Why Cant I Sign Up For A Pro Fantasy Football League I Live In Colorado

Why is going to a baseball game fun?

It's never over, there's no clock and a team can come back from the biggest defecit no matter what time it is in the game. It's played outside, in the sun.  Who wants to sit inside or in the cold?  Also playing field dimensions are different from place to place. The game can be taken at so many levels (I think this is true for most sports).  I mean you can just watch the game, talk with a friend and wait for the big thing (strikeout, home run, great catch).  Or you can score the game and track the pitch count and whos' done what.  Or you can watch the strategy of the game and see how the fielders adjust their position based on who's hitting and what the pitcher throws. The game can turn on a dime.  One home run can change the course on the game in literally a few seconds at most times during most games. It's got history and stats that allow you to discuss and argue for as long as you want with fans of all ages.

What do Africans think of the perceived immigration crisis in Europe?

Honestly, I think it's a sad and sensitive issue. Roughly, one of every six migrants who set out in traffickers’ unseaworthy boats from Libya perished at sea last month (june, 2018). The UN refugee agency reports that one in every 19 migrants setting out at sea from Libya died. This really brings shame to me. Many of the migrants are fleeing war and poverty from their homeland countries. Africa is made up of 54 countries and not every part of Africa faces problems to do with war or poverty. The question I usually ask my self is why they don't immigrate to other stable African countries if they are really desperate for a better life. I believe that the main problem is, As Didier point out, Many of them were trained to believe that Europe is a paradise of a land. Thanks to an Education that is very outdated from 60’s and 70’s colonial era. It is our job to change it and make it as Afrocentric as possible. Europe is too small compared to africa. They really do not know how life is in Europe. All they know is that when they arrive in Europe, they'll be received with showers of money and a luxury life they see on TV. They don’t know that Europe also has homeless people , they don’t know that Europe also has people struggling to make ends meet just like them. Why add to the number of already existing problems. We as Africans really need to change that mindset of thinking that europe is some kind of Paradise and work towards revising our education system set up during the colonial Era. Until that is changed, we'll be having problems. It really saddens me seeing my fellow brothers and sisters leaving in inhuman conditions including overcrowding, scarce rations and beatings in Libya. Detention centres, in my opinion, promote modern day slavery. People are treated like animals and receive harsh beatings like animals. Why take a such a perilous journey knowing that you are putting your own life at risk. The image you are potraying about Africa is nothing but bad. African leaders should be ashamed of themselves for failing to take care of their own people. All in all, I hope that Africa should solve it's own problem. You can not call outsider to solve your house problem. I still believe that Africa is coming up and things might change in the near future.

Why does anyone like College Football?

I find it redundant to watch when:
1) The AP poll ranks all the same programs every year, usually based on reputation not merit.
2) The same schools recruit all the best prospects(Ohio State, Florida, Texas, ect..)
3) Cheating scandals usually involving dumb jocks incapable of a decent GPA without coach paying someone do do his homework.
4) Awful marching band music, I'm pretty sure anyone playing a clarinet must be asexual.
5) Too many teams, who has time to look through college scoreboards and analyze every play by play? It also means the talent pool is far more diluted than in the pros. For every Rex Grossman in the NFL, there's gotta be like 50 in the NCAA.
6) Bowl Game sponsors are annoying! What if the Superbowl were sponsored by Brawny Paper towels?
7) Hideous uniforms, aside from looking totally amateurish with QB's wearing ankle socks and keeping sticker collections on their helmets, teams get too creative with uniforms. Maryland's unis look like Picasso designed them.
8) Those lame College chants, "Roll Tide" sounds more like instructions on a laundry machine.
9) No team is actually located anywhere, it's bad enough the NBA has franchises in Charlotte, NC and Portland, OR.

Is it possible to legally bet on sports online in the US?

Sort of!Betting, in the form you may be familiar with in Europe or Vegas, is illegal - i.e. betting on team A to beat team B. This is outlawed under the Unlawful Internet Gaming Enforcement Act (UIGEA) for online betting at the Federal level (which rules out any state level initiative) and in person betting is only permitted at the state level  in license premises - i.e. the Indian casinos, poker rooms, etc. So to bet on sports in the US, in the way that you do in the UK, you have to do in-person and at a licensed venue, such as a Vegas sports book. The only form of 'betting' that is legal (with guidelines governing what form it takes) is fantasy sports. When UIGEA was being passed, the leagues (NFL, MLB, etc.) lobbied for the bill to give fantasy sports a 'safe harbor' - the reason, fantasy sports accounts for a huge chunk of sports viewers on TV (around 27m at last count), so it made sense to give fantasy players a way to continue enjoying fantasy online. Fantasy rules are fairly simple - the game has to rely on skill rather than luck - i.e. a fantasy player with lots of knowledge of the sport will beat someone who doesnt 90% of the time. Couplethat with guidelines on how many players from each team can be in your lineup and you get the picture. So, to answer your question - yes, its is legal if you consider a game of skill, fantasy, betting!

Are salary caps in sports a good idea to create thriving sports leagues?

I think salary caps are a great idea. Think about it. If the Yankees wanted the best players they could just pay whatever to build a dominant team. Big market makes big money. If the Lakers wanted a team to build around LeBron then they would be able to do it. More revenue than the Cavs. If the Cowboys wanted to build a team around Dax AND pay Brady to win today and tomorrow Jerry Jones would spare no expense if it meant that he woild win more Super bowls. He drinks Johnny Walker Blue. Shits not cheap. So thankfully there is salary caps. Well… I only really watch football so the others do not matter to me. I'm glad the NFL has a salary cap because you have to be smart with the money you do have and just be smart. Think in the future. Great question.

Who is the strangest person you ever met in school?

The strangest person I ever met in school was a girl in 9th grade. On the day of our last final, after the exam, she walked over to me and the first thing she said was, “I’ve always wanted to know what you sound like.”I was like, “um okay now you do.”She then went on to ask me if I could help her with English grammar because she was having trouble learning it. So after school, I sat with her in the football field and started with adjectives and proverbs. The problem is she didn’t want to learn about adjectives and proverbs. The conversation accelerated to her telling me how her parents want her to be married as soon as possible and I was like why are you telling me this. Learn your adjectives, damn it.But she thought I was a great listener and counseller so she kind of became…obsessed with me.Within a month, she got a blue backpack because I had a blue backpack. She got blunt bangs and short hair because I had blunt bangs and short hair.It got out of hand. She was in another department, and during recess she would make sure she was waiting for me outside class right when I was about to leave with my friends. I learned she had domestic problems and was living in a fantasy world in her head; she needed someone to use as a template to organise her behaviour and personality. The head of discipline in charge, who was also my great physics teacher, soon noticed her strange conduct she was targeting me with and took action. She would sit with her after school to counsel her and learn about whatever was bothering her.But then she became obsessed with the teacher as well. She found the teacher’s address and requested the teacher that she teach her physics and mathematics after school. That teacher who went under training to become a counsellor and was a psychology minor was also unsettled by her demeanour and spoke to the girl’s parents who didn’t have a good relationship with the girl. They told the teacher she should counsel the girl no matter what but weren’t the least bit interested in whatever was bothering her.The teacher told me to just ignore her behaviour and after two years she finally got the message.I felt sorry for her, but I wasn’t in a position to help her in any other way than listening which got out of hand and she used to get too much graphic with the raffish details. The last I heard of her was when she was in college studying Arabic. So yeah be aware when someone wants to learn from you, because you might as well end up learning a lesson from them.
