Why Are Individuals Racistly Suggesting That Obama Won

Why am I called a racist when I criticize Obama policies? I am a Democrat and voted for Obama!

Because Democrats engage in what is known as identity politics . That means a person is categorized in a group and given an emotional label. The label for criticizing Obama is racist. Even if what you criticize has nothing to do with race. The pigeon hole for someone who dares to criticize Obama is racist. If one criticized Hillary one was deemed a sexist in identity politics Even if the criticism had nothing to do with her gender. The pigeon hole for someone who dares to criticize Hillary is sexist. If one is white, one is deemed to be privileged, even if one was born in public housing with a drug addicted mother and a father in jail. If one is white the pigeon hole is one is privileged and should be ashamed of the color of your skin.If one expresses concern over Islamic terrorism, even immediately after one of the US’s now annual large terrorism events, one is deemed to be Islamophobic for even mentioning being concerned. The point of identity politics is to make people feel shame and humiliation if they disagree with the policies and political ideas of the Democrat Party or the left or the progressives. The worse they can make you feel about yourself if you disagree with their philosophy or ideas, they feel the more likely you are to vote for them, and the less people hear different ideas and philosophies other than the ones they want you to hear. The answer is: It is a political tactic designed to humiliate and shame anyone who disagrees with the Democrat Party in order to suppress speech and thought that may disagree with their philosophy and ideas.

Where were all these racist right-wingers during Obama’s time?

Your identification of racism with the right wing strikes me as unclear thinking, and even as unfair. I suggest that most people on the normal spectrum from left wing to centrist to right wing are by no means racist, and that most racists are not even on that normal spectrum. Not everyone is a anywhere on the standard normal political spectrum. In any case racism is an abnormal phenomenon, outside the standard spectrum. Please at least think about this for a moment or two. I am sure that you do not want to call anyone racist who is not racist. That would be unkind and unfair, I suggest . Sometimes we can get used to a certain way of thinking without stopping to consider if it fair or accurate. But this kind of thinking can lead to saying things which we have not thought through .

Did Obama call Hillary Clinton racist in 2008?

Obama never called Hillary a racist. However blacks did interpret something Bill Clinton said as racist. Its something in the vein of a ‘fairy tale’ that Bill said. That was kind of the beginning of the end , as far as the black leadership were concerned. Up to that moment they were behind Clinton. Then they started to move towards Barack.Bill knew it was over when even John Lewis moved away. He was in tears, because he didn’t even mean anything racial but it was read as such.So no Obama never used the race card. He was careful not to go that way.But there were people just looking for anything that would suggest race, considering the race of the candidates. The incident that moved me away from Clinton towards Obama was when Hillary played the muslim card. She was asked if she thought Obama was a muslim and she answered, “well he says he’s not’, or something to that effect. Not exactly a ringing endorsement. I backed Obama after that. I think that is the same thing that moved Ted Kennedy away from Clinton..

Why does the right call Obama a racist for siding against the police in racial conflicts? Isn’t that false equivalence of white privilege?

In October 2001 I came home from a three-week long business trip to find someone had broken into my home. I called the Sheriff’s department (I lived well outside city police jurisdiction) and two deputies…probably the only two on duty that time of night on a weeknight…arrived in separate cars. When they met me on my driveway I was told to stay outside with one deputy while the other went into the house to be sure it was empty. They asked for my id to verify I lived there. I already knew it was empty as I’d gone through the house myself. That was standard procedure. I’m a white guy.Jump forward, not long into President Obama’s first term, and a college professor by the name of Gates was asked to remain outside his house while one officer searched his home to verify it was empty. He objected and shouted racism.President Obama, being the clueless ass he is, sided with Professor Gates and said “The police acted stupidly.”That showed him to be a racist, one ignorant of and not the least bit interested in the facts.

Why are conservatives vilified for disagreeing with Obama?

People daren't dislike Obama's policies, actions, or words. Do it, and you're stigmatized as a racist. Those who would be so swift to judge conservatives do so in order to vilify them. They make cons look like the bad guy just because they disagree with Obama and his actions. Like cowards, those who dislike conservatives attempt to make them look badly.

Is that really an effective way to promote peace? Does it do any good? Does it solve any problems in society? Or does it push us even further apart? Is this bullying tactic acceptable? Explain.

Are you glad President Obama finally kicked that racist McChrystal out of command?

Obama's decision to fire McChrystal may prove both unwise and costly. Had Obama, instead of firing McChrystal, told him to shut up, can the interviews and go back to fighting the war until the December review of strategy, he could have shown those soldiers he is a bigger man than they or McChrystal's team give him credit for.

