Why Does Kelly Blue Book Only Go Back To 1994

Why does Kelly blue book only go back to 1994?

How can I determine the value of a 1983 car? Someone told me their car was worth a lot more than I thought because of the blue book value. I tried to look it up online and it only goes back to 1994. Are they making up stuff?

How reliable is Kelly Blue Book?

KBB is a joke and has been for a while. I dont know of a single dealer who uses it any more.

What you dont see in KBB is continuously updating data to reflect current market conditions. Right now, dealers are having a very hard time finding good used cars for their lots. Every auction I attend - and I attend a lot - has cars going for well above MMR (average auction price). Some are going for close to the KBB retail book. Its simple supply v demand and the supply is low.

here is an example from this week's auction. Keep in mind, this is an auction where only dealers buy and sell to get cars for their lots: 1994 Ford Escort wagon - Transmission slipping - Check engine light on - busted windshield. What is that car worth? Realistically, I would never pay more than #400 for that at sale. This one went for $1375. Thats just stupid.

Well, when wholesale values are shooting through the roof, retail follows. If a dealer has to overpay at the auction, the price on the lot will be higher. Unfortunately, KBB will not reflect th is until the book change in about 4 weeks.

If you need a car right now, today, be prepared to pay more than KBB says its worth. However, this is a temporary condition, and values should start coming back in line in about 5-6 months.

ADD @ RObyn - If you really are from KBB, let me say that your system is only used in Karpower labels for windows. I maintain that no dealer I know has used your information as alegitimate source for valuing trade-ins in a very long time. KBB has done a great job of placing themselves as a resource, but the info contained only serves to muddy the waters, confuse consumers, and frustrate dealers.

Kelley blue book value for 1984 ford thunderbird?

can anyone tell me what the different kelley blue book values are for a 1984 ford thunderbird? i tried looking it up on their website but it only goes back to 1988. thanks :)

Why does the Kelly Blue Book only go to 1991? How can I find the worth to a car older than that?

There is no "blue book" for cars over 20 years old, what would be the point? There are very few around, and almost none on dealer lots. Cars that old are valued by how much the seller can get for it and how much the buyer is willing to pay. Your car might be worth $500 or $1500 depending on who you sell it to. You have to find someone who want's that particular kind and style of car to get the best price, to anybody else, it's just an old beater.

Blue book value on a 1982 Chevy?

www.nadaguides.com Has the value for older cars and trucks.

a 1982 chevy truck really aint a "classic". Yes is fits into the 25 years or older range, but classic to gear heads means older cars/trucks that's getting harder to find..

The 73-82 chevy trucks are a dime a dozen still.. You can pick them up everywhere you look.

Yours may be worth $2500 if its in very nice cond, 100K miles or so on a 350 or 454 v8 engine, nice paint and body, nice interior, etc.

Which books should I refer for the preparation of the SAT?

A lot of these answers are wrong and I hope that some people don’t take their advice because you will waste time practicing with some books. To clarify, I did not score high on the SAT (relative to someone who might have a higher score and is answering this question) . I got a 1380: 720 Math and 660 R/W. Writing: 40/44 right. Reading: 31/52 (Yes. I know. Terrible). Math: 51/58.This is what I learned.ELIMINATE THESE BOOKSBarronsKaplanPrinceton (This is your LASSSSTTTTTT resort if you finish the books I am about to suggest. The Tutorverse is best for math, Erica Meltzer is good for reading and writing.Websites:UWorld - #1 Test Prep for USMLE, ABIM, ABFM, NCLEX, SAT, ACT & MCATKhan AcademyThese are books compiled from my 4 month journey reading Subreddits and asking students who scored 1500’s how they studied.Avoid the books I mentioned at ALL costs because the SAT has questions designed a specific way and those books do not imitate that.Edit: I had potential to score higher on the SAT but all my studying was done 2 weeks prior to the exam.
