Are the Log cabin republicans hypocrites?
From what I've heard LGBT people who are republicans are in the enemy camp to watch over what is happening, to keep tabs on their nonsense. It always boggles my mind that a gay person would want to be known for the republican political leanings.
So Republicans claim not to be hypocrites?

Why are Republicans such hypocrites?
First of all they are attacking women's rights and trying to get in between a woman and her doctor. If that isn't big government intruding I don't know what that is. Then these red states keep passing all these useless anti-sharia laws out of fear of Islams fundamentalism. http://www.theatlanticwire.com/national/... Not only that, you have people like Michele Bachman defending the NASA domestic spying program. Even going as far as to say that they were not collecting our data. Which we know they are. But to get to the point, why is it that the right seem so intent on giving the banks and the corporations free reign to do whatever they want? Why is it they they blatantly refuse to lift a finger to help ANYONE if they don't have millions of dollars in campaign contributions? Why do republicans want to remove all the regulations placed on Wall street and their corporate donors, yet want more regulations placed on the average citizen (Like Ken Cuccinelli's anti-sodomy law for example that also bans oral sex)? Do they despise any government safety net programs that Americans are forced te rely upon? What is their problem?..They tell people on the left to enforce the laws we already have instead of making new ones, yet they want to keep adding more and more money to border security. Not to mention the Stand your Ground laws they keep passing. Aren't the self defense laws adequate enough? Cut government spending, yeah right. XD In all seriousness though, how can you republicans say one thing but then do something else? Is there anything you have to say that justify your actions?
How can Republicans be so blind to their obvious hypocrisy?
Many Republicans I know are effectively single-issue voters. They could care less what Trump and Paul Ryan are up to, they may even openly disapprove of the GOP leadership. Yet they feel obligated to vote Republican because their stances on the 1–3 issue(s) that are most important to them are clearly aligned with the GOP platform.Although the USA faces many important issues, not everybody has the will or intellectual capacity to make a decision based on many complex factors. So they boil down their voting choices to whatever gets them the most fired up to go out and vote.For example, my childhood neighbor owned 50+ firearms. He always voted Republican because of the GOPs desire for expanded gun rights & conceal carry permits, nothing else came into serious consideration. Many Republican voters do the same thing but base their choice on abortion, taxes/regulations (or lack thereof), opposition to welfare, Supreme Court etc.Conversely, I know some leftist single-issue voters as well. A friend of mine grew up with his dad in prison for what many people would consider an excessively harsh sentence due to the War on Drugs. His vote is based entirely off sentencing reform and drug legalization/decriminalization, so he voted Green in 2016. He was opposed to Hillary’s candidacy due to her GOP-lite stance on marijuana legalization that he perceived as being influenced by her donors in the pharmaceutical industry.Another friend of mine also voted for Jill Stein the past 2 elections because he thinks climate change is the most important problem facing the world, and that Hillary was too friendly with oil & gas companies.So the problem of single-issue voters definitely goes both ways, and ideological purism hurts us all in the long run.
What makes Republicans and Democrats hypocrites?
They (we) are hypocrites because we are human. As Jesus said, “Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye?” It is easy to criticize others, but find all sorts of justifications for doing something very similar yourself. With politics this tendency is magnified a million-fold.I don't think hypocrisy is the worst sin in politics. It has always been omnipresent in human affairs. Being driven to violence is the worst thing a political movement can do.
How were Puritans hypocrites?
The Puritans were hypocrites in the sense that they followed the Bible and preached the Bible, yet they completely ignored some vital points. The Bible preaches forgiveness and love, two of the most constantly used concepts in the book. Yet the Puritans were very strict, and quick to judge and deal out punishment.
