Why do I keep getting infections?

Because you touch yourself at night.

Why do I keep getting infections?

John this is a great question. The reason so many of us get STD's is because of the stigma involved with admitting to having or having had a disease. The answer to your question depends on a couple of factors. 1) Which STD did you have? Was it herpes? 2) You may have had more than 1 STD and they only caught one because STD's normally travel in at least pairs. This is a question that you really need to ask your Dr. If you have a good Dr. then do not be embarrassed. Plenty of people are treated for STD it is better to have been treated and cured for an STD then to hide it..., live with it..., pass it to others..., lie.

Why do I keep getting infections?

I have good hygiene, I make sure I'm clean. I never take a bath, without showering first. So how is it that I keep getting these random infections? In the past 7 months or so I've had maybe a yeast infection (that one im not sure about?), a sinus infection, ear infection, uti? (Im not sure) some sort of infection on my breast (had a weird itchy bump that didn't go away for two months and now has left an odd looking spot in it's place), belly button infection (no piercings), another naval infection, now I think I have a uti (again) and another naval infection. I'm not sure if I have a urinary tract infection, or what. All I know is twice the past four months I've had a two or three week period where I felt like I had to pee really badly, all the time. I never had to go much at all, but I literally felt like I couldn't hold it. and it hurt, bad. I guess it burned? I feel like I'm getting more infections than normal. I mean, I get the sinus infection nearly every year...but I've never had this other stuff. I have some amoxicillian left over from my sinus infection, could I just start taking that? Lol

My dog keeps getting ear infections.?

Here's the deal. Labs are prone to ear infections. Their ears are floppy and can hold in moisture, thus making them a breeding ground for infection.

You need to make sure her ears are dried after every bath, romp in the water, or (if you hunt) after she's been in the lake retrieving. She may have ear mites. Has the vet checked? If not, make sure they do next time. If it's not ear mites you can get a q-tip and put some baby oil on the tip. Once you do that (assuming you know not to poke far into the dogs ear) you can clean the ear with the q-tip and get the black gunk out. If she has a yeast infection the vet will need to take care of that. Maybe try a different vet or keep using the malotic the first vet gave you.

Why do my ear infections keep coming back?

The longest time i've been without an ear infection was around two months. I went to an ear specialist last time and he gave me two different kinds of drops and they helped, until now....
The infections are even worse when they come back! They have never hurt, it only itches but now it does hurt!! Why do I have them so frequently and why does it get worse everytime??

I keep getting ear infections over the past year. The wax gets dry and scab-like. Prescription drops dont work. What alternatives do I have?

I assume you’re talking about the external ear infection. Since the doctor prescribed drops, what did he say was the cause? Do you swim a lot? Do you shower or bathe and leave water in your ear? It doesn’t hurt to get water in your ear as it should soften the wax, but you want to wick it out with some tissue, and in this case especially you don’t want to stick a Q-tip in there.I know that prescription drops, or even OTC have acetic acid in them=vinegar. From the Mayo Clinic: A mixture of 1 part white vinegar to 1 part rubbing alcohol may help promote drying and prevent the growth of bacteria and fungi that can cause swimmer's ear. Pour 1 teaspoon (about 5 milliliters) of the solution into each ear and let it drain back out.

What is a way to get rid of ear infection?

Go to the doctor and get an antibiotic

I have an ear infection, should i keep cotton in my ears?

Use a cotton ball when showering to keep water out of the ear (Left? Right?) or a plastic shower cap and a blow dryer set on low to dry out the ear canal when needed.

As "JB" already said, cotton balls aren't recommended. A lack of circulating air contributes to otitis externa. You want your canal to be dry. The use of cotton applicators (Q-tips) packs cerumen (ear wax) in more than it removes it. Air can't reach the skin under the cerumen and dried, packed cerumen harbors bacteria and other organisms because trapping these things is one function of cerumen.

"my ear started bleeding a little bit is that normal?" -- Under the circumstances, yes. Not only "normal" but expected.
