Who Will Win The Season Opener Green Bay Or Seattle

Who will win the NFC West in the 2017 NFL season?

Seattle will simply because they continue to be a dominant team. 49ers are in full rebuild mode and I highly doubt that they will become a competitive team at least for a few years. The Rams are still sorting things out in LA and with Goff and the new coaches. They also lack good players in general on both sides of the ball. Therefore, they are also rebuilding and it is likely that they will be around the same area as the 49ers.The Cardinals on a different hand could challenge the Seahawks for the NFC West. Their defense should still be above average despite losing Jefferson, Swearinger, Campbell and more. They still have Peterson, Chandler, Golden, and Mathieu (assuming he returns back to his old form). Their offense comes down to which Carson Palmer we see. He is getting old and seems like he is regressing but if he can return back to his 2015 form then perhaps this offense could be powerful. Fitzgerald still seems reliable and can play at a high level for at least one or two more years. David Johnson is one of the best running backs in the league despite having a below average offensive line. I feel like he will continue to succeed and play at a high level for years to come. However, the Seattle Seahawks will win the West in my opinion. Russel Wilson will be healthy next year and will be able to play at the high level he can. Jimmy Graham showed immense talent last year and should be even better next year. Baldwin and the other WRs seem pretty solid and create a nice receiving core with Graham. Thomas Rawls, Eddie Lacy, CJ Prosise seems like a pretty good backfield. It just comes down to which Eddie Lacy and Rawls we see next year. They both have great talent as shown in previous years and could create a powerful duo with Prosise getting occasional reps and as a 3rd down back. Their defense is unmatched and will continue to be one of the best in the league assuming no major injuries happen. Sherman still seems like the lockdown corner he is while Chancellor and Thomas are still one of the best, if not the best, safety duos in the league. Wagner and Wright are good linebackers and Bennett and Avril round our a top passing rushing duo. Therefore despite having a weak offensive line, Seattle has immense talent and potential which is why I think they will win the West.

What is the probability that the Seattle Seahawks make the playoffs next season (2019-2020)?

I think there is a very good chance. Here is the Hawks schedule for next year:Home: (Current record)New Orleans Saints (13–2)Tampa Bay Buccaneers (5–10)Baltimore Ravens (9–6)Cincinnati Bengals (6–9)Minnesota Vikings (8–6)San Francisco 49ers (4–11)Los Angeles Rams (12–3)Arizona Cardinals (3–12)Road:Atlanta Falcons (6–9)Carolina Panthers (6–9)Cleveland Browns (7–7–1)Pittsburgh Steelers (8–6–1)Most likely Philadephia Eagles (8–7)San Francisco 49ers (4–11)Los Angeles Rams (12–3)Arizona Cardinals (3–12)To me, this looks like a 6–2 home record, 4–4 road record kind of schedule, similar to this year. I think the Rams have one more great year and then their cap catches up with them (the league may be catching up with them anyway as they haven’t played very well over the last 3 weeks). Otherwise, this schedule looks very manageable.

How did Colin Kaepernick play in the opening weekend of the 2014 NFL season against the Dallas Cowboys?

If we're looking at his growth as a quarterback, I saw two major indicators of maturity:His touchdown throw to Vernon Davis in the 1st quarter showed that he's not afraid to throw under pressure.  And after last season's NFC Championship Game, that's good to see!  Davis's bobble made me nervous, but he did keep control for the score.  Kap's poise in that situation, throwing on the run with a defender grabbing at his ankles, made me stand up and cheer. His sliding showed he's willing to protect himself.  Every armchair quarterback in America has observed that Kap's mobility is as much a liability as an asset, as he'll take more hits the more that he pulls it down and runs.  I saw at least three or four runs where he slid feet-first to protect himself, which is the smart move.I would've liked to see more offense out of him, but the 49ers' defense took the pressure off.  There was no reason to take risks, not with a big lead run up by points off of turnovers.Like Juan said, I think the next few weeks will be bigger tests, but this game against the Cowboys was a good one for Kap.

2015 NFL Season: Can the Cowboys make a run for the Super Bowl in 2015? Are they now legitimate contenders?

Yes - they were a playoff team last year and they just got better through the draft. Last year they had arguably the best offensive line in football and they just added a first round talent for free by picking up Collins as a UDFA. I am not in the Adrian Peterson bandwagon and I think they made the right choice in avoiding a bidding war for DeMarco Murray. We don't need an all pro runner to run behind this line to be successful. The key this year - which was ultimately the glaring weakness of last year - will be the pass rush. We couldn't get to the quarterback last year. Aaron Rodgers could have been sitting in a recliner in the pocket during that playoff game. DeMarcus Lawrence was drafted last year to rush and started coming in late in the year. We just got one of the best rushers in the draft for a bargain in the second round in Gregory. We signed Hardy in the off season but he will be out for ten games before he can make an impact - coming in fresh just in time for crunch time and the playoffs. An improved rush will improve the secondary - but we just got better there too with the addition of true first rounder Byron Jones - the "senator".  We also get Sean Lee back in the linebacker core - pray he doesn't get injured again. Some may doubt Romo's track record, but he in no way was the weakness last year and he does not have to be the hero as often with the offensive line and running game pumping. If it wasn't for "the catch that wasn't" against Green Bay, we might've been the Super Bowl contender last year.

Can anyone predict this NFL Season playoff contenders, the AFC and the NFC? But discarding the Patriots.

AFC-1.Pittsburgh Steelers- As the Patriots no longer exist, I predict the Steelers to have the best record in the AFC behind a Brown/Bell and a good team overall.2. Oakland Raiders- I think the Raiders are better than the Steelers, but will have 1 less win due to schedule strength, Derrick Carr should be an MVP Canidate3. Tennessee Titans- The Titans should win the AFC South behind an easy(mostly) schedule for the last half of the year, a (prediction) improved Mariota/Henry(with Murray still preforming), and a talented O-line.4. Miami Dolphins-In this now-patriotless AFC East division, Miami, even with cutler, wins mostly due to the only competition being the Bills and the Jets5. Denver Broncos- Defense may not win the Broncos a championship, but with the Chiefs preforming worse, the Broncos take a wildcard spot6. Indianapolis Colts-Andrew Luck leads a slightly improved Colts team, which finishes with a matching slightly improved record, which gets them into the playoffsAFC Champion:RaidersNFC(I’ll admit I know less about)1.Green Bay Packers-Aaron Rodgers has an MVP-candidate year, and the supporting cast performs well also, giving Green Bay the NFCs top spot2.Seattle Seahawks-Seattle keeps doing what they've been doing and they get the 2nd seed.3.New York Giants-After the Cowboys fail to repeat a 13–3 like season(see 5th) Eli Manning leads the Giants to a division title with OBJ and the new addition of Brandon Marshall.4-Atlanta Falcons- The Falcons put SB 51 behind them, have a solid year, and win the NFC South5-Dallas Cowboys-The Cowboys will lose Zeke for 6 games, and lost some defenders(which was already the weakness of the team) The Cowboys won't be a top contender, but still have enough talent to make the playoffs6.-Tampa Bay Buccaneers-Beating the Panthers on a tiebreaker, Jameis Winston and his new receiving threats, plus some solid defenders, make the playoffs with a wildcard spotNFC Champion:PackersSB Champion:Packers-More Experince/better QB
