Why are people these days so wimpy and sensitive?
I was also born in '78, and it's true that bullying was not considered an issue at all. Teachers almost never intervened, and sometimes bullied the kids as well. However, it is NOT true that no one died by suicide because of it. I personally know someone who did, and no one seemed surprised. I think it was just not discussed in the past. A little farther back in the past, you'd rarely hear that someone had died by suicide at all. There was such a stigma surrounding suicide that families would make up some other excuse to print in the obituary and no one but the coroner and immediate family knew that the death was a suicide. I think the reason that there is much more attention on it now in society and media is probably because many of the people who were bullied in our generation and those slightly before us grew up to be very successful and influential people. Around the late nineties and 2000's, technology was booming and it started to become "cool" to be a nerd. Then the people who had been bullied started to actually talk about their experiences rather than hide it as a shameful secret. When we were kids there was definitely a "blame the victim" attitude surrounding bullying. If you told people you were being bullied, you'd be told to toughen up and get over it, or you'd be asked what you did to make the bully bully you. I think the attitude of today is preferable.

so in class today some friends of mine and i were joking when this gay femnazi girl in my class got offended and told the teacher first of all no crude words said and secondly she was in the back of the class and i was not talking to her. she needs to mind her own business, stupid noisy person. i was just talking about a gay joke a comedian i saw on tv made. all my friends laughed it was funny. Why do gay people think that just cause there gay i have to be sensitive to them. please get over it and have a little backbone. im adhd and dyslexic and have had people make fun of me for years but guess what i dont cry like a 5 year old about it i strug it off and move on. life is hard people and not fair so guess what gay people learn to be tough. i cant be believe how backward this country is now im getting detention all cause miss nosey cant learn to bug off. i find it hard to believe this is the same country of that won ww2. what a little generation of wussies we are now.

Why are people so sensitive to everything nowadays?
Tomorrow is Halloween and I have to watch what I wear and keep thinking about people’s cultural and social standpoints what happened to things just being a joke or being fun? I thought about wearing a trump mask but everybody was just going to offended and cry, those masks are being made to be funny no harm intended. I am a black man, I’ve seen people dress as kkk members for Halloween I took no offense to it and just laughed it off. Why are people so sensitive, why should I watch what I wear on Halloween when it’s supposed to just be fun day where you dress up as somebody else. It’s just like the Kendall Jenner Pepsi ad, I didn’t see anything offensive about it, I feel like people overact to everything. I wrote an essay on the ad and I asked why were people so butt hurt over some soda ad with a celebrity in it. It became such a social justice debate for no reason at all. I feel like I live in a generation and world full of crybabies.

Either they or many other people they know seem to careabout the most trivial thingsok?Also issues with products, the fact that organically also have gmo, the fact that gmo has caused more allergies, the fact that beauty products aren't all natural and that whether you believe in global warming or not, you better know pollution is fucking real or you may be a nitwitmore people having sex and babies, germs everywhere, issues with cleanliness, more babies with disease and disorders,if you believe making one meme on the internet can get you killed, well in reality it shouldn't but there are crazy sensitive fuckers out there (could be issues form childhood or abuse or issues with relationships and circumstances)those are the physical and mental aspectsalso, some dumbasses believe one ignorant statement makes the whole person ignorant (which is the cause of bullying and internet trolls) they are biased only searching for confirmation bias and are making stereotypes and don't realize they are judging people

It's not so much that people have changed. People have always been opinionated. It's just that many of those who wish to opine and challenge the opinions of others now have a medium through which they can do so. Many believe they can say whatever they want with impunity. Politeness and civility have taken a back seat to confrontation because we don't actually face those we confront.

Many people who previously felt alone and frightened in their condition of being bullied, harassed, intimidated, marginalized, ostracized, blamed for society’s problems, blamed for white men not being able to find work or make a decent living, have finally connected to each-other over social media.They shared their stores of being abused, and they have finally learned that they are not alone, and that what is happening to them is wrong. amoral, cruel and criminal.They’re gathering together and finally speaking up. The bully’s response is to criticize them for being overly sensitive, or being a “snowflake.”The ruling elite maintains power over the masses by pitting them against each-other in competition for the table scraps of the rich. Left versus right, white versus black, men versus women, citizens against immigrants, ethnicity versus another ethnicity.It’s time to stop looking and pointing at your neighbor and start asking yourself who told you to feel the way you do about your neighbor who’s a little different.
