Why Do My Lashes Never Stay Curved When I Use Mascara

When i curl my eye lashes they never stay curled for long, how can i get them 2 stay curled?

Hi there I always curl my eye lashes everyday, its good to train them to stay curled. Also I use a hair dryer to heat the eye lash curlers before hand, the heat tends to set them better. To finish I just use the smallest amount of hairspray just to make them stay curled. MIND YOU I'M NOT IN ANYWAY TELLING YOU TO USE HAIRSPRAY ON YOUR LASHES BUT IF YOU REALLY WANT CURLY LASHES ALL DAY THEN DO AS YOU PLEASE........Many thanks for reading my important information, Hayley-May

I think anyone who frequently wears mascara has, at some point, not washed their face completely (probably after a long night ….drinking….or not, stuff happens!) but somewhere along the way we’ve all just cleaned up the black bits and raccoon circles and threw a new layer on top. I think 99.9% of those of us who’ve done this, could barely wait to get home and scrub the heck out of our entire face. I’m not completely sure if this is answering your question or not, so let’s just say this:Your lashes can have mascara stay on them as long as you will leave it there. Its going to feel terrible about 30 hours in but it won’t be what will damage your lashes (it’s not good for them, as it’s drying, because they don’t get your natural oils and the products ingredients are drying, but no long term or permanent damage). What will damage your follicles and pull lashes out is scrubbing the disgusting days old mascara off. You’ll end up having to rub and scrub harder than you should ever for such a sensitive area. All that washing and rubbing will have you loosing more lash hairs then you would naturally shed. So that’s just the removal of days the old mascara. Then there’s me and my OCD that will no doubtedly kick in, and I will start messing with my lashes on these doubled up mascara days. I will pinch my lashes. I don’t pull them just pinch, sometimes a little swirl. And like clockwork, I will loose a ton of lashes. So if you’re like me, it’s bad news! A double or triple whammy! Dried out, overly scrubbed and pinched…I need to never be so lazy as to not fully remove my make up!

Hi there,The above answers give you the all the reasons to curl your lashes bed re applying the mascara.Once I tried curling them after applying the mascara and it was a disaster.Breakage is one factor and if the mascara is not dry enough it will clump your lashes and eventually increase your work in separating them again and ruin the effect sometimes.Check out my blog on Maybelline lash sensational mascara where I got great lashes without even curling them. Here Makeupyard101ThanksTake care

Why can't my eyelashes stay curled?!?

okay first what kind of eyelash curler do you have? if you have smaller/bigger eyes the eyelash curler doesnt fit as well to curl it. wait like 5 min afteryou curl your eyelashes and see if your eyelashes return to flat/non-curled. if they uncurl before you apply mascara, it's a problem with your curler. and with the maybelline xxl thing, it's a more heavily weighted mascara b/c of two thck coats so it might spread your lashes back to normal. and reading what the second person commented about curling eyelashes after putting on mascara, DON'T DO IT!! unless you wanna lose some eyelashes, don't curl after mascara, b/c mascara is sticky, and even after it dries, if you curl lashes, they can still stick to your curler and easier to pull off by accident, especially for thicker mascara. i would definitely try the maybelline xxl curled brush mascara that's somewhat new. it's REALLYYYY good, especially with holding curls!!!

My eyelashes never stay curled!?

I have this problem too sometimes.

After I put on my eyeshadow and my eyeliner, I curl my eyelashes. To make my eyelashes extra curly, I heat up my curler with a blow dryer on a low setting. Make sure it is not too hot or you will burn your eyelashes.

When you put on your mascara, shake the brush gently side to side while applying it to your lashes. After your second coat of mascara is dry, curl them again, this time with a cool curler. ALso, try pumping the curler (like you are pumping your car breaks.)

I hope this helps your pretty eyes. Good luck girly!

My eyelashes never stay curled -_-?

I have read great reviews on using the Mascara Base from Shiseido under regular mascara.

