Move farther away and respect the dad when in his presences, obey his rules when in his house. I know married people whose parents still feel odd about a man around their little girl. You didn't mention her age if she is no longer living at home then she needs to speak up on your behalf and explain exactly what this discord makes her feel. They do seem over board but remember in his eyes you are not married so he wants the best for his little girl and may think you are not it. Make sure she doesn't say you said this, tell her to use an "I" statement to reveal the extent of her feelings. She may need to talk to a counselor or pastor to help her understand her feeling and to be able to tell her dad without going into tears. A good idea would be to write it out in a letter in case she is emotional upset upon telling them in person. Remember, she loves her dad even though he is behavior makes her upset. She loves you too, if you really want a life later on with her. She may have to go see her dad alone for a while until he calms down.
