Why Do I Hate Twitter So Much

Why is there so much hate on Twitter?

Twitter has interesting engagement potential including as a research, networking and very occasionally a debating tool so why do (some) people hate Twitter?Crispin Butteriss is a chief practice officer of Bang The Table, describing why people hate Twitter with 4 reasons.Twitter content cannot easily be validated.Twitter comments are not thoughtful.Twitter is not really interactive and does not encourage real conversation. The volume of worthwhile content is overwhelmed by content with no real value.

Why are there so many men hating tweets made on Twitter?

There aren’t. All social media platforms suffer from extreme levels of misogyny, not man-hating. I’d say Youtube is the worst, but Twitter has its share as well.Pretty much all the “man-hating” on Twitter are jokes. Light-hearted, and harmless considering how little power women have. You want to know what it’s like to be a prominent feminist on Twitter, for example? Take a look into 1 week in the feed of Anita Sarkeesian after she spoke about misogyny in video games. One Week of Harassment on TwitterI took screenshots of some of the sexist things I’ve seen. Very few out of the thousands I’ve seen.Nearly 40% of people voted supporting incredible misogyny. Imagine what the replies were like. Most of them were:Not too long ago a British show had an all-female panel (they had had plenty of all-male panels, which went without scrutiny) and I saw hundreds of angry male comments, many of them sexist. There were so many I just screenshotted this tweet making fun of them:The culture of Men’s Rights Activists and Mgtow on Twitter is there, coupled with the men who believe women should be replaced with robots. Then when the Boy Scouts were going bankrupt, all the tweets and probably thousands of replies were blaming girls. On top of that you have all the men calling women bitches and other slurs. I’ve seen “I wanna rape white bitches” tweets many times.

Why do people like Twitter?

I started using Twitter around six months ago. Personally I am not much into being active in multiple social platforms simultaneously. I find it overwhelming to manage all of them together.I am on Facebook for around 7 years now, so dropping it altogether is not an option. While using more social profiles along with it I was skeptical about Twitter. At the beginning it seemed unlikely that I would have any benefit of using that.Till today, what I mainly do in Twitter is follow and read stories. As it is a source of current affairs to me. Twitter is too quick to reflect rapidly changing realtime events. Facebook trends take longer time to update. Basically, if you can come up with a zone of your interest and follow related accounts, you would be up-to-date.Another thing which caught my attention and kept me hooked was the verified account concept. Of course, there are thousands of bots misusing the platform but opinions from verified accounts help me shape mine too. Also, reading through a twitter argument with rationals is sort of entertaining to me which I will not deny. So, I find Twitter useful as it is a source of my daily intake of headlines. I am not much into tweeting or re-tweeting, that is why I cannot comment on that much.Image source: Social Media Showroom Twitter ⋆ Social Media Management and Training

Why are there so many hateful comments on Youtube, Twitter and Facebook?

Because the internet conveniently accords people a great deal of anonymity and freedom from the consequences of abusing people. Being free of the constraints of identity permits many individuals to connect with a profoundly selfish and hateful part of themselves that they can give vent to in the online setting. Basically we’re spiteful little creatures and sadly for many, projecting our fear and hatred onto other people makes us feel good. Consequently the internet frequently leaves one fearing for the moral conscience of humanity!

Does anyone else hate twitter?

I hate the idea of Twitter. Egos of people are unbelievable. I also find Facebook boring as toast.

Why do people like Facebook more than Twitter?

Product and research. For years Facebook has dealt with users who didn't like changes in the product. As many as 10% of Facebook user base joined a group to protest the newsfeed when it was first introduced. But product changes weren't random. They were improvements and dictated by user research. When people demanded vocally, for instance, the option to have a strict reverse chronological newsfeed, Facebook didn't give in because it knew from experiments that all the metrics it cared about would go down if they did.Conversely, Twitter for the longest time held its product to a very narrow vision of a series of 140 character messages. Why isn't Twitter a force to be reckoned with in messaging? In news? in entertainment? There were so many things that Twitter did best - for a time, Twitter was the only place a public figure would want to be, for instance. And a tweet to a brand would guarantee a response from support. But where are the products based on that? nowhere. Facebook succeeded better than Twitter because the Facebook product changed and adapted more than Twitter's.
