Too often have I heard this phrase from right-wing trolls with the sole purpose to make “liberals” and socialism look bad. It doesn’t. Liberalism in the American sense of the word means the opposite of conservatism, and socialism means that you want the government to run critical infrastructure instead of outsourcing it to privately owned corporations who will raise prices, reduce service and deny business to people based on unfair and arbitrary rules they make up. Hitler wasn’t an advocate of either, and I’m pretty sure you know that. If not, as I said above, get to work with that history book.
