Why is being anti-male called feminism?
"Why is being anti-male called feminism?" Because all other feminists, including self-proclaimed feminists, will not challenge the anti-male prominent feminists that define feminism through their public statements and actions that are clearly anti-male. It couldn't be any clearer than this. Feminists DO NOT call out their own sisters that shamelessly push man-hating as feminism. As such, feminism becomes synonymous with man-hating. There has never been a prominent feminist in the mainstream feminist movement that has ever been removed from prominence for her misandrist actions in the entire history of the feminist movement. Yet EQUITY feminists ( .... the one's that actually believe in equality) have been ostracized and kicked out of the movement by the misandrist gender feminists for not going along with the movements direction into accepted misandry. Equity feminists today are called "anti-feminists". This one action alone speaks volumes about the true intentions of the feminist movement today.
Anti-feminist women: Why are you against feminism?
At one time I might have identified as anti-feminist but that was an extreme and angry reaction to certain excesses of feminism. I grew up with both mother and father identifying as feminist. (I still share their values.) But I had been drawn into radical feminism in college. I partly attribute this to going to a "party school" (University of Miami) where date rape and sexism were rampant. That tends to create a more extreme feminism in response. However, I became very disenchanted with many of my feminist "friends" when my brother had been accused of domestic violence. He actually spent a weekend in jail. But medical testimony proved that he couldn't have done some of the things he was accused of. In fact, it came out that he had been an ongoing victim of abuse, susceptible to it because of that condition (Becker's Muscular Dystrophy) But when he was accused and I defended him, several of my "friends" considered me a traitor, accused me of being in denial, or being naive, of placing family above women's rights. I went too far the other way in rejecting most anything feminist. And most feminists are not like these "friends". I think I now see things much more even-handedly.
Why do anti-feminists vehemently hate feminism?
Tell you what. Rather than me asserting ANYTHING, why don't YOU list and prove the official tenets of feminism? Then show me what feminists are doing to push back against people who try to add to those official tenets. So if you say "Feminism is just the idea that men and women should be equal!" I can ask you what you've done to push back against the idea of 'rape culture' which RAINN thinks is silly and which a giant fuckton of feminists say is real. Oh, and if you must know, I'm an anti-feminist b/c I listened to a whole lot of YouTube feminists and several things ran through most of their videos. One of those things was misandry. Another was having really bad arguments for their position. As for it not being just for white women, FEMINISTS are the ones saying there's a problem with 'white feminism'. TERF. The new feminist Ghostbusters movie is being accused of being racist. Ditto for Mad Max. I could go on and on and on but, again, why don't YOU prove YOUR case. YOU list the official tenets of feminism, prove them and show me what feminists are doing to keep their ideology 'pure' (in the sense of not having a bunch of BS attached to it). Any excuses on your part will mean that, once again, a feminist is showing me why I have chosen to oppose feminism. Also, if you think you can lay the smack down on Milo or Karen or Thunderfoot, why not step up and show us what you've got? You've got this forum. It's not hard to make a YouTube account. Hell, I did it. Or link us these vids that you think have already done the job. You think Milo is 'self loathing'? Seems to me like he has self esteem flyin' out the wazoo. I think what's really happening here is just that you're another closed minded progressive or feminist who thinks that all it takes to be 'open minded' is to just agree with whatever other lefties are saying. Frankly, I think that that's the kind of behavior that leads to some truly awful things. You lot like to say 'right side of history'. If your go to response is to demonize people and just assume you're right, I'm betting you could wind up on the 'wrong side of history' real F'ing easy.
Feminists: Do you view anti-feminist women as being "traitors"?
to be clear a lot of women you admit do claim to be antifeminist and label themselves as being feminist i think you should leave the labeling of groups to the groups in question otherwise you are just as guilty as any women who gave a motivation for a mans behavior when the man described why he had that motivation if these in your opinion so called antifeminst call themselves feminist who are we being males to doubt them ? in fact you are making it harder for these women who should be called equity feminist to work . By labeling them as antifeminist your cutting the v@gina lips off them just like any man who has been verbaly c@strated by women . So to be clear who are you to label these women ? Why are you ascribing motivations to these women ? These equity feminist probably know that a lot of gender feminism has "Ralph Nadered" there support . in my opinion there is nothing wrong with equity feminism these women who are equity feminist are doing one thing right THEY ARE SELF POLICING THERE OWN GENDER so please do not label equity feminist as antifeminist lest i am going to laugh my fracken @ss off when a women states your motivation for a behavior
