Why Did Reagan Ban The Sun From Rising In The West

Does the sun rise in the east or west?

Does the sun rise in the east or west ?Answer ::Sun neither rises in the east or in the west.It is we people who have agreed unanymously to name the directions as East, West, North and the South. The direction in which the seems to be ascending higher and higher into the sky has been named as the East whereas the sun when appears to be descending to finally say good bye to us for a night time has been name as the west. Now to your satisfaction the direction for the first half year if is the east then how the earth going on the side of other half can still remain east whereas we on the earth are positioned on just opposite side.So the term is used “ the sun rise” and “ the sun set”.If the earth rotates anticlock wise and the sun faces first east wards then we can say that North is in the direction in which the earth moves in its journey on the orbital path.If nicely observed then the North direction is always towards the sky.So we look upwards to thank God as if He is in the North direction because the north pole of the earth is always facing upwards while the south downwards. You are free to say the sunrises in the south and collect people large enough so that majority should speak your language and you will see that all had started in your way because there has to be broad base agreement to avoid confusion and there is no one the earth who likes any confusion.

Can the sun ever rise in the west on Earth?

The points of the compass are arbitrary names we as humans have used to describe the direction we see things in, or perceive them to be. The earth has swapped it’s polarity before, meaning the north pole (in terms of magnetism) has become the south. If we retain the standard NSEW nomenclature for a compass when this happens next then yes, the sun could potentially rise in the west. Indeed, it probably has done several times… have a lookIf, on the other hand, you imagine the globe would stop rotating the way it is and start rotating the other way, then whether or not this happens I doubt any human would be alive to see it, and whether or not the earth would survive it is questionable.

What happens if the sun rises from the west?

What does the word "West" mean? How is it defined? (I'm not asking how it was defined in the past; I am asking how it is defined now). The definition that I have seen is that East is defined as being the direction in which the given object is spinning. So, if the planet flipped over to spinning in the opposite direction, by this definition, our labelling of what is North and South would also flip over (the two geographic poles, for example), and so would our labelling of what is East and West. (So, the answer of your question would be that the sun would continue to rise in the East, albeit the opposite geographical region to what we are used to today: the USA, for example, would be a country in the southern hemisphere, with a Pacific east coast, and an Atlantic west coast.) Whether the people who have more of an historic view of the definitions of N, S, E, W would agree with this is another matter. It would mean that earth would then be a planet with retrograde rotation, like Venus. The speed of a point on the surface of the planet temporarily facing away from the sun would be the result of subtracting that because of the rotation, and that because of the orbit. This might have a small effect on the magnitude of the tides on the planet (I'll let others correct me on this). But otherwise, I don't imagine there being much impact on the evolution of life on the planet. As to what would happen during the flip... I'll let others comment on that. I'm sure that if that is what your question is asking, the answer is going to be one of more catastrophic consequences.
