Who is most likely to be the first man/woman on Mars?

Who is most likely to be the first man/woman on Mars? The most likely person to be the first human on the surface of Mars is almost surely someone currently under the age of thirty. Therefore, it would be someone who is probably not very well known yet. This person is not likely to have already been selected as an astronaut. There is essentially no realistic possibility that any human will land on the surface of Mars in less than 15 years. It could easily take the approximately 25 years that NASA is currently predicting. Those of you who think that Elon Musk actually believes in the timetables that he talks about publicly have not been paying attention to his track record. He uses unrealistic schedules as a motivational technique. I can’t say whether or not this technique is effective, but it is his style.

What will be the date of the first man on Mars?

SpaceX’s “aspirational goal” is to do a manned Mars mission in 2024, following an unmanned mission with BFR in 2022. SpaceX has accomplished amazing things in their short history, but hitting their target schedule is not one of them — I would guess 2026 is about as optimistic as we can hope for. Especially given the currently missing pieces of ISRU technology needed for a manned mission to be cost effective. Various people and institutions (including NASA) are working on the required ISRU tech, but they exhibit less urgency than SpaceX.NASA is planning a more conservative manned Mars mission for the 2030s.

What is the first man made thing to go to mars?

Mariner 4 became the first space craft to take closeup pictures of Mars as it flew by the planet on July 14, 1964. It did not land or even enter orbit.

On July 20, 1976 Viking 1 became the first space craft to land on Mars.

Why is it hard to land on Mars?

No, it would probably be easier on Earth. The thin atmosphere means parachutes don't work very well, which is why it needs to use rockets. The rover weighs has a mass of about 900 kg, which on Earth is about 2000 lb. On Earth you could probably land it with just a parachute.

Mercury has basically no atmosphere, so parachutes would be completely useless. It would be about as hard as landing on the moon. But it's harder to get something in orbit around Mercury since it's so close to the sun. We didn't get a probe in orbit around Mercury until last year.

Venus has a thick enough atmosphere to use a parachute, which I believe is what the Russians did for their landers in the 70s and 80s. Though you need a specially designed craft to handle the corrosive atmosphere, high temperature, and high pressure. None of the Russian ones lasted more than a couple hours.

You can't land on any of the gas giants. Anything would be crushed long before it got to anything that could be described as a surface.

If you were the first person on Mars what would you say?

It took 4 days for the Apollo 11 crew to reach the moon. The flight time to Mars is likely to be about 18 months. Hence in Kim Stanley Robinson's superb Mars Trilogy, the first words spoken by the first man on Mars were: "Well, here we are".A manned mission to Mars would be a massive organisational undertaking.  400,000 people worked on the Apollo program at its peak, in an age when the US government still had an appetite for mega-projects. We in the west live in the Age of Individualism now, so do not at all be surprised if the first words on Mars are actually...... in Chinese.

Who landed on Mars?

He successfully managed to come back to Earth too.Source: Google imagesJokes apart, No man has landed on Mars as of now. How can I become the first person on Mars?

The most likely country to try to do this is the USA. They might share the effort with the Russians and the Chinese and maybe UK, but I doubt it. So the best bet would be to get US Citizenship. Then you need to be one of the types of people they typically choose for long stints on the Space Station; Military Pilot, Aeronautical Engineer, Space Scientist. For a Mars mission, I would expect them to consider Botanists and possibly Cellular Biologists, and especially, Planetary Scientists. If you are and American in one of those fields, and one of the best too, and you are very fit, and very emotionally stable, then you may have a chance.Perhaps become a world-renowned expert on Mars and be very fit and less than 50 at the time of the mission. Professor of Planetary Sciences at an Ivy League University and an advisor to NASA. That would be your best bet.
