Who Owns Nj Gov Chris Christie

Is NJ Governor Chris Christie gay?

I have heard people say that Governor Christie of New Jersey is gay, but is in the closet.

I live in New Jersey and it doesn't matter to me whether the governor is gay or straight, I am just curious because I have now heard it multiple times.

Before you say he can't be gay because he has a wife and kids, remember previous NJ governor Jim McGreevey had a wife and kid and he was a self-proclaimed gay!

What do people like about Chris Christie?

Americans generally like fat people, who they find to be jolly and unthreatening, even if they're assholes.I'm serious, but to be a little more substantive, what is "likable" about Chris Christie, other than his "Jersey tough" self-confidence (to people who still prize such things), is, not his "balls," but in fact something more like the opposite - the intense desire to preserve his political viability that leads him to refuse to follow the even more extreme members of the conservative wing of his party (the only one left, really), most of them accountable only to similarly conservative district- or state-level constituencies, over the national political cliff that threatens to end their status as a major political party (and would quickly threaten his near-term future in a blue state in which he barely won office in an off-year). The recognition that Katrina-like conditions could torpedo his political career after Sandy, for example, led him to tie himself closely to the President of the opposite party (not insignificantly against a rival who might displace his own ambitions) and call out members of his own in an attempt to secure funds for his State, of which he admittedly is quite a partisan. Never mind that he had previously ignored warnings about the impact of such storms - the academics he still loves to deride are apparently among the "fools and time-wasters" referenced by Kelly Erickson - and taken retrograde actions on climate change, which he continues to doubt, and other environmental matters. It doesn't hurt his popularity that he's a savvily self-promoting social media user, and, though very much a suburban social conservative with a history of questionable statements and policies directed at women and minorities, at least someone cognizant of the inhumanity of intolerance, less bad than the sort of trogolodytic homophobes and racists you find among Southern and Midwestern Republicans in Congress.

Is Chris Christie corrupt?

This is a good question. New Jersey’s history has been filled with an endless list of politicians who chose to remember that their position came with the ability to receive “favors.”I’d say that Chris Christie is a small bully, who gets satisfaction from knowing that he’s made someone else unhappy, rather than overtly “corrupt.” His vision is - and always has been - strictly limited. He’s the neighbor who puts up the ugly wall no one wants that blocks your garden from getting sun and makes you take him to court over and over to get it painted, lowered, removed. It’s not that he wanted the ugly wall…it’s just that it pissed you off, so he’s happy. In most cases “corrupt”politicians were accepting a quid pro quo from a person and were just absurdly stupid about it. Like getting housework for free from a person after you passed a law that they directly benefited from. Christie’s not corrupt that way…he’ll wait until he’s out of office to get that work done. But he will definitely schedule work on the road in front of your house to get back at you for saying something mean about him. A little man, who enjoys pointless revenge.

Why didn't Trump pick Chris Christie as his VP?

Several reasons. First, Christie could contribute nothing to the electoral vote total. New Jersey usually votes Democratic in presidential elections, and that won’t change now that Christie is so despised in his home state. That’s not the case with Pence: Indiana appeared to be a swing state until Trump chose Pence, so now the Republicans have a good chance to carry his home state. Then Christie committed the unforgivable sin of welcoming President Obama to New Jersey in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. That makes him anathema to the hard-right Obama haters who are Pence’s natural constituents. Also, Christie’s “sit down and shut up” act has worn thin. Other presidential candidates have chosen a running mate to be an attack dog (Richard Nixon and Spiro Agnew, Gerald Ford and Bob Dole), but Trump is his own attack dog and doesn’t need another one. Not that this would necessarily be a mark against Christie in Trump’s mind, but evidently Trump’s children have better political instincts than their father and would have come to the realization before he did that a ticket with two obnoxious windbags would turn off undecided voters. Finally, Trump can’t restrain for long his compulsion to squash anyone he perceives as weak. Christie’s utter servility to Trump has become a national joke, and it’s possible Trump chose someone else out of pure sadism. But evidently the humiliation is worth it to Christie, whose political career is all but dead and buried. In a Trump administration he still might be rewarded with a position, perhaps Attorney General, that would give him some prestige and authority, more so than he would as vice president.

Did Fat Boy Chris Christie just blow any chance to get elected President and any chance to get re-elected Governor with his MOP comments?

For a Governor as unpopular as Chris Christie, leaving the state to campaign during the states flooding problems looks pretty bad. But to comment and say "what do they want me to do, come down there and bring a mop".

Is Fat Boy in trouble?

Does Chris Christie have an official website?

Governor Christie's official website is http://nj.gov/governor/.His official Facebook page is https://www.facebook.com/GovChri....His Twitter page is http://www.twitter.com/GovChristie.

Do you believe former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie will ever be involved in politics again?

It seems unlikely. He has zero popularity in his home state and will never have a meaningful role with Trump because of Kushner. And now he’s putting out a book reportedly very critical of Trump which will make him verboten throughout the Republican Party. You will probably see a lot of him in the future, as you have recently, appearing as a talking head expert on various legal and political matters. In addition, he probably has or will soon have a position in some law firm. That makes for easier work and much more income than being in elected office anyway.
