Facial Hair with Actors Headshots?
I'm an aspiring actor, plan on getting headshots done soon, I've grown a beard recently and not sure whether or not to keep it for the headshots. Any info on facial hair in headshots would be great
How did you feel when you first shaved your moustache?
The first time I shaved (or basically trimmed) my moustache was when I was in 9th standard. Like any other teen boy I was uncomfortable with all the hair growing over my lips. So one night I decided to trim it a little bit . Just a little bit. I started around the edges with delicate cuts. This when went for a while until I realized that bit by bit I had trimmed down my entire moustache!At first I freaked out . I was wondering how my mother would react. When I went to sleep I hid my moustache zone with my hands. Then came the weird part . Mom asked "Haath hata to, kya chupa raha hai"(Remove your hands , what are you hiding). I unwillingly had to remove my hands and her expression and reaction was exactly what I had expected. She called dad from upstairs and he said ," Ye kya kiya, abhi kaatega to aur ghana aayega "(What have you done, if you trim now then it'll become more bushy).Now receiving such kind of reaction was obvoiusly dreaded about going to school the other day. As I reached he first thing my classmates said "Shave kiya hai kya " (did you shave?) . My teachers asked the same thing. The centre of conversation that day was the foolish thing I had done.Ever since that day , I am very careful about trimming and try to do is as less as possible ....PS. I am 17 now and now it's a normal thing. I even bought a trimmer and trim once every week. But still , I wish I hadn't trimmed tht night... ;)
Why are South Indian movie actors not clean-shaven unlike Bollywood stars?
South Indian boys/men usually are not clean shaven. It was probably because of the local customs in the past. Now it's just the trend to keep a beard/stubble. It's not just in the South but in the North too. The actors however do appear clean shaven sometimes for their roles in the movies. Why must men shave facial hair in preparation for an interview?
I love my beard. It's ridiculous that 'normal' for men is to scrape away the most natural thing. In our society we are taught that there is something inherently wrong with beards; they are typically reserved for wizards or the homeless. I'm not exactly sure why being clean shaven has become so important to appearing professional. The only problem with a 5 o' clock shadow is that it looks like you were too lazy to shave, rather than having an established beard.
What are the possible effects of shaving the pubic hair for men?
E.D. is cause by biological functions, shaving your hair has nothing to do with biological functions. The only possible effect that I can tell you about is that it will be ITCHY beyond belief when that hair grows back in... lol
Shave "down there" in shower...but bad eyesight?
I have terrible eyesight...like 4's in each eye. This makes shaving difficult. I usually shave my legs and armpits bare (no shaving cream) and there is no problem. But those areas aren't as sensitive at the vaginal area. I have shaved down there before, but electrically because the fear of irritation or cuts. I would like to add it (shaving my "hoo haa") into my daily shower routine, but I'm afraid my eyesight will be a problem. Shaving outside the shower is kinda difficult for me since I have 5 other sisters trying to use the same bathroom and as soon as they hear the water turn off, I'm rushed out of the bathroom faster then you can say wait. So I kinda need everything to happen at once. Any ideas? I have contacts but they gave my eyes a viral infection so they are off limits for about a month. Maybe I can wear an old pair of glasses in the shower for the 2 mins, or something... --------please answer------------this question-------------even if you can't--------------answer the one above--------------------Also, how do you avoid irritation, red bumps, ingrow hairs, and stuff like that after you shave? I accidently got a face mask for men, can i still use it?
Long story short, I went to the store and i needed a new face mask. At walmart they have these little packets of face mask you can try and i just grabbed one that was a peel off one cause i like those. when i got home, the directions said to apply over a clean shaven face. I thought that was kind of weird thinking "most women don't shave their face?" and then i looked and the person in the photo was actually a MAN not a WOMAN! And at the top it said next to the title in small letters "for men". Can I still use it? Will it be harmful or change anything? And I lost the receipt so I can't return it, so if I can't use it i'll probably put it on my boyfriend on one of hte days his acne is acting up. But can I still use it? What would be the harmful affects of using it, if any?
