Why Do Strapless Bras Always Slide Down

Why do guys always stare at my bra straps?

Q: “I usually like wearing an off the shoulder tee shirt and since I wear a normal bra with it, I usually end up showing one or sometimes two of my bra straps. I don't see what's so attractive about a silly bra strap since it's obvious that women wear bras anyways. Why do guys love bra straps so much?”How do you know if they are “always staring at your bra straps”?And where did you learn that “guys love bra straps so much”? That’s a new one for me.They could just as easily be staring at your bare shoulder. You’ve said that you “usually like wearing an off the shoulder tee shirt”. Baring a shoulder would get far more attention than a bra strap, in my opinion. And you would have to be a pretty good engineer to determine if the trajectory of a guy’s eyesight is aimed at a bra strap as opposed to being aimed at your shoulder. You are actually trying to get people to look at your shoulder if you are baring it to the public.Anyway, why should you care what other people are looking at - whether it’s your shoulder or a piece of fabric wrapped around your shoulder? And I could ask you a related question:Why do women always stare at the direction guys’ eyes are pointed?

Why do bra straps fall down?

Either because they are not adjusted properly, the bra is the wrong size, or the bra style is the wrong one for your build. This should not happen with a properly fitting bra. Some bra styles have bra straps that do not fully adjust, which means they are not the right style for your figure if the straps keep falling down. Also some styles of bra have narrow or wide set straps, again, depending on the person's build, it could be the style of bra.If a person is wearing the wrong size bra or does not have the straps adjusted properly, the straps will also fall down. Both of these mean it is an improper fit and needs to either be replaced or adjusted.

Girls, If you wear a strapless bra, does it slide down alot?

When I was improperly fitted into a 34B, then yes, it did slip down a lot. My boobs didn't look great.

Once I found out how bras actually work and got a proper fitting into a 30E, then my strapless bras stayed up so much better.

Strapless bra won't stay up?

Here's a tip if you're willing to do a little bit of work for not too much money. This is something that my mom has had to do for my little sister before she started to fill out more. Buy a bra extender (they look just like the hooks on your bra, just separated from it). I think you can get them at department stores, or even fabric stores that have supplies for making clothes.

So, what you have to do with them is, since it's an extender, if you sew it onto your bra strap backwards, then it will work to tighten your bra instead of extending it.

Also, like the other ppl mentioned, you should probably get a 32 next time you go bra shopping. If you're not sure if it's working, get the associate working in the fitting rooms to check how it's fitting. You might want to get her to remeasure you too, just to be sure.

How do you keep a strapless bra + strapless dress from slipping down?

Wear a tight tube top over the strapless bra and then wear the dress over all of that...it's kinda like wearing a strapless cami..good for extra protection.

I suggest getting the tube top from Forever 21...they are the best fitting in my opinion. (you know those tight-fitting one size fits all type? yep.)

Or you could wear a bandeau top over the strapless bra (these can be found at wet seal).

If all else fails, wear duct tape like everyone suggests...lol. But make sure the bra and dress fit just right...don't worry about it falling. Be confident and don't worry about fixing it..you'll be fine.

What is the best strapless bra for t shirts?

I'm trying to figure out why a strapless bra is needed for a t-shirt, since they are usually worn with strapless or spaghetti strapped tops and t-shirts provide enough coverage to wear a bra with straps. Strapless bras are usually more of a special occasion item than daily wear. With strapless bras in general, quality and fit are not just important, they are vital. Many buy a strapless bra that seems "good enough" only to spend the day adjusting, pulling on, and moving it back into proper place. Better quality bras spend the time and effort to engineer ones that provide support and stay in place. You will need one with good, strong elastic on both the top and the bottom of the band, as well as good support through the cup. Depending on your size, you may also need one with a wider band, underwires, and side boning to keep the breasts in place. Some also use silicon to keep the bra from shifting and sliding on the skin, kind of like a peel and stick cling-form. Re-enforced cups that have foam padding/shaping are also a good option to help keep breasts in place. Your best bet is to go to a good, reputable bra fitter(not Victoria's Secret) and be measured, then try on several bras. You will need to bend over, raise your arms, twist, sit and stand in the bra to see how much it shifts. Even the best fitting strapless bra will shift some, but you want one with the least amount of shifting and movement when you go through your daily moves to reduce having to put the bra back in place all day. The band must be a bit tight and the cups the right size to help with this. For wearing under a t-shirt, you will want a smooth, seam-free cup. Whether it has straps or not, the lack of seams and smooth cups help the t-shirt slide over the bra and keep you from having visible lines. Several good brands make strapless bras, but you will need to try them on before buying. Just be forewarned that a good quality, strapless bra will cost over $50US. It is an investment so be sure to follow the care and washing instructions carefully. Especially if it has the silicon on it to prevent slipping, as that does not do well in hot temperatures when being washed. Always hang dry any bra and was in tepid to cold water to preserve the elastic. Good luck!

How do you take off both straped bra's and strapless bra's if your a male?

Can anyone give me any pointers as well as tell me which ones that women generally like to wear more then the other as well as what's the difference between them? I know that there are a ton of bra's out there and probably more then I have mentioned but I was just curious because I'm 19 and never had sex before and this is something that has bothered me for awhile because I didn't know if women wore the kind that did have straps or the ones that don't. I'm new to sex and have been nervous that when the time came to have sex with someone that I love that I wouldn't know what to do and turn her off in the process of trying. So please any tips from guy's that have done both if not all as well as women would be appreciated. I guess i'm just unsure if i'm making a mountain out of a mole in something that may or may not be easy. I hope i'm not the only one to have been nervous about this.

Do backless/strapless bras actually work? If so, which are the best?

Backless, strapless bras basically stick to the skin with a mild adhesive.  It will stay on fairly well UNLESS:You are anything larger than a B cup, mmmmmaybe a small C.  I'm a C, and I've had some issues. You get warm, and/or sweat.  The heat melts the adhesive, and the sweat makes your skin harder to stick to.You move around a lot.  Gravity+movement+teeny, tiny tape=that bra is flyin'.You can, I suspect, use garment tape, or something like it, to stick the bra more securely to your sides, similar to those celebrities who use double-sided tape under extremely revealing garments.  Nordstroms has a basic bra I used at a shoot once, and it stood up fairly well.  I think it was the only option Nordstroms.com had, so the search will be easy. But don't do the visible bra-backless dress thing.  You'll either look like you're trying too hard and/or obsessed with SATC, or just lazy.  Reading your comments above, though, you might have to use chicken cutlets for the cleavage or tape[1] to squish the boobs together, then adhere again with more tape to your sides.  [1] Doesn't have to be "fashion tape".  Duct tape that has been lightly "softened" by pressing and removing against some fabric should work, too. Edit:  Some bras have extra underwire in them, oddly enough.  Those can hurt.  But those weird alien-like translucent bra thingys look way too small to actually function.  Try that Nordstroms bra.  I can show you the raw film that had the bra in it, if you want.Edit, the sequel:  The bra: http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/3097...

Wearing a strapless dress...hair up or down?

Hi,

Depending on what piece of jewerly you are wearing around your neck and earings is important. Less is always more! What does the top of your dress look like? Is it simple? If so, wear a fantastic necklace, something that will draw attention....no need for large earings then and hair can go up!

If you are wearing a dress with a bit of flash at the top....don't bother with a necklace...hair can go up or down depending on what your in the mood for. If it's down...you may have to do maintenance throughout the evening....if you put it up, more time spent on fun and less time in the bathroom =)

Good luck and enjoy =)
