Why Does My Computer Shut Down After I Go To My E-mail

Why does yahoo mail keep freezing up and i have to shut down my computer to get it to work?

Computer shut down during system restore, now it won't work at all!?

So last night I was using my computer and everything was fine, I turned it off and went to go do some other stuff. When I got back on to check E-Mail and stuff there was some weird stuff like my Anti-Virus wouldn't work and it said it wouldn't run because Windows couldn't verify it. I immediately went to system restore to try and go back to an earlier point where everything was fine. It kept taking forever to do the restore and at one point the cursor animation just froze for a few minutes so I decided to shut off my computer and restart it and try again but now I literally can't do anything. I can't run into safe mode, can't even run into command prompt. After asking what mode I want to run in, the screen just goes black and all I can do is move my cursor. So basically I'm wondering if there's a way I can fix this or am I going to have to get a new hard drive and/or OS disk or what?

How can I automatically turn off the display when I shutdown my computer?

I still haven't encountered a monitor that can be 100% turned off automatically when the computer is turned off. They will just go to sleep mode (say 95% off) when there's no video signal coming from the computer. To really turn it 100% off you have to unplug it or cut the power from the cord.Simply pressing the power button to turn it ‘off’ will still consume some power but will be less than when in sleep mode so I would say it's about 99% off. That 1% may be for keeping the circuit to the power switch alive, waiting for the switch to be pressed once more to turn the monitor back on.

Why does my computer turn off when I paly Age of Empires 3?

check your hardware , get PC CHECK and run it before loading windows ...burn it on a DVD and boot on it ! do a complete scan if nothing turns red to FAILED, go back to windows and run a program called WINSTRESS ...it does exactly what you're thinking ! it stresses the computer using everything aspect that windows might. if your computer shuts down during winstress well ...do another pc check if nothing procede with hardware elimination , try new RAM , PSU , GPU and remove all optical drives you have.

check the games specs and requirements if you meet them , well ...check if you have a good graphic card and if it needs a bigger power supply sometimes people forget to change power supplies.

go to your bios right after the computer shuts down and check its temprature !

anything else ? reinstall windows and see if the game does it again ...update all software you have to make sure youve got the latest patches up and running ! and by updating , i also mean windows updates !

My computer will not sleep?

I have an Alienware M14x R2. Recently, when my computer goes to sleep, the lights and fans will stay on, until the computer shuts off. There is no way of waking the computer without shutting it down after you tell it to go to sleep. When the computer shuts down, it starts up telling me windows has encountered an unexpected shutdown and gives me this info:
