Why Do I Eat So Unhealthy All The Time .

What is something unhealthy that you eat all the time?

“What is something unhealthy that you eat all the time?”Ice cream. It's a lot of tasty fat and sugar, but would be fine in moderation.Well, I don't do moderation. Like, not at all.I once ate only ice cream for a month when I was 18 years old. As a new adult, I can finally eat just what I want. Ended up at the doctor's office with hypoglycemia, from all that sugar. Not smart.I also tend to use it to treat my depression. FYI, that doesn't work either. Sugar just isn't great to help improve your mood, and you end up just craving more of it.I tell myself that at least I am not an indiscriminate glutton about it. I only eat Hudsonville brand ice cream, made here in Michigan and I am partial to flavors with chocolate or caramel. But I eat a half gallon as a single serving, so I have to stop completely.February was a good month; I haven't had any ice cream at all. But Fat Tuesday is coming up…

Is eating out all the time really that unhealthy?

I cook my own breakfast, and I have eggs, grits, sasuage, fruits etc. For lunch I usually go to longhorn, and dinner I either go to long horn again or red lobster and bring it home with me, or something along those lines. I don't usually get fast foods or sweets. My work schedule is seriously screwed and about the time I get off work it's too late to cook anything. I eat steak, potatos, broccoli, or fish or something like that. I drink mostly water. Is eating steak potatos and broccoli from a restaurant any different than cooking it at home?

My family eats unhealthy?

I wish I had more control of what I put in my body, but i'm only 15 and it is difficult with a family that doesn't support me.
I'll ask my mom to buy salads, fruits, and vegetables at the grocery store and she does but it goes bad quickly and plus, I can't live entirely on salad.
Basically my mom is lazy. She is a stay home mom and I respect her for that because it's not easy, but she rarely cooks. She'll cook 2 days out the entire week and thinks that it is perfectly fine to eat fast food the other 5 days. We eat pizza so often that I think i'll throw up if I have to eat another piece this week and i'm tired of eat greasy fatty foods. It makes me feel gross and it honestly effects my mood. My mom doesn't support my wishes to be vegetarian or even eat healthy. She says that if she cooks healthy food the rest of the family won't like it. I think that is a pathetic excuse. Honestly sometimes you have to suck it up and do things when you are tired, I do it every freaking day at school. I wish I could tell her that.. but it's probably better to keep my mouth shut.
Anyway how can I eat healthy with my whole family against me? Being healthy is something I feel really passionate about, and I want to live till i'm very old and still feel great. Please no rude comments and thanks in advance for your time.

Why do people eat out so often in America if it's so unhealthy?

People eat out often for several reasons. Some families have enough disposable income to support eating out often and are able to make healthy choices while eating out. However, more often than not, families eat out when they can’t afford to and usually make poor nutritional choices while doing so.Eating out doesn’t have to be unhealthy but it’s very hard to make consistent choices for healthier eating when you do eat out frequently. Most people eat out solely because of not being prepared or, more simply, convenience. In many one and two parent homes, adults are working and children are busy all day at school and with other activities; by the time everyone arrives home, and if no one has planned the evening’s meal, a hasty decision is made, so the idea of nutrition and the family’s budget get thrown out the window!Meal planning and preparation isn’t that difficult. While I enjoy eating out, I rarely do so because of not being prepared. Also, rarely do I eat out for convenience. Mostly, I eat out for entertainment and I enjoy a great meal made with quality recipes and ingredients. I try to make smart nutritional and price choices so I don’t have any regrets later.I had this great meal last week while on vacation in the South: fresh caught shrimp, fresh collard greens and a baked potato! Sure, it was a little pricey but I was with family I hadn’t seen in quite a while and the scenery out on the water was unbeatable!

Why do people eat unhealthy food if they know it's unhealthy?

In addition to standard nursing education, I have received further training in functional nutrition, and based on my experience in working one-on-one with a number of patients with respect to unhealthy eating patterns, I will say that a lot of junk-food eaters consume their pseudo-foods of choice in order to self-soothe. Man-made foods are designed, sometimes with chemical additives and flavor enhancers, to satisfy in terms of flavor and texture, which stimulates ongoing consumption. Refined edibles further generate the release of feel-good neurotransmitters and some stimulate opioid receptors; they can impact the brain just like drugs of abuse do. What follows a feeding episode is similar to a medicated state that provides a sense of temporary relief from suffering. Like any high, it’s followed by a crash that stimulates further eating in order for the eater to re-experience the positive feelings. Foods can literally be addictive. Unfortunately, those are not the health-inducing ones.Sometimes people with chronic physical pain overeat junk foods, too, and it can be related to the pain condition and/or the emotional impacts of chronic pain (e.g., depression, feelings of hopelessness, consequences of isolation). I’ve known quite a lot of individuals with this issue, but one recent pain patient comes to mind. She overate calorie-dense, reward-center-stimulating foods almost exclusively for nearly two years (and maintained an approximate 30-pound weight gain on a tiny frame) until the source of the pain was diagnosed and resolved with surgery. Once she was pain-free, she immediately stopped self-medicating with food, lost the extra weight within a couple of months, and has kept it off since. All of us, but particularly those of us in the caring professions, need to be compassionate and understanding about the “vices” of others. They are frequently, if not usually, attempts to numb unbearable pain — emotional and/or physical — and are often sources of great shame for sufferers.

Do you feel guilty when you eat unhealthy?

I always feel so guilty when I eat unhealthy things. For example, Saturday I went to Red Lobster and had coconut shrimp, I ate 6 shrimp, a small salad and one of their biscuits, but I felt so guilty after. I rarely eat out and I never eat processed/fried foods, but when I do I feel so guilty. Like I'm hurting my body by putting that processed stuff in it.

I normally eat all organic, all natural, low fat, low sugar foods.

Is it unhealthy to eat a lot of seafood???????

not at all , its very healthy! the only time you have to limit your ingestion of seafood is when you are pregnant , due to the possibility of mercury, but other than that , enjoy!

Does eating unhealthy junk foods all the time make you ugly?

I've been recently eating a TON of junk food this past month so much but I pretty much have my whole life I was always a picky eater. Will this make me ugly? I have a oily brokeout face but I'm not sure if its from that or not. It's so hard to eat healthy... What can I do to motivate myself to eat healthy? Will eating junk make you ugly?

How do you stop yourself from eating unhealthy foods all the time?

I went through that exact same thing, desperation works. I went to a nutritionist chiropractor who was insistent that most of my problems were due to food and chemical sensitivities. I eliminated a lot of my comfort foods. and all processed or sugary foods, including fruit. Went on the Candida diet. I also started going to Overeaters Anonymous. It changed my outlook on life..
