What is it with you people? This is easy as a question; each of these were equally bad in their own way, with no redeeming features in any of them, but if I had to choose? 1. Stalin, who killed 20 million of his own people before Barbarossa commenced, and why? Because of his own paranoia! He condemned the "White Russians", the Poles, to death with the Nazi-Soviet Non-Aggression Pact, whilst having thousands of Polish Officers slaughtered at Katyn; he then stood by whilst heroic resistance from the Polish Home Army was snuffed out in Warsaw, when he could have liberated Warsaw easily; he then had the temerity to pretend to be shocked at the Nazi extermination camps; bear in mind that the Soviet Gulags didn't stop operating after the Second World War, Alexander Solyshenitsin, being one prominent victim; the Gulags' main method of extermination? Mostly Starvation, forced Labour, etc. Sheer indifference, which by the way, is the absolute opposite of Love, not Hate, which denotes at least some emotional attachment; 2)Hitler, because he prepared to kill all who stood in his way, he set up camps to specifically kill people (Auschwitz-Berkanau, Mjadenek, etc), he believed God to be on his side and used the worst kind of lies, that of half-truths, eg "National-Socialist"?, he was prepared to have every German die with him, and he revelled in cruelty, eg having those implicated in the July Plot strung up on meat hooks by piano wire, and filming their death agonies. But Hitler hated, Stalin mistrusted, and disposed of those he had the slightest reason to mistrust in Gulags, where he could just forget about them (indifference); Stalin had more of an evil about him; 3) Mao showed indifference to the suffering of his people, seeing them as mere fodder in his grand plans, but he had no real plan for world domination; this must be viewed from the perspective of the times he found himself in, however. As people they were equally bad that is evil and ruthless so the only thing that can distinguish them is that Staling saved his country from being occupied by the German invaders even though he did it with ruthless regard for human life sacrificing thousands of his soldiers to finally beat the Germans and Hitler sacrificed his people but also left his country in ruins and occupied. Even though Russia was in many places in ruins it was not occupied or defeated.

Why do people think Hitler worst than Stalin or Mao?
Seeing how Stalin killed anywhere from 20 to 40 million people and Mao killed about 70 million people. Is it because Hitler killed 6 million... Jews? Is it the fact that they were Jews? So the life of a Jew is more valuable than that of a Chinese or a Russian? I have Jewish ancestry but I don't think we should count some peoples lives as "better" or more "desirable" than other peoples lives. A human life is a human life regardless of their religion or race political association or whatever. Logically it would make more sense to count Stalin and Mao as worst than Hitler. Maybe it's because they don't teach us about the genocide that the communist commit in schools. At least they never told us about it in my school. Stalin was excused because he was our ally in WW2, and none one cares about China. We went over some stuff about other dictators but none as much as Hitler. But if he weren't he would be demonized as well. I can fly a WW2 German swastika flag and everyone knows what that is and will freak out. But if I fly a communist flag only a few people will know what that is and even less will freak out. The only ones who might freak out are republicans and tea party members who will just shout out that I must love Obama. Personally I don't care for Obama but I like him much much better than Bush who is responsible for the deaths of over a million people and the collapse of the US economy.
