Who Would Like To Join A Verbling Google Hangout To Speak Spanish

Is there a good language learning tool?

My preferred learning language "tool" is a podcast or some other interesting audio material.I try to listen to as much of the language as I can, and I do that in several different ways, like watching movies, YouTube videos, and listening to music, but I really like podcasts because they are usually short (10-15 minutes), interesting, and full of great vocabulary within a meaningful context. I list to them over and over again. When my language level improves, I go to real content, like podcasts from French radio stations or Spanish radio stations that revolve around a specific topic, like interviewing actors and writers (e.g. Jour de Fred). I also like to use programs that use the TPRS (Teaching Proficiency through Reading and Storytelling) method, like Learn how to speak Spanish TODAY!Some of the other answers are good, but I find that I'd rather just turn on a podcast and listen to something for five minutes, rather than review flashcards or Anki cards. I like DuoLingo sometimes as well, but mostly I prefer to listen to interesting content. I like to read along with a transcript as well, if I have time, but often I just listen because it is too much of a hassle to open a PDF.I create podcasts for English learners and programs using the TPRS method on my website because that's what I like to use and what I want in the languages that I am learning.  --- English Fluency Now

What are some best websites to learn English interactively?

It's good to clarify that 'interactive' means that you will be actively participating, not just watching videos.   If you are using that definition of 'interactive' then you are pursuing the best way to learn English.  Watching videos can be helpful in learning English.  But, I would not classify it as 'interactive'.  I suppose if you are watching a video and being asked to repeat what is said in the video, or respond to it, it's somewhat interactive.  But, it's low level, to be sure.  An app like Duolingo can also be called interactive.  You are using your memory and pressing buttons.  But, again, it's pretty low level.  In my professional opinion, nothing is more interactive than speaking with someone in English or corresponding with someone in writing.  These are the ultimate.  I haven't used Verbling but it sounds like a good option.  Also, using a website that helps you meet a language partner will be valuable. On google, languagepracticehangouts.com seems like a good place to start. I run google hangouts a couple of times a week for professionals.  Most of the people that participate work in tech sectors.  The pupose of the hangouts is to give people a chance to speak and network with other professionals interested in improving their English level for professional purposes.  If this sounds appropriate to you, you're more than welcome to join us.