Obama and his party may be celebrating his cashiering of Gen. McChrystal as a macho moment, but by firing the fighting general, for his foolish remarks, Obama has deepened the gulf between his party and the U.S. military.

Among the people who are likely to be most disappointed with the Obama administration are those who thought it would usher in a post-racial society. That they wished for such a society is a credit to their values. But that they actually expected a move in that direction suggests that they ignored both Barack Obama's history and the heavy vested interest that too many people have in race hustling.

Whether Barack Obama is simply incompetent as President or has some hidden agenda to undermine this country, at home and abroad, he has nearly everything he needs to ruin America, including a fool for a Vice President. o_O

What are the justifications people have for insisting the Obamas are racist?

What are the justifications people have for insisting the Obamas are racist? What they likely saw was the clear evidence of BIAS in several (many?) cases which might be exaggerated as ‘racist’ but would at least require a lot more careful defense. It’s very popular for the left to throw the term racist around, even with zero evidence or based on gross distortion and misunderstanding of the meaning of the term.No one should do that. Not on the right, and not on the left. It’s one of the most pernicious and damaging diseases of radical politics.Obama was way to quick to give encouragement to an issue brought by a minority BEFORE the facts were in. (Cambridge, Ferguson, Trevon Martin).Even if you don’t know that all these and others turned out NOT to be racist or criminal attacks by police etc., there was NO BASIS to rush to judgement and put the weight of Presidential opinion on either side. That proved Obama FOOLISH and BIASED, and he missed opportunities to heal racist divides and instead exacerbated them.It didn’t make him (necessarily) racist — but it was a great disservice to the country and especially to minority Americans who joined the wrong side of the issue due to his influence.

Why is Donald Trump so intimidated by Obama?

I have a difficult time refraining from vandalizing an obvious “trash Trump” thread like this one.The obvious answer is there is no evidence that suggests Obama intimidates anyone. Evidence suggests the only people Obama wanted to intimidate were nuns who did not want to pay for universal birth control. In fact, Obama obviously emboldened our enemies Russia, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Cuba, Lebanon and Yemen etc.We The People elected Trump to unscrew the problems caused by Obama's poor decisions. He needs more time but President Trump is so far doing a great job draining the swamp.

Why do liberals always call those who disagree with Obamas policies, racists?

I agree. Some Obama supporters have long regarded any criticism of him as racism. But that they should have to resort to such a banner to bolster their case shows how desperate they are for any evidence.

Among people who voted for Barack Obama in 2008, those who are likely to be most disappointed are those who thought that they were voting for a new post-racial era. There was absolutely nothing in Obama's past to lead to any such expectation, and much to suggest the exact opposite. But the man's rhetoric and demeanor during the election campaign enabled this and many other illusions to flourish.

Still, it was an honest mistake of the kind that decent people have often made when dealing with people whose agendas are not constrained by decency, but only by what they think they can get away with.

On race, as on other issues, different people have radically different views of Barack Obama, depending on whether they judge him by what he says or by what he does.

As Obama's own books point out, he has for years cultivated a talent for saying things that people will find congenial.

There is not now, nor has there ever been, anything post-racial about Barack Obama, except for the people who voted for him in the mistaken belief that he shared their desire to be post-racial. When he leaves office, after one term, he will leave this country more racially polarized than before.

Hopefully, he may also leave the voters wiser, though sadder, after they learn from painful experience that you can't judge politicians by their rhetoric, or ignore their past because of your hopes for the future. Voters may even wise up to race card fraud. o_O

Why do people suggest Michelle Obama looks like a gorilla?

I'm a Democrat but I don't find Michelle Obama to be an attractive woman EXCEPT when she is in a ballgown and then she is simply stunning. I do not like her style of clothing. I do not like that she wears so many casual dresses (and sleeveless ones at that) and I hate those god-awful prints. I think that her shoulders are too broad and her mouth/bite is weird. I do not like the dress/cardigan sweater look on a First Lady. I prefer and believe that the First Lady should dress conservatively - I think Hilary Clinton has a better sense of propriety than Michelle Obama and that's saying something. I was embarrassed for America by that dress and cardigan she wore when she greeted Queen Elizabeth. Pretty sure Michelle was trying to convey a message but I happen to think it was the wrong one. I do not understand why so many fashion magazines rave about her style - just how many people do you see emulating it? No one. She doesn't even begin to compare to Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis who truly did change what women not only wore but how they wore their hair (although I understand many women are now wearing bangs because of her most recent hairstyle).

I could care less what Republicans think of her - I am just not a fan of hers. However anyone who refers to her as a gorilla should be ashamed of themselves; they are comparing her to a gorilla for no other reason than she is black. I like and admire her husband whom I voted for.