Many have said that their lashes actually stayed curled even after putting on the base and mascara and it seems many have tried it with great results with the Shu Uemura Mascara Basic.

I use the Shiseido eyelash curler and usually just try to warm up the metal between my hands if the dryer is not handy and that seems to do the trick. I used to use the Shu Uemura lash curler but when I had to get a new one, I decided to try the Shiseido and wow, it IS better than the Shu although the Shu is superior to the other drugstore brands.

My eyelashes never stay curled?

i'm pretty sure it's my eyelash curler and possibly my mascara because right when i put the mascara on, the curl in my eyelash "falls", i use Rimmel Londons' Sexy Curves mascara.. i've had my eyelash curler for maybe a year and a half so i should probably get a new one. but my question is, do you think it's my mascara or my curler, and if so what are good curlers that can be found in stores like WalMart for a somewhat reasonable price. &+ same for mascara. PLEASE! i've had this problem forever now, and ive tried using heat on my curler and that doesnt help. pleae help mee. (:

I’m going to tell you a secret: as much as I love makeup, I’ve never purchased a high-end mascara. That’s because more than any other product, I believe making lashes look long, full, dark, and luxurious is 99% about application technique, not the particular brand of mascara you buy. There are exceptions, I’m sure. For example, a mascara that’s been sitting around for several months will get thicker, and hence, more “clumpy.” But you can have great-looking lashes even when using a mascara that has a thicker formula IF you apply it correctly. You probably already know:Don’t “pump” the applicator in the tube. That forces air into the tube, which over time, causes the mascara to begin to dry out, and thicken.Wipe the excess mascara off the applicator brush before applying the mascara to your lashes.Holding the brush horizontally, place the brush at the base of your lashes and wiggle it back and forth a few times to deposit product, then slowly stroke the brush from the base of your lashes to the tips.THEN utilize this trick: comb your lashes to separate them and remove any clumps. But, you need the right tool to do it. Here’s the magic tool:Classic Lash Brow CombNotice the teeth on this lash comb are metal, not plastic. Metal teeth will separate your lashes and easily remove any clumps. Plastic teeth are not effective when trying to separate lashes clumped together with mascara - they aren’t fine enough. After applying a coat of mascara, and while the mascara is still wet, gently comb through your lashes from base to tip.Do this after every coat of mascara, and make sure to clean the comb (I usually wipe the teeth on a baby wipe to remove mascara residue) after each use.Voila! Perfect lashes - and you didn’t need to drop $20.00+ to get them!

Is a curved mascara brush better than a straight one?

i could think of those that accenuate and/or spotlight your lashes may be the greater constructive. circulate to the makeup shop and play with their brushes. on occasion they have curved pattern ones or promptly pattern ones. have exciting!

Here’s a secret from the beauty industry: don’t just use one mascara. One can not do everything, though one is find if you’re looking for a natural look.I would start with a lash primer. I use L’Oreal, I find that brand is strong in the mascara department, but your mileage may vary. Then, apply a thickening mascara at the roots only. L’Oreal Voluminous is what I use, though Dior is also good.THEN, try another mascara with fiber lashes. I’ve only tried one kind — Physician’s Formula Eye Booster — but I know other brands. This is a mascara and separate thing of asbestos-like powder, which stick to the ends of your real lashes for extra length. Apply one or two coats of mascara+powder, finishing with a mascara layer. Avoid your lower lashes, you don’t want it to look goopy, you’re making your lashes longer at this point.Note: in all the steps above, do not use waterproof mascara. Waterproof is tricky and usually looks terrible unless applied very lightly. Waterproofing happens in the next step. Finally, run over everything very lightly with a waterproofing mascara, whether you need the waterproof effect or not. It will help with smudging and make it last.If you really want the waterproofing — you’re going to swim or cry a lot — use a top coat. Though I wouldn’t do heavy mascara if you think it’s going to run. If you’re getting married or whatever, spring for the eyelash extensions. And that is how you do it. But if I were just to use one, I’d go for the mascara+powder Physician’s Formula product.
