Why Am I Not Getting Paid From Ebay

When do you get paid if you sell an item on eBay?

Usually immediately. When you sent an invoice (if there is a shipping calculation that eBay can't do for you - like combined shipping which is multiple items). Ebay ‘s system prompts you to set up shipping and payment preferences when you list. Most sellers - when it comes to a straight out sale (or auction) request payment on 3–7 days. For some sales - like if it has a reserve will require immediate payment. However, this doesn’t apply to checks - if anyone uses that method, rather than Paypal or credit cards.

Can I get sued for not paying for an ebay auction I won "the item was only 20 dollars"? Looking for legal info

I feel the seller was somewhat deceptive; I probably should have paid more attention though. The seller is threatening to sue and attempt to get legal fees and everything else says i commited fraud. I am looking for a website that talks about legal issues with ebay of if any attorneys are paying attention that would be helpful. I wasn't to worried but I actually think this guy might try and sue me. Any info on legal precedent for this type of thing would help also.

However, is there an another way I can find out wheter her payment is really going to my bank ? I just don't want lose money but it is okay I can wait for 7 days of pending. That is the reason I ship too soon.

HOW DO I KNOW IF HER PAYMENT GOING BE FOR REAL? NOT FAKE?

Why do I have to pay for eBay or PayPal shipping labels?

You are paying for the postage. eBay does not charge a fee for this service in the US. If you are paying $6 for one label, that sounds like a Priority Mail rate. It could also be a First Class package rate with insurance added on. Generally, you are getting the commercial e-rate, which is the best rate you are going to get. The lowest package rate with tracking that you can possibly get in the US costs $2.60. Without more information about the charge I cannot speculate any further. As far as saving money on shipping, there are lots of ways. First, always know the best way to ship an item before you list. Weight it and think about how you would ship it. Quote the shipping costs at USPS and UPS/Fed Ex. Generally anything less than 4lbs is better to use the postal system but always quote it. When calculating weight remember to include an amount for the box (unless flat rate) or envelope. Also keep in mind to use the best packing material for saving on shipping cost. I generally use poly bubble mailers as they are light and inexpensive (don’t buy at OfficeMax, order online). Do not use Priority Mail unless the weight makes it necessary or they paid for Priority Shipping. It really isn’t that much faster (it is often the same as first class) but is more expensive. It does include about $100 of insurance though.Speaking of insurance, decide whether it is really worth it. USPS insurance is expensive. There are other insurance providers but that requires a lot more work if you are going to use eBay’s shipping. I ship 500–1000 packages each week. I have very few lost packages. My frequency of lost packages is way below 1%. I only insure those that are over $100 or so. Keep in mind if you are using Priority Mail that $100 of insurance is included. This is what I am comfortable with. I take few losses every year - it is a cost of doing business for me. Most of that is overseas shipping - that’s a whole different subject. You need to decide what you are comfortable with. If most of your items are relatively low value, say $20, figure a 1% lost package. So if you ship 100 packages a year, you are going to lose about $20 * 100 * .01=$20 per year. Your mileage may vary.Hope this information was helpful.

What happens if I don't pay on EBAY after winning? ?

After bidding, I looked more closely at the seller. I'm a little nervous now. I know I should have paid attention before I placed the bid but its done. Seller has no previous history and no refund policy and I'm getting a big sketch factor from them. I don't want to destroy my perfect ebay record but don't want to spend months disputing my purchase. Are there any loopholes of getting out before auction is over? Thanks!

Why does eBay make you pay for an item before it has shipped, unlike Amazon?

Actually, Amazon charges your credit card before the item is shipped to you. Check your credit card billing and you'll see that Amazon's charge occurs just before the item leaves their warehouse. Because Amazon's shipping times are often relatively short compared to other retailers, especially if you use Prime, it may appear that you haven't yet been charged, but you have.In reality, unless you're purchasing through a retailer's own loan/credit plan, almost no retailer would ship an item before charging for it. How else can they be assured of being paid if they didn't?

How long does an eBay seller have to ship an item once paid?

File a complaint before it gets to far. You 2 can resolve it this way and it will get the sellers attention. If you wait too long, you won't be able to get your money back! Trust me I have been with ebay for 7 years.

What is the worst thing that can happen, if I don't pay eBay for something I was committed to buy?

If you didn’t pay for an item, the Seller didn’t send the item, correct? What happens in that situation is that the Seller can file a Non-Payment dispute on eBay. eBay will prompt you to pay for the thing you won or used Buy-it-Now to commit to purchase. If you don’t pay, after a couple of days the Seller can close the dispute in their favor and get a refund of the fees they were charged by eBay.Sellers can not leave negative feedback for buyers. They used to be able to but eBay changed that years ago. However, that non-payment dispute is noted on your eBay account. Sellers can set bidding/buying restrictions when they create a listing to prohibit Buyers with non-payment histories from placing bids or making purchases. If non-payment becomes a habit, eBay may permanently suspend the Buyer’s account. You want to be careful that you don’t commit to buy if you don’t mean it.The Seller is not going to file with a collection agency for a simple non-payment. Besides, a collection agency doesn’t come to your door or take your stuff. That only happens in the case of legal repossessions for specific purposes. If you don’t have the Seller’s item, you have nothing to repossess. (If you do have the item, return it immediately.)
