To make money as quickly as possible. It might be good for them in the short term but in the long term you end up with a game that's not as good as it could have been or isn't as good as previous games in the series. With Dead Space 3 they took a horror series and turned it into an action game. Fans were disappointed by this change in direction and not enough new fans got on board to make the change worthwhile anyway. Dragon Age II was only in development for 1.5 years and was much more limited compared to the first game. You could only play as a human unlike the three races you had before and many locations were re-used on multiple occasions. Mass Effect 3 had a similar issue as with Dead Space 3. A lot of the RPG side was cut down or removed entirely. There were fewer options in conversations than before which isn't a good thing in a series where the player deciding what choices to make is a core feature. To fix this EA should do what they're doing with Dragon Age: Inquisition now. Give the game a chance and the time it needs and don't make changes like the ones above.

The actual last game I bought from EA was the first two Mass Effect games, because EA is so greedy they won’t allow DLC to be purchased through Steam, like money grubbing bastards.See EA is the definition of money-grubber.
