Who Is Your Favourite Character From Thor

Who is your favorite Marvel Comics character and why?

That’s actually pretty easy. The Punisher, aka Frank Castle.Ironically I consider him my favorite because he provides an interesting foil to my favorite DC Comics character, Batman. Now, would I consider Frank to be a “good man”? No, frankly I wouldn’t, but rather I would consider him a flawed man struggling to grapple with everything that has happened to him in his life, and resorts to using his set of specialized skills to channel his emotions into something concrete and arguably constructive. He also provides a view into one of the core morals that seems to almost never get tested enough; whether it is ever justified to kill, especially if the victim is a villain with the bodies of hundreds, thousands, possibly tens of thousands on their hands. At least in Marvel, the majority of them have “Will not kill under any circumstances” policy. It’s a black and white line that the overwhelming majority of the time is never crossed. The Punisher forces them to respond to this policy in a stark and psychologically grueling way.Is killing ever justified? Is killing a major villain who already admits to having killed innocents and intending to kill even more innocents justifiable? And if need be, does that extend to annihilating a villians entire criminal enterprise and assets to make sure they are unable to continue hurting others?Frankly (pun not intended), it is an interesting divergence to see the Punisher have a reverse view of most other major “good guys” in the Marvel franchise, and is willing to cross lines and societal norms that force others to confront the fact that even if his methods are morally questionable, even outright illegal or in some cases wrong, what they can’t argue is that he does stop criminals, in most cases in a permanent fashion.I will also admit my interest in him was renewed by the Netflix series Daredevil and The Punisher. Both provided insights into Frank Castle as a man, what motivates him, what haunts him, his strengths, his flaws, and expanding his character to being far more than just a ruthless gunman that guns down anyone he considers to be criminal.

Who is your favorite mythical character or god?

Mine is athena too. The goddess of wisdom. The smart one who was born from Zeus. I like her because she is wise, caring and nice. Because when Zeus needed help making a decision, she was there for him. She also helped Odysseus in his travel from Trojan war. So... she is my fav !!!

Who are your top five favourite MCU characters?

What if superheroes didn’t have any no-kill or no-maim moral rules in their goal to fight crime? You get a dreamlike character you would love to see serve justice by any means necessary. Jon Bernthal’s Punisher, fueled by rage, basically embodies that persona, and very well. No other MCU character is as entertaining to watch as Frank Castle, finding people who wronged him, or anyone who wants to for that matter, and brutally punishing them, but his show gives him some sympathetic humanity too, which Daredevil season 2 showcased a bit of; he brought even the devil of hell’s kitchen to tears. For me it’s worth appreciating this character because the Punisher name is the only thing that would make an outsider to the MCU realize it’s a marvel property; Frank Castle, and Jon Bernthal, just goes to show how unique and wide the MCU really is.2. On the other side of this spectrum, the person I think we all aspire to be, to do the right thing and maintain the belief that “the safest hands are our own” is Captain America. He has had the overall best trilogy in the MCU and a (almost) full character arc, and every scene with his speaking role is one to give attention to.3. Daredevil- he’s Batman without a butler, a fortune, or fame. He was bullied and had the hard life, but his character is one of the closest to a comic accurate atmosphere of a Marvel character, and two seasons of his show has done a lot to build his character, especially with him being the most likeable of the Defenders: he is very much the Captain America of the street level heroes.4. Being arguably the most flawed of the Defenders, it’s easy to ignore Jessica Jones, but she, like the Punisher reflects the diversity of the MCU in terms of the character’s backstories and the atmosphere of their stories. Choosing more frequently the “right” choices to get by or to try, without much success, to undo big mistakes makes her one of the more relatable of the MCU characters, and Krysten Ritter’s subtle facial expressions make this part of her character stand out much more.5. Black Panther- Like Steve Rogers, T’Challa is basically an ideal, stoic, handsome, and masculine human as Dan Holliday pointed out, but he is more than a version of Cap: he is also a King, richer than Batman and Iron Man, and incredibly intelligent in science, and although the Black Panther does not align monarchies in any way, he is amazingly entertaining and enlightening to watch.

What is your favourite scene involving Thor?

Ever since Thor’s powers have matured, he has become something simply awesome to behold. He is now on a scale comparable to that of any of the classic Greek or Roman mythologies. My favorite? With his grand entrance back to Earth into the Battle of Wakanda as a close second -His restarting the neutron star at Nidavellir and forging a war hammer worthy of a warrior king. Epic in the truest sense of the word.

Who are the best characters in Thor?

If we are allowed to choose the title character, I would say I've grown fond of Thor more and more after each Thor movie. After Ragnarok, he became one of my favourite characters in the MCU. This was cemented in IW.Other than Thor himself, it's Loki. Brilliant character. It's the brotherly and family dynamic that makes him for me. Outside of his father and mother issues with Odin and Frigga (he geuninely loved the latter even if he didn't always show it — we really got to see this in The Dark World), there is both contempt and love for Thor. Their relationship grew after each standalone movie to the extent where they looked like proper, loving brothers by the end of Ragnarok. You could see how broken Thor was when Thanos killed Loki (I do actually think he is dead this time).I also liked Odin. Clearly a wise and powerful king and almost became wiser in death with what he shares with Thor when Thor is pinned by Hela. He loved both of his sons but was rarely able to show it.Who can forget Korg? One of the funniest characters in the MCU to date. He was certainly a more serious character in the World War Hulk comics and animated movie but I like that they made him comic relief in Ragnarok. The Grandmaster and Hela deserve a nod too. The former was brilliantly played by Jeff Goldblum whereas the latter was a genuine threat to everyone including a powered up Thor. The devastation she could have caused had she had a chance to fulfil her plans…

Would The Avengers be better or worse if your favorite character was removed?

