Military housing noise complaint!?
Can someone explain this to me, as I am new to military housing. It's 730 pm on a Saturday night, my husband and I are watching a movie. Mind you, we are respectful people and don't have our surround sound bass speaker anywhere near a neighboring wall, and the volume was up loud enough to hear, not excessive or loud like we were having a party. Yet the MA's show up at our door saying we received a noise complaint. Our neighbor upstairs is a good friend of mine who said she couldn't even hear us. How is it, that at 730 pm, the police can show up on my door saying there's a noise complaint?! I don't understand especially since quiet time doesn't start until 10pm. To me this means they had no ground for showing up. Anyone who lives in military housing can you explain this to me? These people are just jerks anyways, they've called the MA's several times on my upstairs neighbors, whom they do not even share a wall with. I'm just confused and pissed. Thanks!
Why some military men don't want to have sex?
i have heard many stories from different women that from time to time their men (husbands, Boyfriends, ect) lack sexual appetite why? my boyfriend is currently army reserve and i see this coming.
Why are there so many broke people in the military?
Two main reasons a military person might be broke: A. They SUCK at managing their money, or B. Their dependents (children, spouse) eat up all their money. When these two factors combine, you can really get into a pickle. You are right, if a person manages his or her money wisely, it really shouldn't be an issue as long as you are on Active Duty. Whether you are in the military or not, you shouldn't be buying a new car if you are making $20,000 to $30,000 a year and you also shouldn't be eating out more than once a week. You should be cooking at least half your food from scratch and you should be eating more potatoes and rice and less meat and "freezer meals." You could probably get by without cable, most TV shows are available online for free a week after they air. Living within your means, basically. Once you get out of the military, things aren't so easy. You only get health insurance for free for six months, though you may be able to get free treatment for a limited number of issues at the VA if you were in Iraq or Afghanistan. But that's got a time limit on it too, unless you have a disability from your time in the military. The GI Bill and VA home loans are both excellent benefits. The trick is, you have to USE THEM. As the old saying goes you can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink.
Harder to find a girlfriend when you are in the military?
that's depend on what your friend do in the military. what kind of girl and relationship that he wants. yes, it can be hard to find a girl friend while in the military, because guys before him have mess over girls in that town or area. how guys in the military find a nice local girl and make promises to her/them well knowing they wasn't going to keep. when it time for them to move to their next duty station they skip out on them. this leave a very bitter tastes in them about guys in the military.
Question about Marine Pay. Why do people complain about being poor and underpaid?
I noticed a few people complaining about the pay when your in the military. My husband just joined the marines and is at bootcamp right now and I was looking at a few things and people are acting like that are poor or something! What? They get free housing and I heard you only pay for the cable if you live on base. Why are they complaining? Just curious.
Do military men get away with abuse?
A friend stopped by and wasn't even at my house more then an hour. All of a sudden my bell rings it's her kids... he dropped them off from across the street and locked all the window and doors so she couldn't get in. And drove off. She called him no answer so when he finally comes back he punch her in the head and knock her out and then she came back to my house for the kids. She was like it's all my fault I was here too long but i am glad someone sees this. I know it's wrong but I started this I am happy you see this. I have been to their house it is always so clean and she waits on him hand and foot oand they seem to have the best relationship. She then told me what you see isn't what it is. Why is this happening to her, why live this lie and why would she say I am happy someone finally sees this?
Why does one miss the military life?
I was in the Air Force for 10 years and getting out was a very tough decision. When I was in the service, '83 to '93, I think the biggest reason I miss is the assumption that you can handle what you are given. The military is big on training and once they train you, they give you responsibility. Where else do you find 18 year old responsible for tearing a multi million dollar aircraft apart and putting it back together again. As a junior NCO one of my additional duties was managing the department budget. I was 25 years old and responsible for $500K of annual expenses. Ensuring purchases were handled correctly and properly justified, making sure we were on track to spend the entire budget, and creating and justifying a budget for the next year. One of the other strong factors was what I call the cocoon factor. When you are in the military you are surrounded by a big cocoon. You may rent or buy a place off base, but 90% or more of your friends are in the military. You go to a military grocery store, buy at a military retail store, see the doctor at the military hospital, get a haircut at a military barber, buy liquor at the class six store, etc. Everyone you know is related to the military, civilians included, and you all know what the mission is. You don't have any questions about what you are doing and what you can do. If you have a question you can either ask or look it up in the regulations.Since leaving the military I have worked for large and small businesses. My experience is you have to prove you can do the job before you get the job and good luck in getting training from your company. You are on your own, even if they do provide some reimbursement.
Why should a girl not marry an Indian Army personnel?
Well, this question not only sounded interesting but being a Fauji wife myself, I could not hold myself back from giving a message to all those girls who are keen to marry an officer but have no clues whatsoever about what life they are signing themselves into. Here's why you shouldn't marry an Officer from the Armed Forces.A girl should never marry an Officer if her idea of military and Fauji Life is hugely influenced by Bollywood movies like Jab Tak Hai Jaan where the girl is hanging through a bridge to see him in action while the officer is defusing the bomb.A girl should never marry a Fauji Afsar if separation is too hard for her to handle even when she can live a comfortable life and party with friends and he has to live 16000 ft above sea level where everything is white and frozen and the only human touch is either fellow uniformed men or the enemy from across the border. But still she thinks, it's hard for HER and she is lonely.If she wants to have a stable city life, full of luxuries then she shouldn't marry an officer because he has a transferable job and some postings will be in the remote corners of the country where she may not have Zara s and Steve Maddens or Taj s and Oberoi s. If these names matter to her a lot in life, she should not marry an Officer from Armed Forces.A girl should not marry an officer if she doesn't derive pleasure in small things like trying something new to cook, meeting new people, learning new crafts, exploring small towns, decorating house with DIY projects. Because Fauii Wives are a lot of kick-ass ladies who can have their share of fun even in jungles and mountains.A girl should never marry an Officer if she faces problems adapting to a new environment, if she is too fussy about your 'Own' bed and pillow kind of things.A girl should never marry an Officer, if she thinks they are just show-pieces in uniform to flaunt in your social circle. If she can't understand his passion for his motherland and his love for the uniform he dons, she can never be a Fauji Wife and heading for a marriage disaster.
