Why do teens use words such as SWAG and YOLO?
Teens have ALWAYS used their own slang. Look here for examples of 60's Slang.Humans like to belong to the "in" group - and teens especially do. Knowing and using these words mark you as one of the group. Teen slang sometimes becomes accepted vocabulary for the general population and sometimes it just fades away. Ok, so like my parents are mad that I have D's and one F. I tell them who cares. Grades don't get you anything other than being picked on. What you need is SWAG. SWAG gets you everything and everywhere. Why do you think SWAG gets a cool bro 5 girls. Cuz he has SWAG. Why do you think those girls like the cool bro. Cuz they got SWAG. Why do companies give out swag at events?
Swag or promotional merchandise is the best way to promote your business, It is way too cheaper and easier form of advertising than traditional advertising like TV commercials. These items can range from simple pens to t-shirts with company's logo. But every time the consumer uses your promotional products He/She may remember your brand just by looking at the item. Promoting business with the use of swag items is a best way for product marketing.

I was invited to this party, but I am not much a partier myself, and on the invitation it makes mention that all attendees MUST have their swag turned on or they will be left at the door.
