Why Do I Randomly Feel Nervous

Feeling anxious randomly?

Unfortunately, anxiety can strike for no reason. Do you exercise? I developed anxiety my first semester at college. I've never been professionally diagnosed, but I worry myself so much that I have actually thrown up from it before. It got to the point that I felt sick every day. I had gone to the health center several times throughout the year, nothing was every really wrong with me. My uncle is a doctor, and he told me the importance of exercising. I hate running, but I forced myself to do it the past semester, with my boyfriend and friends, and we got to the point where we were running 3 miles daily, and it really helps in the long run. If your diet is not good, absolutely improve that. Lots of fruits, vegetables, eat all three meals, cut out soda and as much junk food as you can. My life got so much better. Oh, and sleeping. I make sure I sleep at least eight hours a night during school. It helps so much. Now that I am home for summer, I don't work out, I eat way worse, and I sleep way less, and I notice more frequent moments of anxiety. Also, try eating these tablets called PharmaGaba, you can find them in the organic section of a grocery store. People who are anxious (among other things) apparently lack gamma amino butyric acid, and these tablets replenish the amount in your body. My uncle suggested them. I think they have made a difference in my life (at least I've convinced myself that they have). Just take two, give it a half an hour or so (try not to think about it), and you should feel less anxious. Doesn't work for everyone, but I'm convinced that it works for me. Even if it's just mental, whatever. I took them a lot for awhile, and now I can go for way longer (days/weeks) without needing any.

I know I didn't really offer you a cause, aside from just general anxiety (mine came out of nowhere really). But at least try exercising more, sleeping more, eating better, and drinking more water. Good luck!

Why do I randomly get anxious?

You may be anticipating fear and are holding back from social situations because of it. Like all teens in the same situation, you must face your fears and begin to do some social things at school such as joining clubs or taking part in the school play and student government. Your fears are a natural part of being a teen and fearing the reproach of your peers. If you don’t start making friends now and getting out of your social shell, when will you begin to socialize? You’ve most likely seen a doctor and your heart is fine. If not, have a checkup. You can go see a doctor and he might prescribe some pills and you’ll feel better. But your situation hasn’t improved any. A quarter of the kids who get to college are suffering from social anxiety. Kids used to get together and play in neighborhoods and no one thought they wouldn’t be safe. There was strength in numbers. What’s changed? Socialization came naturally, now it has to be taught. Thanks for the request.

Why do I randomly feel nervous?

Im a female and I feel nervous at random times. like my body feels jittery on the inside and its not because im hungry. and Ive also been having a constant headache for the past few days. I took advil but it hasnt gone away. My last period was August 3rd and the one before that was June 14. I am not pregnant so that isn't a cause. Ive been randomly feeling nervous for the past 3 weeks and I also feel blah. I dont know why this is happening and I would really like to go back to normal and happy. I know it is probably anxiety but why am I getting this? I never used to feel like this until about a month ago. Someone please help. I dont want to go on medications either to treat it

Why do i feel nervous for no reason at all?

The three things I would suggest looking into:
(1) Anxiety disorder.
I have a friend who would have mild to severe panic attacks, and finally sought treatment when she had insurance. It was related to a combination of family-inherited traits, past trauma as a child that was still healing which would trigger postponed panics as an adult, and even blood sugar and diet. So she changed her diet and was given some medication to prevent it from being a problem.
(2) Attention deficit or hyperactivity.
Even if this does not apply directly to your case, some of the same resources that help individuals and families cope with nervousness and lack of concentration or focus may help you indirectly. In working with students, teachers and parents on mechanisms to cope with this, I found some of the same advice or solutions to help other people in general as well.
(3) Empathy or hypersensitivity
I have met other people besides myself with a special sensitivity for feeling the emotions and thoughts of people close to me (either personally or physically). This can cause either sudden or longterm anxiety or distress indirectly because I am "empathizing" with someone else in distress. It does not have to be in my immediate environment or knowledge for me to experience their feelings as if they were my own. In extreme cases, I cannot tell the difference. So again, even if this does not apply directly in your case, the books, counseling, or exercises offered to help people to deal with emotional empathy may help you to cope with nervousness and anxiety.

Whether or not the anxiety is caused by reactions from your past or from your surroundings, some of the same methods may help you that are developed for disorders that cause similar reactions in people. The main thing is not to be afraid of it, but to look for coping mechanisms that work for you in the meantime while you try to identify, reduce or correct the causes. Even if it is something that you cannot prevent totally, there are ways to work around it that may help you feel more prepared and confident and less worried or fearful no matter what it turns out to be.

Why do I feel jittery at random times?

What you're experiencing is low blood sugar (sugar crash). Drink a 6-8 ounce glass of orange juice or suck on some hard candy when this happens. You'll feel better in a couple minutes.

Why do I feel nervous around people and how can I feel more relaxed?

I go to a crowded place. There are so many people. And they’re looking at me like I’ve killed someone. Some people examine me from head to toe, wearing poker faces. Nobody smiles. It’s really wierd. And I don’t know what to do with my hands. I walk away, but I still feel awkward. I don’t know. Maybe I’m afraid of what other people are thinking about me.This is what I used to feel when I went to crowded places earlier. I think you can relate too.Well, at that time I didn’t have much friends. I didn’t talk much. I felt afraid to go to parties and all the places where there were people I didn’t know. But later in school I joined many clubs and associations. I guess you should too. There you will meet new friends. You’ll get the chance to talk and share your ideas often. When you get the chance to be with people more, you will eventually get used to them and you’ll stop feeling nervous around people. If you have finished school, try getting membership in some associations in your area. Or try doing a part time job in a library or a restaurant.Good luck with it!!!

Why do I feel so cold when nervous?

Don't worry, this is completely normal and is the foundation upon which biofeedback therapy is based. I'll try to explain in easy terms. When we get tense, our bodies restrict blood flow to protect our organs, reducing the amount going to our limbs. Less blood flow means less warmth. You're not shutting down and you won't lose your limbs, you'll just feel colder. In biofeedback, you can hook up your fingers to sensors that detect body heat. The more you relax, the better the blood flow, and the warmer you get. The monitors supply the data so you can see how good a job you're doing at relaxing! You will notice that you feel warm again once you get your body to “un-clench" and you can do this by enjoying a nice, warm bath, listening to uplifting music, dancing and exercise. You can also improve your general reactions to stress by practicing meditation and using visualizations. You can imagine yourself into feeling better.I am not promoting myself here, but i do have over 55 exercises, meditations and visualizations available for free, 24/7. Visualizations by Adrienne AustinYou can also find others on YouTube offering more options!Anxiety is something we all must deal with regardless of age, so it's useful to have several tricks up your sleeve for coping with it.Peace to you,Adrienne aka Grinwhicket
