Why Do Some Atheist Hate It When Christians Are Portrayed As Victims In The Movies

Why is it ok to criticize Christianity and the West but not to criticize Islam and Muslim culture?

....because politicians are idiots. Political correctness is ruining the world.

Burn the Quran day was seen as vile and evil, meanwhile you have Muslims burning Bible's and churches in Islamic countries.

You would think that Muslims would speak up against political correctness, because it makes them look like violent animals who go on a rampage the moment someone openly voices disgust for their religion.

Why does the world hate the name of Christ more than radical Islam?

Bcos the Christ they know is a work of art. He was created by fiction and lies. This is why He has no value to Christians. Take for instance. Everyone one even lunatic respect their religion and their so called gods including hindus. In fact Hindus can burn the entire city or country if one touches or insults their gods. Muslims around the world have killed many who insulted their God or prophet. But look at the Christians. They themselves make movies of Jesus and portray him as bad character. I have seen a Jesus’s movie where Jesus is portrayed as gay, womanizer and so on.If you look at the porn industry today, lots of porn stars especially women have Jesus tattooed to their vagina, anus or cleavage, a UK magazine reported. If someone truly loves his God or religious figure, then tattooing Jesus on the private part is an insult to the highest degree.Another example. In every religion, the place of worship is considered sacred with the exception of christian churches. If you see the things that happen in churches these days you wont believe it. Churches have basically become clubs with DJs and instruments where men and women mixed up and enjoy one another. In fact, the place with the highest cases of child rape or child abuse is the churches. Women are raped in the church. Satanic rituals are done in the church. In Boston, United State, there was a time when there were over 1500 cases of child abuse in one of the churches, to the extent that parents had to stop sending their kids to sunday service.Refer to these:Boston archbishop disgraced by clergy abuse scandal dies at 86Church sex abuse victims still coming forward - The Boston GlobeSpotlight Church abuse report: Church allowed abuse by priest for years - The Boston GlobeThe Vatican's child abuse responseVatican Shines Light on Child Abuse as Claims Against Priests Persist

Why do pro Jewish movies come out in america, but like NO pro Islam movies come out?

how was The Kingdom anti muslim?

it made the catholics look like barbarians and the muslims like forgiving conquerors

PLUS

If they made movies about how muhammed conquered and murdered the jews of Medina, let his men rape and pillage,
and watch him have sex with a 9 year old.

i think more people would end up hateing islam more then they already do

Why are anal-retardant Christian mothers up in arms about His Dark Materials?

I would not take issue if that were the purpose of the movie and the purpose were made known. However, when you try to package something as appealing to Christians (saying it is akin to The Chronicles of Narnia) when it is actually an effort to urge children to kill God in their minds (which was admitted to by the author), then I take issue. Would atheists want to take their children to a movie that was advertised as a secular film and then find out after they get there that it is about Christ's redemptive love and the need for salvation? No, you would cry out in anger and say that we are trying to force our beliefs on you. That is what the people behind this film and the book series are trying to do, trick Christian parents into taking their children to see the film, then buy the books for them that are anti-God. Come out and state your agenda. Be open and honest about it and let us make an informed decision, don't try to trick us into supporting something we would not otherwise support. ***The churches of the dark ages were Catholic. I am not a Catholic and do not support or condone the violence that was carried out by the Catholic church in the past. Protestants were a victim of their violence as well.***

The movie "Buried": Why did Paul write Mark White's name on the coffin?

I believe it was just a form of...moral support. "Paul White," to the Reynolds character, represented a degree of hope, the chance of rescue, etc.

AND-- *spoilers*

It was a good way for the filmmakers to ensure we remember the Paul White "character," so the intended emotional gut punch at the end (them finding White's corpse) will be effective.

What can Muslims and atheists agree upon?

That we are all people. That all people deserve to be safe. That all people deserve to be treated with respect. That all people deserve to be treated equally. That sometimes the laws of the land don't reflect what's actually moral or 'the right thing to do.'That sometimes beliefs spread erroneous ideas, hate, and discrimination. That erroneous ideas, hate, and discrimination don't necessarily need any belief to be spread. That sometimes atheists get over emotional (even rude) about their standpoint on the issue (note that this doesn't mean they're necessarily wrong). That two people can disagree on something (even some things we hold most dear) and still treat each other as we would want to be treated. That basic belief is a right that shouldn't be infringed upon. That ridiculous ideas may be worthy of ridicule. This doesn't mean that the right to believe should be infringed upon or that the person holding the idea should be disrespected. That people should only be subject to punishment based off of actions and not merely beliefs, words, or ideas, by themselves. That there are over 4,000 religions and every one of them claim to be 'the one true right way to believe.'That science has nothing to do with religion or faith as it is used by religion. That you can understand science, see the merit in its process, observe the positive effects it's had on society, and still be religious.Keep in mind, though, that just because Muslims (or any other religious follower) and atheists can agree on the above statements, doesn't mean that they always do.