Would The Avengers be better or worse if your favorite character was removed?Silly question. There is no single member of the Avengers who brings a net negative to the group. Even if I list the biggest weakness of each member, their strengths certainly out weigh them. For example…Iron Man - arrogance, emotion.Captain America - self-righteousness.Hawkeye/Ronin - vulnerability because of his family.Wanda Maximoff - lack of confidence/skill with her powers.Black Widow - her past.Thor - detachment from humanity.Black Panther - isolationism.Hulk - unpredictability.Spider-Man - youth and inexperience.Ant-Man - same as Hawkeye.War Machine - reliance on Stark for technology, continued allegiance to the government.Falcon - same as War Machine.Dr. Strange - disconnected from humanity. When push comes to shove, they put aside their divided allegiances and come together. The biggest question for the next movie, is how Tony Stark will overcome his emotions and forgive both Bucky and Steve Rogers.

Who would win, whos your favorite Marvel or DC?

Spiderman can stop Wolverine. He can't kill him, but he can stop him. Just wrap him up so his arms and legs can't be moved and Wolverine is out of the fight.

Superman vs. Thor could go both ways, but I give the edge to Superman. He's not going to stand there and just let the lightning hit him, if it does Superman could very easily lose the fight right there. Ultimately though Superman's speed, and the very real possibility that if Thor throws Mjiolnir at him that Superman could catch it and wield the Power of Thor give him the more likely victory.

3. Green Lantern. Ultimately the Hulk just doesn't have a cool enough head and the ring can keep him at bay long enough for Green Lantern to either calm him down, or throw him into space. Either way GL wins. On the other hand if the Hulk can keep at him long enough he could pull off victory. Most likely win Green Lantern, but Hulk a possibility.

4. Eh, don't know. If they have a fistfight then Cap. has the strength, Batman has superior training.. If a full on battle Batman wins because he can bring more resources to bear against Cap. Most likely a draw. The fight goes either way.

5. Lex Luthor crushes the Joker. His resources can't be matched by anything the Joker can do, and Luthor is smart enough to win this fight. No contest.

6. Another toughie. My instincts tell me Flash though because there is a key difference between him and Iron Man. Namely Iron Man has a limited power source. The flash can run rings around him until that runs out, then he wins. Since the Flash can run as fast as Stark's repulsor's I really don't see Iron Man winning this fight.

7. Whiplash. No question.

So winners:
Spiderman.
Superman.
Green Lantern (with the Hulk a likely possibility as well).
Draw. Luthor.
Flash.
Whiplash.

Favorite comics company: DC.

Who is your favourite Marvel superhero? Why?

MCUIn this category, I have a few favourites.Tony StarkThorSteve RogersDr. StrangeStark is a genius, charismatic and kind person. His ego has shrunk tremendously over the years, down from the size of Russia. He also is extremely powerful, with all 50 suits, and a general badass. He is also very brave, as he went through a wormhole to save New York. He nearly died. Very awesome.Thor is a funny, kind Asgardian. He is willing to sacrifice himself for the greater good, just like Stark. He did have a huge ego as well, until he got his powers back. His ego was then gone. Now he has Stormbreaker, a great film (Ragnarok) a decent film (Thor) and a meh film (Dark World). Thor after unlocking his powers is one of the most awesome people in the MCU. He again, nearly died. General badass.Rogers is the embodiment of Freedom. He is a great tactician, and a good person. Willing to lay down his life for the greater good, like the others mentioned. Frozen in ice for 60ish years. Now he is a brilliant avenger and irreplaceable like Stark. Very awesome.Strange has the least progress on his arc out of everyone else, however he is a guardian now. he has subjected himself to thousands of years of torture to save Earth. His ego is no more, and he also has the power of the Mystic Arts. Great character.Out of all of these though, I feel like I have to definitely choose Stark. Not too powerful like Strange and Thor, but not too “weak” like Rogers and Romanoff. In the MCU he is great and a good person. I choose Stark here.ComicsStark here is much different then in the MCU. While arguably more badass then his film counterpart, his personality is much worse. I disqualify Stark from here.ThorSteve RogersThese are my favourite characters in the comics. Thor’s Mjolnir is really awesome, and has many powers. Thor himself is also really cool, however not as good a person as his film counterpart.Rogers has the best ideals in the comics. He has no bigotry, racism, sexism, ageism, anything. He represents hope, and stood up to Thanos. Very good character.I choose Captain America here. While his strength levels are much lower then the MCU, and he really is a peak human, his personality, goals and ideals are what set him apart from others. Rogers is definitely the best choice here.If I have to choose based on awesomeness, I choose Stark though. Rogers is cool, Stark seems cooler.TL;DR: Stark in the MCU, Rogers in the Comics.
