Who Is This Person In The Picture

Who is the person in this picture?

So I was talking to someone online, and it turns out that they were a catfish (stole somebody's pictures online and pretended it was them) after weeks of talking. After finding this out, I've been trying to find out the actual person in the picture and I haven't found a thing.

Can I look for a name of a person with a picture?

Not directly, but there are some techniques involved. If the picture is from an internet source, you can use Google's Image Search to find other sites with a matching photograph. If you're using Google Chrome, you can right click any image on the web and perform a Google Image Search on that image.TinEye Reverse Image Search provides a similar service. You could crowd-source the investigation. It's a long shot, but if you start asking others to help you identify the person, then it could be fruitful. Have you tried Quora or Reddit for this? :)Example: Who is the person in the picture wearing a Columbia sash?More famous or well-known people will be easier to identify.Providing context for the photo will help your army of researchers. An even longer shot is... If the image contains useful meta information that meta information could help you pin-down where the photo was taken, when it was taken and maybe even by who it was taken.Objects in the background of the photo, such as plants or magazines or signs can all help geographically.(If digital) The image format itself might include some data such as GPS co-ordinates, or camera make and model.Fashion, hair styles or other time-sensitive objects could help identify the year the photo was taken. You could then feasibly work out roughly how old the person should be now.Hope that helps.

Can I find the identity of a person by a picture?

(Repeating my answer from 2016)Start by examining the picture. Are there any clues that would help identify the person? Is the person wearing a name tag or ID badge? Is there a car with a visible license plate? Can you determine the city? Is there a house address in the image. Is there anything in the background that might include a name? I knew a customer service rep at the Kodak processing lab. He told me that when people sent their film for processing and forgot to include their name and address, the customer service people were able to identify about half of the orders (of course they had more than one picture to work with).Next use Google image search. Go to Google Images and either drag and drop an image file on the search bar or upload an image file. For images on the internet, using Chrome, right-click on the image and select “Search Google for Image”. Go to all the websites that have a matching picture. If you are still not successful, try social media. Post the picture on facebook, twitter, or send it via email. Ask people if they can identify the photo. Provide as much background information as possible. If you can spin a good story around the photo, you will get more help. Promise a modest reward such as the conclusion of the story. I once got a request to help locate the subject matter of a box of old Kodachrome slides that had been scanned. There were some good indications the slides were shot in the Rochester, NY area. I forwarded the request to the Rochester Photo Historical Society. I knew there were several members who would respond to a challenge like this. By the end of the day we had identified the specific locations and some of the people. I once came across a photo of a waterfall labeled “Upstate NY”. That narrows it down to 300 or more locations. This was before you could search Google for images. I sent it to a group of people who I though might be able to identify it. A painter friend had seen painting of this waterfall and remembered the location.

Can you upload a picture of a person in order to ask who is that person?

Google has a service for reverse image research. You upload an image or copy the link of an image and it gives you other pages with the same image. I can't assure you that you'll find more webs with the image or that if you find them, they'll know the name of the person in the image, but if it's a famous person, I'm sure it will work. If the person isn't famous, you may be lucky and find his/her profile in some webs (Fb, LinkedIn...). Have luck (press the camera icon): Google Images

How can I find out if the person in a picture is who he says he is?

Well if the person is willing to take a picture for you have them do something out of the ordinary that way you can determine that it is an original picture. For example I've randomly picked a spot on the face. Then I pick a random finger. Then I had them touch that part of the face with that finger and take a picture. It's a way of ensuring that you're getting an original. Of course you can pick other random things to do that may be less awkward. It's up to you. Just remember, the more random the action you ask him to do the more likely it can't be faked.

What do you call a person who is posing for a picture?

Is it called a "Portrait-ee" or something? I have no idea, I just know there should be some kind of a specific title you give to someone that's having a portrait of them painted. Like basically you're the artist painting the person that's posing for you, so what do you call the person that's posing? I know they're not simply called just posers.. what do you think?

How do i measure the lenght of a person in a picture?

You can make a guess based on something in the picture that you know the length of, and assuming it is in the same plane at the person, and thus at the same scale. If this is assumed true, the pixel:real hight ratio is even.
