Why Are My Abs Sore From This

Sore abs after vomiting?

Two days ago some friends and I started drinking and it didn't occur to me that it was a bad idea considering I had recently taken an antihistamine. After about four drinks I began vomiting. By the morning I was mostly fine, I wasn't even hungover. But ever since then my abs feels sore when I bend or breathe in deeply. I'm thinking that I just gagged so strongly that I strained the muscles around that area but I'm not sure whether I should go see a doctor or not. I can walk fine. It feels similar to being constipated or having gas in some ways. It also kind of feels the same as how your stomach feels the day after doing a lot of sit-ups.
I would really appreciate any advice. Even just to put my mind at ease.

Why are my abs sore in the mornings?

Just curious if anyone can help me figure out why I get sore abs in the mornings. I don't do any exercises the day or night before so it can't be from a good work out. Though the soreness is equivalent to the soreness you'd feel if you had an inteness work out session. I have gained a little weight maybe 5lbs, at my job I lift heavy boxes and clean a lot like with mops and deck brushes (kitchens are dirty floors lol) also always on my feet. Its not every morning my abs hurt and the pain goes away a few minutes after I get up from bed and move around. This has been going on for a while now maybe about 3 months. Sucking in or sticking my stomach out doesn't effect the pain, only moving my stomach in certain positions does it effect the pain. I'm also known for sleeping in weird positions and constantly tossing and turning. I'm sexually active if that helps at all or effects the answer. Thanks!

My Abs Are Not Sore The Next Day. Why?

I workout my abs every other day with this workout: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9tDZRogSbbU

I don't get sore the next day anymore, and I don't even have any abs popping out. Is this normal?

(My body fat is 7%)

Should I avoid running when my abs are sore?

Hello...nope! IF, you feel pain within your midsection, while jogging /running. Cease /stop the activity. The 'stomach muscles' plays a small part of the running /jogging exercise. What is involved in the running /jooging enviroment, is the leg musles. There is hardly any midsection muscles involvement. Otherwise.Keep on truckin'...& good luck, in the future!!

Why do my abs hurt from working out?

Well obviously when you work out, the lactic acid will build in your muscles, making them being painful to move. Also when you work out, your core or abs are usually the most used muscle, and this creates micro tears in the muscle which inhibits growth. So mainly it depends on what body part you are using when you work out, but mostly your abs will hurt if you work somewhere in the chest or ab area.

Why do my abs hurt from walking?

A lot of people don't realize how important your core is to you during everday activity. Your abs and lower back muscles play a huge role in keeping you sitting up straight and keeping your posture when you are standing so you are not bent over or tilting sideways. When you walk you are moving your body in a fluid motion, which to do this and not fall over you need added help from your core area to balance your strides and arm swings from leg to leg to move in a forward motion, i.e. walking in a straight line.

Also, try stretching your hamstrings and hip flexors, as these muscles can put extra stress on the abs and lower back if tight. Stretching and strengthening lower back and abs will be beneficial as well. You probably have weak muscles in these areas. Try adding some crutches and superman exercises (google it if you don't know what I mean) to your routine.

Hope this helps!

My abs are sore after doing pushups?

Sore muscles are a sign of successful training. Keep it up, when the pain disappears, add to the resistance, that's how you BUILD muscles.

Expand your exercise varieties, or else you will walk around with a body out of Symmetry, massive abs, underdeveloped the remainder.

How can i poop when my abs hurt?

I do like 100 situps and crunches a day, I have never had it hurt going to the bathroom, are you okay? You should go see a doctor. One thing has nothing to do with the other, unless you over did it and pulled a muscle?

Good ways to help yourself go #2...drink lots of water, eat whole grains (cereals like Frosted Mini Wheats, Cheerios, Raisin Bran), fiber, and proteins.

Why are my abs and intercostal muscles so sore after running?

Yes, most likely you overdid did it, and weren't physically prepared for it (get fit to run, don't run to get fit). My internet diagnosis is you have a weak core. When you run, there are opposing forces going through your core. If think about your action, your left leg lifts, while your right arm lifts. Your core is fighting against twisting called anti-rotation. Have a look at a clip of an elite runner (Bolt, Johnson, Jones etc.) and you will see their torso hardly moves at all, despite the speed they're running. Now watch a recreational runner jogger around the block and you will probably see a lot of torso rotation and probably their arms moving across their body, left and right, not forward and back in the direction they want to go. This is what we call “leaking power” and creates very poor efficiency and running economy.
