugging please

Can Anthony Joshua fight Floyd Mayweather?

Maybe if he comes to Vegas and insults Floyd's mother or something, but there is absolutely zero chance they will ever fight in a sanctioned boxing match. They are something like 80 pounds and six weight classes apart. No respectable commission would ever sanction that fight, at least unless Mayweather fattened up Ricky Hatton-style to technically qualify him as a heavyweight. There is actually no rule saying the guy under 200 pounds can't fight as a heavyweight, but there are rules against gross mismatches and unsafe disadvantages. Besides, Floyd is smart enough to know he could never last a round with Anthony Joshua.The weight and strength disparity is so great, that even if Floyd blocked a punch from Joshua, he would probably be knocked badly off-balance, and maybe even knocked down by it. It is so ludicrous a proposition that neither guy would be taken seriously if they even suggested the fight. Everyone would know that Floyd was just posturing or had gone so crazy that he actively wants to get hurt. As for Joshua, people would laugh at him and tell him to pick on someone his own size.Zero chance it would ever happen, and even less chance it should.
