Who Thinks The Megalodon Is Still Alive

Is Megalodon still alive?

Nobody knows it for sure, but as long as nobody has given another prove, you might still be right.

Are megalodon sharks still alive?

Well, nobody really knows for sure. It is very possible that they are alive. If they are it has probably only been an immature one. We wont know for sure until one is caught or video recorded alive. Take one look at a panda. They have sharp teeth that look that they were designed for eating meat, but they only eat bamboo. The point is, that meg. could be living only in the very deep. Possibly the great trenches have them. The question you asked has been very controversial. Some people believe that SOME great white sharks, are actually juvenile . But like I said, nobody really knows for sure.

Is Megalodon still alive?

When scientists say a species is extinct, they don't know know for sure if the animal is gone completely. They mean no sightings or interference. But, to tell you the truth, Megalodon might be out there still. There's a very small chance of it, but, like that other person said, if Giant Squids could pass unknown for that much time, Megalodon could too. The Earth is pretty big. A Megalodon could possibly affect the natural balance of population.

Is the Megalodon Shark still alive?

I think it is possible for a large shark species to exist that is not known to science (or previous ones thought to be extinct). Before Megalodon many thought the Giant Squid/ Colossal squid - didn't exist they were just a legend until recently.. The truth is oceans and seas of the world are alive with many undiscovered creatures still hiding in the murky depths. Oceanographic missions sometimes stumble on a previously undiscovered species of aquatic life that adds yet another creature to the list of marine specimens.

I suppose, if Megalodon is around today, only time and circumstance will tell. Evolution may have shaped this creature into a shark that is common in the seas and oceans, and the Megalodon of the past is now extinct in it's original form. we still have a small amount of super huge white sharks roaming the oceans, and they are the ancestors of megalodon.

The Megalodon [Still Alive?]?

There is no evidence that it exists. For one thing, a big shark like that would need big meals. For all the whaling that has happened in the past, and more modern whale tracking we have never seen huge bite marks on whales. The rate the whales die is consistent with natural death, and death by boat accidents, but not a predator-prey relationship. Also the most recent megalodon teeth come from tens of thousands of years ago. We have no evidence of megalodons existing today.

Is the (Megalodon) real?

Im just cerious. i beleive that it still lurks our oceans. i just want to know what you guys think about this creature and how many people think its possible and how many people think it doesnt exist at all.

speak freely on subject, and any evidence (RECENT) or information on the megalodon, would be appriciated thanks.

Do you think the The Megalodon Shark still exists?

I believe the Megalodon still exists, and its not like there haven't been sightings. There have been many discoveries that suggest it might be alive like a fishing crew finding a fossilised megalodon tooth from only 11,000 to 24,000 years ago when it was supposed to be extinct over 1 million years ago but there's also things that make it seem less likely such as no carcases with megalodon teeth marks in them, but at the depth they would live in it would just sink i guess. anyway 11,000 years is enough for a shark to die in and there would need to be an entire colony to breed new pups. If it was going to live anywere it would have to be at the sea floor and around whale breeding grounds and other large prey because a shark like that would weigh up to 53 tones qould need to consume around 7% of its body weight each day. Eating that much food should have given us some evidence by now unless it was very, very deep which would explain why they arent all over the place and if they had enough food at the sea floor they wouldnt need to surface for food. We are still discovering new shark spieces today, we know more about space than we do about our own oceans so whats to say se wont make a discovery of a living carcharodon megalodon. Personally i belive its still alive.
