Why Do You Want Study Nurse

Why do nurses need to study physics?

to get a degree

Why would a person want to become a nurse?

I'm studying to become a nurse mainly because I enjoy it. I enjoy studying about how the body works no matter how hard it is. I also enjoy the high expectations. I also like the fact that'll be one of the people who could truly say something like "We saved someone from dying." And of course we cannot deny the fact that hospitals pay well and nurses have a good job security status. Especially now that a lot of people from the baby boom era are retiring.

Then again, those are MY reasons. You need to have your own. I don't know about your university/college but our's require a high level of dedication since we need to have a 3.9GPA in order to get into the program alone. Good luck.

Why did you really choose to study nursing?

I am a current nursing student. I made the decision that I wanted to be a Nurse. My grandmother has been a Nurse for now 40 years and lives in Georgia. I used to live with her when I was a teenager. When I went to go visit her one time after moving away, I knew that I wanted to move back to Georgia and I knew that I wasn't going to leave my current state without a good degree, something that I would be able to use anywhere.

When I came back from visiting her, I ended up in the hospital and couldn't complete my STNA class, so at that point, I decided to go to school for computers. Well, after a year away from graduation, I knew that it wasn't in my heart. Nursing was in my heart. Caring for people, the atmosphere. Knowing that I am making a difference in someones life. With just a helping hand or my smile whatever.

So, I made the decision of going to Nursing school. Now I know that I made the right decision. The call kept calling me and i decided to answer.

Nursing is something that you shouldn't do just for the pay. I say that with any job. It has to be in your heart. a passion for it.

When Passion meets purpose( meaning your purpose in life, which takes soul searching to find). success is always guaranteed. That's called destiny.

To nursing students: Why did you choose this career?

I worked for years in the advertising and banking industries. In the end, all I did was contribute to someone's greed. At least in being a nurse, I can also help someone feel better or comfort them in some way.
I work as a Cardiac Monitor Tech, but haven't ever volunteered.
I would recommend this to someone who is intelligent and quick, but also down-to-earth and versatile. You have to conform to the attitudes and personalities of all types of patients (clients) and deal with their conditions and body fluids in a mature, constructive manner.

NURSE ASSISTANTS! i have questions, i wanna become nurse assistant...?

I'm a nurse, but started out as a nursing assistant. It is very hard work, but if you really like helping people it can be very rewarding. The place I work offer classes and they only last 2 weeks, then you get state tested and get your certificate. The test consists of a written test and a clinical test. Pay rates that I'm familiar with are $7.50 hr.--$10.00. The cons are that it's pretty physically intense work, and the kinds of places you would work are open 24/7, so you would be working some weekends and holidays. Hope this helps you.

What subject related to nursing should I study in Germany to have a stable income?

My response may sound harsh, but it comes from first hand experience:Assuming you want to persue this career in Germany, prepare yourself to work efficiency based. A practicum at an assembly line will give you an idea. Prepare yourself to work understaffed and overtime. Prepare yourself to do 30-50% of the time paperwork, and forget the idea to comfort anyone of your patients or perform any of the social aspects for which you chose to persue this career, because you won't have any time for such "sentimentalities". And the "best" part is, even if you specialize or take charge over a section, your pay will be less than acceptable, considering the heart and ellbow grease you put into it and the responsibilities you have on your shoulders.Be prepared to meet people who did this job all their life, telling you that this is not the job they learned, and given the choice, they would not choose this job one more time.Be prepared to swallow your being outraged about the two class medicine we have in Germany. My experience come mainly from internist and policlinical sections; there may be fields in which the situation is not that bad.Johannes König

How many years do you spend studying nursing?

If you want an LPN, you go to a technical school and the programs are anywhere from 12 months to 18 months. If you want an R.N. you go to the local college and take the prerequisites, which take about two years, and then you apply to the R.N. program and it may last from 18 months to two years.

How hard study nursing course in USA being a non-native English speaker who never had nursing training before is?

It is very difficult. When you study nursing you are learning a whole new language just from all the nursing material. If your knowledge of English is not very good, especially in your ability to read it and write it, things will be even more difficult. I cannot stress how many words you will have to learn-medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, names of drugs-generic and trade names, pathophysiology, many medical procedures-the list goes on.It has nothing to do with intelligence, it's just a matter of having to learn a language within a language you aren't proficient in. Even as a nurse I couldn't take the nursing courses again in another language I am not fluent in. My school gets a lot of students from various countries in Africa. Most of them have been speaking English for years, but they still struggle enormously with the unfamiliar terms. On the upside, most students from other countries have much better mathematics skills than American students, and that will help. If you do decide to study nursing at an English-speaking school, make sure it is one that has a lot of students for whom English is a second language and a school that has a lot of tutoring help for you. It would help if there is a community of people who speak your native language so you will have some people to help you navigate at first and help you feel more comfortable.
