Who Were The Two Egyptians Responsible For Driving Out The Invaders

Why did Napoleon invade Egypt?

Just a bit of clarification: by this point in time, Napoleon was not the supreme head of France. That would be the Directory. Nor was it his plan to invade Egypt. It was actually Talleyrand’s idea, based on a report by François Baron de Tott, and he convinced Napoleon of it. The Directory itself was more than a little reluctant to send their best general halfway around the world just as another war was brewing on the continent. To keep it simple, I’ll just outline the goals of the expedition:To attack British commerce and cut off the shortest trade route between the British Isles and India, the Isthmus of Suez.To establish a cotton and sugar cane colony. To keep Napoleon away from the unpopular Directory, given that the more popular he got, the more dangerous he became. Thus, staying in France could’ve actually resulted in his assassination, or a coup.Allow for a means of linking up with Tipu Sultan of Mysore, a French ally. That being said, however, there were problems with the goals presented to the Directory. They were not presently at war with the Ottoman Empire, who owned Egypt at the time.French Republican policy explicitly forbade overseas colonisation. Thus, to obfuscate the real reasons behind the expedition, they were given a scientific purpose: “to enlighten the world and to obtain new treasures for science.” To that end, they sent a large team of scientists with the expedition to make good on that.

What factors led to the rise of Ancient Egypt?

Before egypt was independent from Nubia(Ta khenset ) , Egypt was a colony of Nubia. Before independence Egypt paid taxes on the ancient Nubian trade routes in the red sea, nile river, and sea ports. The red sea ports were major for transporting goods from east to west. Egyptians realized that independence would maximize their profits and build the country. Egypt went to colonize the Mediterranean and , and Proto-Persia seizing all river ways and profits of taxes.Their schools and institutions gained world wide recognition that also collected taxes. Under colonial rule Greece Rome,Persia, Nubia, Petra and the Levant all paid colonial dues. In war campaigns Egypt could use military from any one of its colonies.Egyptian crafts were at the highest quality because of their institutions. Even at today's standards , egyptian goods were just as good or better. Egyptian societies were a aristocratic society where women wore dresses and purses 5,000 years ago. Education created its powerhouse status . With a well educated trained , civil society they had the ability to make any product that they wanted. As a society they had true order because the law was their religion. Being civil was instilled since childhood.

Was Egypt ever colonized?

Egypt was invaded many times throughout history, but it was under the colonial rule of the British Empire, but its history is different from most colonization in African countries. This colonization took on several steps. It started in what was called the “veiled protectorate” when Egypt was still part of the Ottoman Empire. But when the Ottomans joined the first world war on the side of the Central Powers, the British announced a formal protectorate over Egypt and installed a new king who named the country independent of the Ottomans. The British installed army in the country at that time, especially around Suez Canal which they controlled, and were incredibly influential in the government. They were intertwined with the government, and could remove ministers and even kings. This continued on until the Egyptian Revolution in 1952, which installed a government that negotiated with the British pulling out of the country.
